I bought a tripod from Ffordes in summer while on holiday in Scotland 2021. At some point after that in the coming months I managed to loose one of the rubber feet. Twice I unsuccessfully sourced a new on off eBay. Each time being sent the wrong size despite there size guide stating it was the correct size. Finally I chanced it to see if Ffordes could obtain one. Not only did the managed to get me the correct one but there was no charge either. Fantastic service. They might be 400 miles away from where I live but I won’t hesitate in future to use them when purchasing any future camera gear. A thoroughly recommend company to do business with

Excellent used 24mm f1.4 Canon EF lens and very good price £480. Most other used lenses of this spec cost £700 and new ones £1500 and brilliant for my wide angle astrophotogrpahy. Staff were very professional in the way they handled my purchase. I bought one copy of this lens which was not as good as I would have wanted so they willingly exchanged it for a second copy of the same lens which turned out excellent.,

I ordered a Canon 400mm f2.8 usm L lens. Despite there being zero available anywhere, these guys gave me a fantastic deal. The whole team were exceptionally easy to deal with and they rushed it out to me in 2 days....couldn't ask for better service. i will definitely be buying here in future!

Purchased a new lens from Ffrods …… had never used them before. Transacted the business over the phone, and the person I spoke to was friendly a helpful. Completed the purchase, and the lens arrived on time, immaculately packaged, and in first class condition. Good / straightforward people to do business with, coupled with competitive pricing. I just purchased a used Nikon 35mm film camera from ffordes and I was very happy with the service I received, from my initial contact with the store about shipping to Canada and placing the order the service was first class. From placing the order to receiving the product was 4 days that is pretty impressive.
I bought the camera purely out of nostalgia as it was my first SLR many years ago, but will certainly be putting a few rolls of film through it.The camera was described as in excellent condition and that was spot on, thanks to everyone at ffordes.

First order with a used X-E3. Everything went well. Informed instantly of order placed. Kept updated throughout. Camera is exactly as described. Well packed. Quick and very pleasant customer service. Altogether very happy and will be using again.

I ordered a roll film camera and an unrelated lens hood.
They arrived next day. Both items were even better than the descriptions and pictures, in the case of the camera just shade short of mint ! Exceptional service, and very well priced. What's not to like ? I've known of this firm since 1966, but never made a purchase until now.
Don't hesitate, use them, I did !

They managed to get my camera back to me before Christmas despite the Covid issues.
Its nice to see that traditional customer care is still operating and not dead.

Ordered a pair of Leica Ultravid 8x50 HD Plus binoculars off Ffordes website.

They were described as MINT Minus so I was expecting to see a slight mark or blemish on the binoculars somewhere.

Anyway, they arrived within 48 hrs which good considering I ordered them at c 5pm . Upon opening the box and closely examining them I was delighted to see they were in absolutely and utterly AS NEW condition. All the original packaging was there as were all the accessories , instructions, the majority of them such as the strap and rainguard were unused. I've worked in photo retail over the years, seen a vast array of all sorts of used equipment and graded them accordingly. Even with my critical eye I could not see a single blemish anywhere on them.

Ffordes have produced a shopping experience I would have been proud to have given back in the day. They have for me underpromised and overdelivered. And their packaging and overall attention to detail was superb as well.

I have been shopping at Ffordes for years, without a problem. I feel that if there was a problem they would sort it out, they are an honest outfit. More often than not their grading has proved to be conservative, I have no problem buying exc+ knowing the item will be very presentable. I bought my latest camera from them and then looked round for a lens only to find the best deal at Ffordes, blast it, two lots of postage. But no, very quickly I received a refund on postage as both items were packed together. This is unusual, many dealers would charge twice. If you are buying an expensive older camera such as my Leica M8 their return policy gives you confidence. Lovely that they sell a good range of film. I look at their website almost every day, you can pick up great equipment at low prices if you are quick. As you can tell, I trust Ffordes.All the best, Charles.

My first experience in dealing with Ffordes, but certainly won't be my last.
I needed advice on a certain camera, to include a suitable lens, and having spoken to a very helpful John, I settled on and purchased the relevant items.
These were delivered extremely quickly, and I have to say was, and am delighted with my purchases.
I would certain recommend Ffordes to anyone for all things photography.

Just received my order from ffordes , both flash gun and camera control are as advertised in excellent condition , even the batterys were supplied for them which was a bonus , delivery was fast next day before 1.pm , will be using ffordes again .

Bought a 50mm 1.4 lens from FFordes a few weeks ago not only am I disappointed with my purchase ill never buy anything from there ever again. In the description it did say faulty but working on manual focus only no auto. So i ordered it my first shoot with it i went to zoom out fully in manual and it locked up. Not only did it lock up but it had no focus what so ever. I had to pay Duty into Ireland not stated on there website that there could be import charges. So instead of me sending it back I have sent it out for repair as it should be still a good lens when working properly I don't understand how FFordes can send actual broken products out the door to a customer & it clearly wasn't even tested properly now im down the cost of the lens Duty charges, Shipping to fixers & repairs & shipping back.
There was a gritty feeling to the lens when i put it on my camera when turning the focus ring clearly not checked what so ever properly.
I have learned my lesson here & to stay clear of FFordes Photographic. I should have just bought a new one it would have cost about the same. Sold as seen ya selling junk more like it. So disappointed its not even funny. I was told it could be either one or two things the aperture ring is warped or the motor is broken or worse both of them are broken.

Received my M3 within 24 hours fantastic. Beautifully packaged. Brilliant company to deal. Staff are brilliant too.

Over the last few years, we have purchased quite a few items from Ffordes and have never had any issues with the items.
All the items were exactly as described, the pictures online were clear and any external issues could be seen, so far none of the items had any.
Only on one occasion did we have reason to call about a late delivery, and it turned out the delivery van missed the connection at the airport due to an accident on its way there, Ffordes offered me an immediate refund of my postage on the item, which turned up the following day, but I asked them to just give me free postage on the next order to make things easier.
My latest purchase, turned out not to have a 3 pin plug on my battery charger, and that issue was quickly solved with a phone call and a shaver socket adaptor one was in the post the following day, along with a camera strap I asked for as the camera did not come with one, I asked for a no frills plain strap, but I was sent a new branded one.
I have recommended Ffordes to many of my friends who are on the market for good quality second hand goods, and always will do.
10 out of 10 for customer service and quality of goods, what more can you want.

Made 2-3 sales with them. Emails Clear. Letters to confirm sales clear. Purchasing equipment also made with ease. Wouldn't use anyone else when making sales in Scotland.
