My husband and I had an excellent experience working with Julien through fPlan. He is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to walk us through every aspect of our financial plan in a way that was easy to understand. He introduced us to several strategies and planning ideas that we never would have considered on our own and that have the potential to save us a significant amount of money over the long term.

What really stood out was that Julien is a true fee-only financial planner. His advice felt objective, thoughtful, and tailored to our situation, without any pressure to purchase products or services. On top of his expertise, Julien is genuinely personable and easy to talk to. He made what could have been an overwhelming process feel straightforward and enjoyable. We both came away feeling much more confident about our financial future.

What a fantastic experience! I have been cobbling together advice about retirement, pensions, real-estate, investments, and inheritance, and no one could pull it all together for me, let alone present me with a concise, elegant plan from now (age 55 yrs) to 95. Julien was thoughtful, tactful, and asked great questions to learn my particular personality with money. He helped me see that I am actually well positioned for my retirement. He also gave me specific instructions, timelines, and the confidence to manage my own investments going forward. Julien was fantastic - we met a few times to thoroughly review my financial situation and retirement goals. I had a great experience with FPlan, Julien. I initially missed our first consultation, however he followed up with me and patiently rescheduled a second one. I was late for the second one (just a bad week and timing on my part!) and despite that, Julien had a thorough and informative consultation with me. Due to his professionalism, I decided to move forward with him during the consultation. We then scheduled our discovery session, and it was very informative. It was super easy to talk about finances and my goals with Julien, and he had a lot of input and strategies to help meet my goal. After that, he was able to produce an amazing plan within a few days. I looked it over and requested some changes on my part before our final session, and he made the adjustments in time for our final session and had readjusted to the final plan. In the final session, we went over the plan and came up with some great strategies to move forward, and Julien went over a few things that I wasn’t aware of at all that really helped move my financial independence sooner! I’ve already recommended him to my friends, and will continue to do so. I’ll also be following up with him regularly in my FI journey.

Julien is an experienced and knowledgable advisor. Very easy to work with, and he answered all our questions and provided an excellent plan for us to follow.

This is my first time dealing with an independent advisor. Julien's feedback was quick and analysis was thorough. Though very amicable, his feedback was direct and to the point with a well thougth out recommendation. He is clearly enthusiastic and an expert in his field. My only regret is that I didnt find him 20 years ago.

It gave us the peace of mind to start our retirement with confidence. We had many moving parts going on during the first year of our retirement so wanted to make sure we had a good start that was sustainable and tax efficient for years to come.

From the beginning, the experience was smooth and easy. The intake form was simple and detailed, and during the discovery meeting, Julien did an amazing job digging in for more answers. I'm in a rarer situation as a person who believes in Financial Independence, Retire Early (FIRE), but even with my somewhat complicated situation, Julien offered solid advice, shared a variety of options, asked key questions that guided the rest of the process, and continued to get more details on other questions revealing possible government grants that may save my family tens of thousands of dollars. For the low price of advice-only financial planning, I don't really see how it can get much better than this!

Julien at fPlan is a very thorough and engaging financial advisor. He quickly and accurately assessed my families financial needs and created a plan that fit our goals. It was easy to provide the information required, and I felt safe knowing fPlan took the necessary security steps to safeguard that info.

I got so much more than I expected from working with Fplan and getting a financial plan done. I went in feeling like I knew a fair bit about finances already but this experience further proved the adage "you don't know what you don't know". Not only did Julien educate me on some important financial concepts I was unaware of, but he also corrected a few that I thought I knew and had wrong. The cost for his services were significantly lower than other advice-only firms I had looked at. It's clear he is extremely knowledgeable and competent in his field and that he is passionate about providing good financial advice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
