I was a little nervous on arrival, but the friendly and professional manner of the staff put me completely at ease straight away. Everything was explained in detail with ample opportunity for me to ask questions. Andy , the pilot , took his time explaining everything that he was doing, and his obvious huge experience made my flight an incredible experience ! My family, who were in a chase plane, were also treated in the same manner making the perfect family day out with ample opportunity for photos. After the flight we all had a workshop tour which was fun as well as informative.
The atmosphere in the cafe was great and everyone had excellent views of take off and landings plus photo opportunities to take pictures of pilots and passengers in a no rushed way.
I want to thank Andy and all the staff for making my flight an incredible family day out which we will always remember. Thank you.

Knowledgeable staff, a fascinating tour and the flight of a lifetime. Any student of aviation has to experience a flight in a real live Spitfire. This will live me forever

Can't thank Andy and the team at Warbird enough for making the day such an amazing experience. Flying in such an iconic plane really is a dream come true. And having my wife & daughter flying alongside filming me made it extra special. Sure I'll land eventually but I'm enjoying the dream for a bit longer.

Wow! What an amazing day! I booked a Beachy Head Spitfire flight with chaser plane and I can honestly say it was the BEST experience!
From start to finish it was a very slick operation. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable.
Special thanks must go to the pilot, Jeremy (Jez) Britcher who made me feel totally at ease and thrilled me beyond words with three victory rolls!!
Everyone in the chaser plane was full of praise for the experience too.
A fabulous day that will live in my memory for ever.

My wife and I celebrated our 70th birthdays by deciding to fly together. She was the passenger in the Spitfire and l flew in the Mustang. My wife was a bit 'nervy' initially but the professional and friendly briefing prior to the flight and the relaxed approach of all the Warbirds ground/air crew soon eased her apprehension. The weather was kind to us with a beautifully clear day and warm sunshine. We flew around the coast of the island in echellon formation that was interspersed with breaking-off for some aerobatics, inluding a Victory Roll. The whole experience was a superb day that is now a warm memory for us. The inflght videos allow us to relive the occasion regularly. Thanks to all at Warbirds for an unforgettable day, particularly Kaye, Franco, Joseph, Charlie and Barry.

What an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish.The staff were so warm and welcoming.The tour of the hanger was given by a very knowledgeable member of staff.Unfortunately I cannot remember his name but he did support Chelsea.Christian was friendly,Knowledgeable and made both my wife and i feel totally relaxed.My pilot James was fantastic,making my experience flying over the White Cliffs of Dover one i will truly never forget.I cannot recommend this experience enough if you ever get the opportunity to experience this with this amazing company.

What a one of experience, the team at flyaspitfire where engaging and put you at ease
My only suggestion is a small one, this was the first time they have operated out of southend and it would have enhanced the whole experience to have some refreshments in the reception area along with some regalia reflecting what the individual is about to do.

Absolutely incredible day absolutely once in a life time experience. Everyone there were very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the experience.
Booking it was very easy and all the info sent was useful and communication through it was good.
Safety brief was all complete and everything explained well and the actual flight was one of the best things I have ever done. Fortunately we had a chase plane and the footage was amazing and I got to experience it with my family.
I have already started saving for my next flight but I want the ME109 chase plane.
Thank you all especially Andy the pilot for such an amazing flight and such skillful flying would totally recommend it was truly epic

Enjoyed a fantastic fly a spitfire experience at Blackpool Airport. The Hangar 42 volunteers were all incredibly welcoming, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The T.9 Spitfire commander (Charlie) was brilliant and made the flight in MJ627 over the Fylde an unforgettable experience. Thanks to Charlie and all at Hangar 42 for helping me to fulfil a lifelong dream to experience the thrill of flying in and handling the controls of this beautiful aircraft.

