I recently purchased a used Pentax 28-105mm D FA zoom lens from Ffords via their website. The staff were very helpful in supplying additional and high quality images of this lens enabling me to be confident of the quality and condition of the item being as described. On arrival I rated it as being in "mint" condition, better than the "excellent" rating as advertised. The whole purchase process was easy, with ready and prompt information and updates from the Ffordes staff.
Based on my experience I can highly recommend, and would happily use again.

I had a problem with my settings and contacted the shop by email had a great response and was told it would be better for a 121 in the shop. I went and had excellent help from John he was very helpful and patient. Such a great experience thank you again

After contacting for some advice regarding a secondhand lense, it was minutes not hours and i received a really pleasant and honest informative reply. It was this reply that made me make the decision to make a purchase. I'd read some reviews, read the company's ethos and was struck by their customer care. Well, my lense arrived within a day, extremely well packaged and although I've not been able to try it out yet, I'm fully confident that should something not be right that these guys will support me until it is put right. They treated me like a valued customer and i will not hesitate to use this shop again. Brilliant

Cannot recommend this company enough. From start to finish they made us feel we mattered. We sold some of my uncles old camera equipment, didn’t know anything about it. They priced it bad even sent back stuff that was more personal than valuable. Absolutely superb service A+

I have spent lots of money purchasing cameras, lens, etc, from one of the biggest suppliers of used photographic equipment and received quality products. But I have never ever had a Christmas Day in November before! Yet, that’s exactly what happened today, when I received the used camera, I purchased from Ffordes. The condition was better than described, and the communication answering my queries was absolutely superb. I cannot rate this independent company high enough, and highly recommend them as a rare hidden gem amongst used photographic equipment suppliers!

I have just “discovered” Ffordes Photography while searching online for a specific camera body and they came up as one of many offering what I wanted, after comparing various offerings I chose the one they offered and made the purchase.
They sent the package via “Parcelforce” using their 24hour tracked service and took the time and trouble to contact me explaining that because of the current industrial dispute the package may be delayed, a very nice gesture and great service.
The package arrived on time and although the item was described as in “excellent condition” the description did not do the item justice as it was absolutely “mint” and exceptional value compared to those offered by others online, also included were extra items to get me started using the camera, a printed manual and a “user friendly book” to help me develop my skills with the product.
All in all a great company to deal with providing high quality products, great value and customer service prepared to go the extra mile for customers.

Absolutely awesome independent company. Equipment is accurately described, always of excellent quality, thoroughly checked and safely wrapped for delivery. Been using the team at Ffordes for many years and can’t rate them highly enough.

Having dealt with Ffordes on a number of occasions by phone and email both to buy and sell equipment I have always found them to be helpful, responsive and very fair.
More recently I have been spending extended periods in the Scottish Highlands and so have been able to periodically call into the shop. I have always been made entirely welcome, the staff have been helpful and patient and the range of new and used equipment available for inspection has been almost overwhelming.
I can happily recommend them to anybody looking for new or used equipment, advice or a great field workshop experience which they regularly offer in conjunction with their suppliers and well known photographers.

Fforbes came up trumps when I was looking for my new camera. A good price, great service before and after the purchase - a firm recommendation from me.

Purchased a second-hand Olympus Zuiko 25mm 1.2 PRO lens. The price was very competitive, even with the postage cost it was much less than MPB were selling it for. The description was very accurate. Six months warranty was very reassuring.

Ffords was recommended by a professional photographer who said that it was dangerous. Right enough. You could spend £1000s in there quite easily. Anyways. As a very unknowledgable person, I found their advice extremely useful. Very good service and friendly staff, such a rarity these days. I’ll defo return.

Always find Ffordes Facebook posts helpful and entertaining so I bought my Sigma lens from them. Very helpful and accommodating staff and competitive price. Ordered just before 1pm and it arrived next day. Great service.

Superb service from start to finish. I was given Ffordes gift vouchers as a birthday present and made contact to ask for advice about which camera to choose. Those I had originally selected from the website weren't really what I was going to give me what I wanted. I'm no technical photographer but at no time did I feel the suggestions or explanations were patronising - they just hit the right spot and helped me decide what to get. Decision made, the purchase was arranged by email and phone with the camera arriving next day. Initial playtime with it shows that it is ideal for what I need. Thank you Alister, Terry and everyone else involved!

I purchased a camera from Ffordes but initially had little chance to use or look at it when it arrived. When I did, I noticed that the integral hood had been removed from the lens and an aftermarket one had been attached to a Hoya filter and pressed onto the lens. I contacted Ffords who said that as I was beyond the returns period they would only issue a credit note. As I was looking for this particular camera and they are uncommon this was of no use to me. I requested a refund on the basis that I thought that such a material alteration to the camera was worthy of mention in the product description. I was told that I should have noticed it on the pictures posted and that they were under no obligation to also put it in the written description.
OK so what am I unhappy about? If I am feeling generous then i suspect that the Ffords "inspection" of the camera missed the modification/repair, i.e. incompetence/mistake. If I am feeling less generous then they noticed it and decided to ignore it and just sell it on with no mention in the description instead falling back on "well it was in the photo". Whether it was Incompetence or "sharp practice" I would not buy anything from them again and would not recommend them to you.

Traded some very old film gear for a used digital lens. Very easy service and a good price offered. New lens is excellent. Fast delivery. Good communication- very professional. NOTE. their desktop website is much easier to use than the mobile one. Much more in the menu!
