Gane and Marshall Reviews 

We worked with Jeremy at Gane and Marshall for our 2 1/2 week Kilimanjaro and family safari trip. From beginning to end, I would highly recommend Gane and Marshall.
Our trip had 3 phases:
1) Kilimanjaro climb for myself and my daughters - 13 and 15 years old
2) Short family safari for my wife and son (9 years old) while we were on the mountain
3) Family safari for the 5 of us after the Kilimanjaro climb - Lake Manyara, Ngrongoro Crater and Serengeti.

Given all the moving parts, we critically need an experienced tour operator who could manage all the logistics - Kili climb, multiple lodging reservations, transfers and safari logistics - as some of us were going to be out of touch while on the mountain.

G&M came through spectacularly on all aspects. Jeremy pulled together a detailed itinerary taking into account all the family needs.
We also had numerous calls with Jeremy to confirm the training schedule, gear and mountain logistics and preparation. We then had other prep calls to discuss packing and expectations for the safari.
On all points, Jeremy came through and patiently advised us on each point - whether it was the food on the mountain to how to maintain hygiene so we wouldn't fall sick and how to pack for the safari.
Gane and Marshall helped us successfully pull off this once-in-a-lifetime unforgettable family adventure trip.

My wife and I decided to use Gane and Marshall to arrange a trek in the Rwenzori Mountains of Uganda as part of our honeymoon. They were incredibly hands on and responsive in helping us select the right trek for us, running down all of the details and nuances, and getting us all of the right information at the right time so that we were never overwhelmed but always felt that we were in control of the situation. The trip itself was fantastic - all of the connections and stops along the way worked flawlessly, and the trek was incredibly special.

We would be very happy to recommend G&M to anyone even for their most important and special once-in-a-lifetime trips!

We have had super holidays before with this company which went like clockwork but this one never even happened thanks to KLM. It was a total disaster. Our dream holiday to Namibia and Botswana was ruined by flight delays and missed connections and the appalling customer service from KLM. We were virtually abandoned in Schipol to make something of the mess the airline had made. Fortunately once we got home Gane and Marshall have gone out of their way to assist us with the very complicated issues and practices of compensation. We are trying to be optimistic and with their support we may get some reasonable sum of money back. A big thank you.

We've used Gane & Marshall a couple of times now and they're a fabulous company who make a non-standard holiday seem like it's the easiest thing in the world to organise. They arranged our complete trip to Africa in 2012, taking care of the flights, climbing Kilimanjaro (sucessfully!) and then a safari, including accommodation and transfers. G&M provided great support for our trip and everything went smoothly. When we decided to go to Antarctica in 2017/2018 we had no hesitation in booking via G&M. This time we were more independent but G&M were absolutely invaluable in arranging the basecamp cruise (a trip of a lifetime!) and our international flights. When the piggy bank is replenished we'll go straight back to Gane & Marshall to organise our trip to Nepal. Thank you for all your help, support, knowledge and excellent organisation!

Amazing ! Wow! I have no words but will try. From the moment I decided to go on the trip to svalbard longyearbyen - everything was taken care of. I was sent a choice of activities I wanted to do and the rest was in their capable hands. All I had to do was get my clothing (which they told me what I needed) and they booked the hotel and excursions. I simple had to turn up when I was told. The communication was simply and easy and they were always there for all my queries.

Planning to go anywhere unusual I would always travel with Gane & Marshall and their team!

I have nothing but praise for Gane and Marshall and all the ground agents they use in Africa,everything has always been been there where Sarah told us it would be - cars, boats and aircraft. Very special in Africa.
Sarah has always looked after us, answering many, many questions, looked up a lot of different places to ensure they suited our requirements - nothing has ever been too much trouble.
Travelling with my sister, we have always felt safe traveling to many countries in North, East and West Africa.
We have only ever booked by email!
I would recommend Gane and Marshall and Sarah to anyone and everyone.

We have used Gane and Marshall in the past for our two holidays to India and Namibia and will shortly be leaving for our third. Our own representative Sarah is extremely knowledgeable and most helpful. We have had very well planned and co-ordinated trips with her assistance and also great peace of mind should anything have gone awry. There are probably companies who are a little cheaper in price but we rate this one as very good value for the service we have received.