Firstly I would like to thank the most dedicated and devoted crew at "Fly a Spitfire.com" for not only keeping these wonderful and unique warbirds in such beautiful condition for all to see, hear and wonder at, but offering the most unique and memorable experience of a lifetime!! I was not only able to tick the "big one" off my bucket list of flying in, and taking controls of the iconic Spitfire (in my case MJ627), but do this over my beautiful home county of Cornwall - an experience that I will never forget, and as a very proud Cornishman, one that brought a lump to my throat! I would like to thank all at Newquay Airport who not only hosted this event but who were involved in the logistics of providing flight slots in a busy commercial airport. Huge thanks also to the amazing Dave and his ground crew for all their efforts in not only making the experience run seamlessly from the arrival of me, my wife and guests, but for the banter that made me feel extremely relaxed before and after the flight. A special and personal "Thank you" also to my incredible pilot Andy, who was simply awesome!! I not only got to experience the wonder of simply flying in this superb aircraft, but revel in its agility as he performed several Victory rolls - much to my delight!!! (Sorry Andy if I nearly deafened you with my Whoops of joy!!). I also got the unexpected thrill of my lifetime by saying the magic words "I have control" as I gently took the stick and flew this wondrous warbird across the skies of this picturesque county. The "Fly a Spitfire" experience is unique and worth every penny!! If you are thinking of doing this, please just don't hesitate, just take the plunge and DO IT!!! I cannot express my gratitude enough to you all for making the excited boy within this 61 year old man very very happy indeed. Finally fulfilling that childhood dream of soaring across the sky accompanied by the distinctive and unique sound of the Merlin engine.

As a retired CEO I always look for negatives. I struggled. But plenty of positives.
They made the experience a WOW! Event. Ran like clockwork.

Yesterday I flew a Spitfire. Barely 24 hours later I am still trembling from the memory of the most wonderful experience ever. I have never controlled a real plane; radio-controlled models and PC based flight sims are one thing. The real Mcoy - particularly the finest interceptor fighter ever built - could not possibly be bettered even for a guy of advanced years (just passed the four-score years).
I flew from Blackbushe and signed up for the Isle of Wight circuit. The Fly-a-Spitfire ground crew were supreme: the lovely Adele and Heidi made the pre-flight safety and administration processes, important as they are, totally painless. I can’t praise then enough for their friendly and cheerful interaction and they did everything possible to make this the matchless realisation of all my expectations of flying a Spitfire.
Ace pilot Adam then took over with a friendly, assuring attitude inspiring in me total confidence. Being something of an enthusiast for the technologies of airframes and engines of that era it was the ultimate thrill to sit in the co-pilot seat and appreciate the well-used comment “you don’t get into the Spitfire cockpit, you put it on like a well-fitting suit”. Engine start with the mighty roar of 27 litres of v12, taxi to runway 27 and with minimal delay we are rolling into an effortless take off.
A brief lesson from Adam over the intercom into the arts of managing the joystick and “you have control” comes across. Wow; I really am in control. With excellent visibility the panorama of Southern Hampshire, the Solent and them a tour around the Isle of Wight revealed the beauty of the landscape. Shortly before reaching the Needles Adam fits in a barrel roll to the right followed smartly by the same to the left. Then a vertically banked turn above the Needles and we are on the home run. It seemed that I was ”flying” the kite for at least half of the outing and how wonderful is that. Safely back at Blackbushe there is ample time for friends and family gathered to make the most of photo-opportunities around MT818
It was, without doubt, one of the greatest and most unforgettable experiences of my life. If you have even the slightest interest in aviation, Fly-a-Spitfire is an absolute must. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Enormous thanks to the entire team.

An absolutely incredible experience. From first contact with staff over the phone, to meeting the crew at the airfield, everyone went out of their way to make me feel welcome, and reassured (not that I needed it!!). As for the flight, it was something that will stay with me for life. THE most special, exhilarating and emotional experience.

It was amazing and brilliant day I don’t think I can express just how good this day was. The pilot James was fantastic the ground staff were brilliant I can not recommend this enough. My amazing wife sorted this for my birthday as this has always been a dream of mine now fulfilled .
