I've been an online customer for a number of years but decided to make a dream camera purchase so travelled to visit the shop in person. Fantastic shop and staff made the process of trading in some unused kit and the purchase of a second hand camera a breeze. Wide selection of gear on show and easy to speak to staff with no pressure to purchase.
Will be back again to maybe swap out the current Shimoda for a new one.......

After placing my order I was informed and kept up to date with the progress. From one end of the country to almost the other I received the package. The Flashgun was in good order but noticed that a small rubber grommet for the sync cord connection was missing. I contacted Ffordes and explained the situation, I was not blaming anyone as it could have simply been a case of it falling out when being packaged up. I was told that they would see what was about and let me know. To my surprise I had one arrive the very next day from them.

Great communications. Quick answers to my questions. Very correct discription of the item I was interested in. I purchased a 80 year old VIDOM viewfinder for my Contax camera. It arrived in it’s original box in almost pristine condition. Shipping was quick and with tracking. Very happy.

Professional after-sales service was excellent. The second-hand digital SLR body's images were noticeable less sharp than obtained from a 20 year old model of the same brand. That appeared to be consistent across similar models which was unacceptable. An upgrade to a higher specification model in stock was found at a sensible price increase which produced images more in keeping with reasonable expectation. A very satisfactory conclusion for both sides.

Just bought a dSLR lens from them at a very reasonable price. Next day delivery as advertised and the lens is almost like new.

I recently bought a used x1.4 teleconverter which was rated as Exc++ but which, in my view could well have been listed as M-. I'm very happy with the product and, above all, with the advice and service I've received. This is what I have come to expect of Ffordes, having purchased from them for some time now. Long may it continue.

I've bought lots of camera equipment from Ffordes over many years and have never been disappointed.
The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, and are more than willing to go the extra mile.
More importantly, the condition gradings used are very conservative. In other words, equipment is much better than you might expect from the grading. The arrival of a purchase from Ffordes always leaves me delighted.
Lastly, all the equipment I've bought over the years has been very well packaged. Nothing I've received from Ffordes has been damaged during delivery.

Requested a Canon 28-135mm EF IS USM. Arrived less than a day after placing the order. Lens is pristine, boxed, and looks brand new. Works well and the IS is working well. Good image quality. My last one was stolen, and this model works better for me than the more expensive L version (105).I'll be back again. Thanks.

Over the years I have bought and sold plenty of camera equipment with Ffordes, their knowledge is 2nd to none especially on the analogue/film equipment, keenly priced as well in all their products, customer service is excellent and they are always willing to help you ( especially if you bribe them with cake 😁).

Just bought a Canon BG-E11 battery grip from Ffordes, it was described as boxed excellent. When it arrived it was like new complete with both battery trays, soft pouch and all paperwork even the box was mint. I paid extra for next day delivery and it arrived by 1100 can't get better than that. Alister and the guys are brilliant I can fully recommend then and would certainly use them again for my photo gear, thanks guys.

I had been searching everywhere and was pressed for time to find a lens that my girlfriend’s brother could use to discretely photograph me proposing to my girlfriend at the Eilean Donan castle in Scotland after I was unable to secure a local photographer for the job. I couldn’t find a telephoto lens that would be here in time at all for the proposal (we’re on vacation from the United States, and we had just gotten to Scotland), but then I found Ffordes. They quickly responded to my communications to organize getting the lens, and when shipping would have been too slow/late, one of the staff hand delivered the lens to our vacation house in Inverness. Because of this, I had the lens in time for the proposal! Totally blown away that they would do that for me.

BTW, she said yes and the photos turned out amazing.

Bought a used camera a few days ago which was exactly as described and delivered very promptly.
Had a phone call yesterday to say that they now had an additional accessory for the camera and would post it on to me. Arrived today via RMSD at no extra charge.

Recently purchased a Canon 1DX MK2 from Ffordes, brilliant service, can't recommend them highly enough, fast delivery, am well happy with the camera

I wanted to upgrade my X100T, but prices for used X100F and X100V models seemed high. When the X100VI was announced, for not much more money it was obviously the model to go for, but availability looked to be a problem. The Ffordes ad said 'phone for availability, so I did, the gentleman was able to tell me how many people were on the waiting list for the black and the silver models. I paid a deposit and only about three weeks later I had a call to say a camera was available for me - I'd expected to wait for perhaps months. I've used Ffordes a number of times previously, mainly for film camera bodies and lenses, always without problems, so I'd recommend them without hesitation. GP West Midlands.

First time purchasing any used photography equipment. I had always previously hesitated, given how much kit costs without physically seeing it. After finding a used Sony 135mm F1.8 GM lens on the Ffordes site, described as "Mint" condition, I gave them a call to discuss the lens. I spoke to a very helpful Ross, who described the lens over the phone. He gave me confidence that the lens was indeed in mint condition and reassurances one buying used equipment. I decided to go for it and Ross took the order over the phone with next day delivery. Item has just arrived and I couldn't be happier. Superb service and a lens in mint condition. I will certainly consider purchasing used equipment from them again in the future. Also looking forward to popping in their store next time I'm passing that way. A very very happy customer! :)
