Garmin is a bad product

Garmin is a bad product, the batteries overheat and do not hold their capacity, never buy Garmin again, it is not expensive for the money and it does not last, and as for the complaint, they do nothing and say that everything is fine, just so they do not have to change anything, do not buy, there are other brands that are of better quality and do not break after 2 uses

I phoned Garmin to renew my charts subscription and, unfortunately, it was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in years. I was made to feel like a nuisance for calling. The person I spoke to sounded uninterested and as if they’d just got out of bed or were coming off a bad handover, and it felt like they couldn’t be bothered to help. The call felt rushed and dismissive, and I got the impression they just wanted to get me off the phone as quickly as possible. Really disappointing, especially as I was simply trying to renew and continue using Garmin.

I bought a Garmin Lily a few years ago

I bought a Garmin Lily a few years ago. I loved the way it looked but functioning wasn’t fully up to par with my Apple Watch. I was aware that it was different when I bought it but I had thought the missing features wouldn’t bother me. However, I really missed certain aspects of the Apple Watch. I recently lost the Lily and I was disappointed that I had no way to find out the last location it was in before it died

Great watch when it works but it…

Support expectations not met.

I have a Garmin Forerunner 945 that has had a production failure (the glass was coming of the case). I told them that this issue has been gradually gotten worse over the last 6-9 months and now the watch stopped working. I contacted support and they said they could not help me because the warranty had expired by 3 months ...and offered me a discount. Yes, I get it, warranty is warranty and they have policies, fair enough. Still disappointed that they would not take into consideration that the failure had occured before the warranty had expired and given a better offer.

Garmin Varia Vue 820

Garmin Varia Vue 820, purchased upon release 6th February 2026, issue on first ride out, checked was an update, updated the unit, when riding the cars just stop behind you, have to stop turn off and pair to head unit whilst on the road, check again another update and mega update on edge 1040 head unit, works sort of after pairing again, every the light comes on randomly whilst turned off!!
Now i pair the head unit with the rear light everytime i get ready to go for a ride WTF is going on, called Garmin offered replacement or money back, i choose replacement Vari Vue 820, send back via UPS as requested, take to local drop off point 4th March, call Garmin customer support 6th March why parcel has not been picked up by UPS, basically guy told me to go away and wait until it’s picked up, i asked at the time is there any issue with UPs no response.
8March i went to drop off point shop, they said it had not been collected, i recovered my £260 failing light, arranged Royal mail to collect from home and ship 24hr delivery.
Called UPS i had to instigate an investigation!! when i called Garmin, an investigation might take 2 days whilst the light is at home with me!! Garmin Amy just kept repeating they cannot reimburse me £4.75 for Royal mail delivery and could send me to arrange another code to take to a drop off point in a few days, i asked about collection from my home, can’t do that. and can’t quarantee if when the light arrives at Garmin returns, the light will he deemed as recieved, may take longer to send new unit out. no offer of compensation for the failed light or the postage costs incurred.
There is no interest in looking after customers.
The Garmin Varia Vue 820 should not have been released in the 6 February 2026.
Poor quality product and poor customer service.
Light arrived at Garmin returns at 10.31, 10 March, less than 24hrs from home pickup, Garmin did acknowledge recieving dodgy light, but only when i went on chat line and sent photo evidence it had been delivered.
Was advised, might take 48hrs for new unit to be shipped. we will have to wait and see.

Fantastisk kundeservice og support

Fantastisk kundeservice og support. Fikk problemer med Bluetooth på klokken Venu 2 etter å fått ny iPhone 17. Tok kontakt med support og fikk raskt kontakt. Vi prøvde å løse problemet sammen, men endte med å sende inn klokken til reparasjon. I dag hentet jeg pakken på Posten og til min store glede har jeg fått en helt ny Venu2 med ny reim 😃 Fantastisk kundeservice 👏👏 Har alltid hatt gode opplevelser med support og kundeservice! 😎

Service client garmin mauvaise foi

Ma montre vivoactive est tombée en panne. Apres avour contacte garmin , ils ont proposé de récupérer la montre et de m offrir 20% de remise pour en acheter une nouvelle. Nous avons renvoye la montre defectueuse mais jamais récupéré la nouvelle envoyée par UPS , qui n est jamais arrivée.
J ai mis 2 mois à récupérer la somme payee. Ils ont d abord renvoyé une somme ne correspondant pas à la somme payée. Il a fallu un bon nombre de pièces jointes pour prouver que garmin nous devait encore une trentaine d euros.
Bref après avour récupéré la somme nous avons donc redemandé la remise de 20%. Garmin nous a envoye un bon de commande incluant la remise qui finalement s avère plus chère que dans le commerce. J ai refusé en demandant une explication. La reponse est: " nous ne sommes pas responsables du prix que font les revendeurs "
Résultat nous avons acheté une montre garmin moins cher que nous le faisait le service commercial garmin. Et garmin m a dit que ma montre defectueuse avait été détruite. Donc mauvaise foi garmin?????

Veldig god kundeservice når den nye…

Veldig god kundeservice når den nye klokka fikk trøbbel.
Kundeservice tok saken på alvor, og sendte ny klokke uten noe diskusjon.

