Poor commitment
Order was picked up on April 1st and was onsite the 6th or 7th. As of April 13th it is still not near its detination.
Failure to Deliver Paid Services – Costly and Unprofessional Experience
I had a highly unsatisfactory experience with this freight provider involving both service failure and questionable billing practices.
For a shipment to Calgary, I explicitly paid for power tailgate service and appointment delivery, both of which were not provided. The delivery was delayed, missed the scheduled window, and arrived without the required equipment. I was forced to arrange a forklift at my own expense to complete the delivery.
The delivery receipt clearly confirms:
Liftgate was required
Tailgate service was not used
Forklift was used instead
After raising the issue and requesting reimbursement, instead of properly addressing the failed services, the invoice was modified by zeroing out those line items and reallocating the charges into the base freight cost.
This effectively avoided issuing a refund while maintaining the same total charge.
This kind of billing adjustment raises serious concerns about transparency and accountability.
Combined with poor communication and lack of timely follow-up, this experience resulted in:

Significant time spent resolving issues
If you depend on logistics providers to honor contracted services and maintain transparent billing, I would strongly advise caution.

Freightera is one of the best shipping companies around. We've shipped many hundreds of skids with them over 10+ years. Almost zero errors on their part. They have amazing, responsive staff are super fair when goods are lost or late. Our Broker Nevena is truly amazing. She's helped us out of a pinch on many occasions. It's important to remember when shipping that it's not always the brokers fault, they just contract shipping companies out. There's going to be issues occasionally. A lot of fist time shippers such as those above having tantrums, just don't understand how shipping works.

Terriable Experience
Overland West lost my goods during transit, and the claims process through Freightera has been extremely disappointing. I was informed that a lost shipment claim could take up to 6 months to resolve, which is completely unreasonable. Although the customer service was acceptable, communication was difficult, slow, and frustrating throughout the process. This experience caused significant inconvenience to my business, and I would much rather work directly with a trucking company in the future. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Freightera for LTL service.
