IT IS NOT ORGANIC AND IT IS NOT 4 SLICES,
JUST 1 HUGE PIECE.
WE ARE AN ELDERLY COUPLE AND IT IS NO USE TO US.

What has happened to Farmison ? I have always been happy to pay the premium price for quality meat from local small suppliers. Recently, I ordered 3 x 500g packs of “diced” lamb. One reason that I was impressed with this previously was that the decent sized cubes of lamb needed little or no trimming preparation for cooking.
This time it was obvious through the clear bags that there was a great deal of fat. A little is good for flavour but this time most of the pieces were 5-10 mm of fat attached to 5-10 mm of lamb. The photo shows the total yield of fat after 30 mins of trimming one 500g pack - 170g ( or one third ! ) What has happened to Farmison ? Part of my order consisted of 2 x 500 grams of braising steak. I had to trim excess fat and sinew which amounted to 220 grams(!) being removed before use. Never had to trim any braising steak before FARMISON was taken over by another company. The two packs of lamb I had paid for were missing from my order. FARMISON did not know why as website was showing in stock.
Delivery was unreliable. I was given a choice of a delivery date. This was not adhered to and arrived a day later, despite FED-EX sending an email to say it would be arriving on my requested day. No further emails from FED- EX informing me when it would be delivered and no phone number to contact FED- EX.
FARMISON used to use DPD who were brilliant. Informative and always on time. Farmison meat and service was always first class, but sadly this is not the case anymore. The beef and pork mince I received was of such poor quality I threw it away.
FARMISON ARE NOT THE COMPANY THEY USED TO BE.
I am sorry to write such a poor review having used FARMISON on many occasions. However it is my honest opinion and I will not be using this company again.

Prompt delivery and excellent product received but am very concerned about amalgamation with Donald Russel as my experience with them not as good as with Farmison

Thought I’d give them another try but once again the product supplied was nothing like the image of it on their website. In reality, much smaller but also rather pale and flaccid.

Always lovely quality meat & prompt convenient delivery

I have ordered from Farmison on numerous occasions and always been very happy with the quality and service. I will not be ordering from them again.

I bought a 3kg rolled sirloin joint for a special occasion and paid £153 (a huge amount of money but it was a very special occasion). I’ve had this size joint before and it has been delicious.

This time, the “roasting” joint I was sent was extremely long and thin. I thought it was a fillet cut to start with. However, it was over 55cm long and wider on one side (approx 10cm wide) and tapering to the other. It was so long that it would not fit in either a roasting pan or my oven whole and needed to be cut in half to roast. As it was tapering and an inconsistent size, it made cooking extremely difficult. The tapered end also had more connective tissue so was tougher.

On receipt of the joint, I contacted Farmison immediately as it was obvious it could not be roasted whole. However, their customer services team were unhelpful and unresponsive and simply told me that’s just the way it is, roasting joints come in all shapes and sizes. Obviously, I recognise that they do but if you’re selling something as a roasting joint, I would hope that I could fit it in the oven, especially for the amount of money that it cost. I would never have bought that joint at a butcher and I guess that’s the risk you take with an online butcher. Having been so happy with previous products before, it’s such a shame. I fear their quality and attitude to customers is diminishing.

Farmison have made it impossible for me to shop with them in the future.

I always give 5 star's but recently there burgers are now 2 instead of 4 for the same money and the condiments ketchup and brown sauce hasn't been in stock for ages. The meat is lovely but why 2 burgers now??
2 burgers at 8 pounds is a joke it truly is and I won't be returning until you stop the nonsense it's expensive enough trying to support farmers on disability benefits now its impossible and doesn't make sense. Disappointing

Very good service as usual, with quality meat that we enjoy

First order with Farmison and there will not be a second, thigh meat frozen solid and completely covered in fat, (supermarket thighs are better quality), free range chicken fillets, extremely poor quality, not a full fillet, cut down from an extra large fillet into a small chicken steak (another value supermarket trick), I will not be recommending Farmison to anyone.

I order all my meat from Farmison now it’s a total different taste to any other meat Iv had

Deliveries are on time, drivers are polite, and most importantly of all, the meat products are top notch!

Always good meat. Never any bad meat. Delivery is always prompt.

The meat was really poor quality with a huge seam of fat centrally splitting the joint in 2. For a family occasion I ordered a joint and paid more than £40 and was very dissatisfied.

Everything was defrosted

This is unbeatable the chicken is gauranteed to be good. It is chicken as it should be it is perfect in every way