I used Gane and Marshall for my trip to Madagascar and it was excellent. The accommodations were amazing, my driver was safe and a great guide and the itinerary was exactly what we wanted. I was so impressed with the company that I am having Gane and Marshall organize my trip to Uganda for my holiday this year and so far the itinerary looks amazing and they have worked with us to create exactly what we want. I will definitely be using them again for future travels.

The Lewis Moody Foundation has undertaken a number of specialist, bespoke challenges organised by Gane & Marshall including a 1000km bike ride in Vietnam and Cambodia, a multi-disciplinary challenge in Costa Rica and a North Pole trek. Their attention to detail and level of client care is fantastic. They are extremely professional, easy to work with and are always on hand to trouble shoot and overcome any issues that can arise on such trips overseas. The safety of all participants has always been paramount, with Gane & Marshall undertaking thorough challenge recces and they clearly have a great network of providers and ground handlers in various countries which have ensured the smooth running of all the challenges we have worked on. They are always my first point of call for any new challenge idea.

I have worked with Gane and Marshall for a number of years now and cannot speak highly enough of the care and professionalism that is always forthcoming. The quality and impact of the work we have carried out together is sensational and has been a part of transforming the lives of the young people that we work with.

I first Travelled with Gane and Marshall to climb Mount Kilimanjaro 12 years ago. I returned to tackle the challenge again in 2016 with my 16 year old daughter and have also travelled to Morocco this year to climb the Atlas Mountains. The organisation of these expeditions are faultless, the Guides and porters are second to none, and without question the most experienced on Kilimanjaro. When on the mountain, witnessing other groups experiencing difficulties, the first people they come to for advice, are the team from Gane and Marshall. Ethically, they pay their porters and guides well and organise college education facilities for porters who otherwise would not have access to higher education. I can see no better recommendation that to use Gane and Marshall for any expedition I choose to challenge myself on next. Giles Standing

Gane and Marshall were fantastic. This was our schools first time on a foreign expedition. We had all the major things organised for us and planned. The itinery was great and suited the needs of our group really well. My only comment to improve is to create a bespoke kit list to each destination. We took some kit that was not necessary and missed out on some that was needed.

However the experience put together by Gane and Marshall was life changing for our boys and will mart be forgotten.

I have undertaken many challenges and adventurous trips over the last 5 years. from the North pole to Vietnam on foot and bike. I can safely say I would not contemplate using any other company than Gane and Marshall as the level of attention to detail, organisation and commitment to see every project through until all members have returned safe and sound to the country of their origin is absolutely second to none.

Due to the nature of trips I undertake there will always be setbacks and issues to overcome with the expedition. So it is imperative to know we have experienced operators like Jeremy and Mike to ensure the smooth running of all the ground handling and travel arrangements. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to take on a challenge and looking for a travel consultant.

We climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and had a few days afterwards on Zanzibar, organised by Gane & Marshall for our honeymoon in October 2017. The trip was fantastic from start to finish and we had an absolutely unforgettable time. Jeremy provided a personal service and every small detail was handled perfectly. We will use Gane & Marshall again without hesitation!

Kilimanjaro 2017 - Gane and Marshall handled and personalised our holiday and climb. Great communication and care from Jeremy to make sure we could be as prepared as possible for a successful climb. Would strongly recommend them for a tailor made trip. I myself have already booked a second holiday (safari) for this year with G&M.

Having undertaken a charity walk across Costa Rica in Dec 17 with the guys I can heartily recommend them. First class organisation, first class experience and no problems. Everything went to plan.

They are knowledgeable, professional, efficient, flexible and easy to communicate with.
Our bespoke trips to Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia went smoothly, due to good organization by Sarah and G&M, and the excellent local tour companies they work with.
Airport pickups , border difficulties, accommodation selections, guides were flawless.
Two older ladies travelling on our own always felt safe and had no difficulties.
And we did all our bookings from Australia.