Eneste trekk er at alt sendes til og fra Danmark, så det ble noen uker uten klokke, men alt i alt god kundeservice :)

5* all the way

After over a decade with Fitbit, I hesitantly switched to Garmin in December 2024. It's a year later, and my Venu 3S has served faithfully. It had a couple of non-major glitches over these 12 months, prompting me to reach out to Garmin.

The support guys were consistently excellent (shout out to Christian just now). Reddit is full of praise for Garmin customer service, but I was still a bit cautious... Needlessly, so far. It's been a 5* experience. Sticking to these guys. Thanks!

I am utterly disappointed with my Epix Pro Gen 2. Despite the premium price, the software—which comprises 90% of the user experience—is anything but premium.
My device is experiencing critical bugs, including random restarts during workouts, and has been deliberately abandoned from significant software feature updates because Garmin has effectively ended the Epix 2 line's software development cycle. This is a blatant betrayal of your promise to support your flagship products.
This is not what I paid for. Since you cannot fix these issues due to the lack of ongoing development, you have failed as a premium brand. I will never spend money on any other Garmin product.

Fik erstattet med nyt garmin ur (replacement)

Gennem salgswebshop Komplett.dk i Danmark blev mit garmin vivoactive 4s sendt til reparation hos Garmin Norway. Det kunne ikke længere oplades. Selvom uret lige var blevet over 2 år, fik jeg et helt nyt ur (replacement) sendt direkte med posten til mig. Virkelig god service. Tak.

Gutted and very disappointed

Gutted and very disappointed – not a good purchase for runners
I’m honestly gutted to discover that my £350 Garmin Venu doesn’t support map downloads or proper route navigation. The product info is really unclear and talks about “downloading courses,” but doesn’t make it obvious that this feature doesn’t actually apply to the Venu models.
There’s a “navigate” option that will generate a course for you, but you can’t load or follow a premade route, which is such a basic need for runners who plan their runs in advance.
For the price, I expected much more. I feel misled by the unclear descriptions and extremely disappointed that a watch aimed at active people can’t handle something so fundamental. Not a good purchase for runners , wish I’d known this before buying.

Worst support experience.

I ordered a vivomove clock from Garmin store online, when y'all had you're birthday deals.

And I ordered and I payed, first I payed with my visa and then it took some days and I did not get any reply and nothing so I had to contact support and ask what's happening and why my clock haven't been delivered. So the support told me that my payment didn't go thru which I thought was weird.. so when I was on the phone with support she asked I can try and take the payment now, so I told her, ok you can do it. And then she told me yes it went thru.

And then I waited yet a couple of days and I did not get any tracking number or anything, so I contacted support, and then they told me that the clock band was to be ordered because they didn't have it in, so I had to wait until it got delivered from London location.

And then today I got yet another email about my payment not going thru which I tough was weird yet again since the previous time I talked to support she assured me that it went thru.

So today when I called the support again.. I had enough so I did what the Garmin support surely guided me to do.. and I cancelled the damn order. I've had enough.

It shouldn't be this hard to order an item and be done with it.

This is the worst experience I've ever had.

I still want the clock I ordered in the first place without any trouble...

Can I please get some advice from someone who has any experience as an superior costumer support?...

Ikke mer Garmin

Aldri mer Garmin etter å ha opplevd kundeservicen deres. 2 ggr på rad har vi kjøpt dyre klokker som ikke har fungert. Dårlig GPS, ujevn pulsmåling, håpløs søvnregistrering, lav batteritid, uetterettelig aktivitetsmåling. Begge gangen har Garmin påstått at det er vi som må finne feilen og når vi svarer på spørmålene deres bagatelliserer de feilene og ber oss om flere tester. Iflg kjøpslov er det selger/produsent som skal sjekke feil. At en produsent selv ikke kan sjekke produktet de produserer er makalaus argumentasjon fra deres side. At de driver noe som er tett opp til medisinske råd basert på så dårlige data, er betenkelig. Dårlige klokker går i omløp fordi Garmin ikke tar de inn. Jeg så en kommentar om at negative anmeldelser ikke er til å bry seg om fordi folk skriver mest når de er misfornøyde. Jeg i og for seg enig i at det oftest er når de har problemer, men min erfaring etter å ha jobbet med mennesker, er at de klager ikke gjerne, da er det alvorlig for dem

Connect+ paid subscription

Gotta love spending hundreds of pounds on a Garmin watch because the android app and all of it's software updates are free, just for Garmin to decide to turn it into a paid subscription. This should be illegal under false advertising laws.

Kjøpte en rulle som Garmin er importør…

Kjøpte en rulle som Garmin er importør av og har kundeservice på. Kjøpte med ekstra Boss på rullen for å få på bruke min sykkel med Campa utrustining. Trengte derfor en låsering på dette Bosset siden min sykkel hadde et annet boss. Henvente meg til kundeservice og fikk et svar som sannsynligvis var AI generert. Samme mailen fikk jeg gjentatte ganger. Kunde service kom medd mange irrelvante spm. og det ble ettervert vanskelig å få han på kundeservice til å forstå dennen enkle saken. Han ga derfor oppp med den begrunnelse at han ikke kunne tilby låsering og han på grunn av agenturer ikke kunne tilby noe. Ble bare oppgitt og fikk hjelp på et annet sted på nettet for å finne gjengetypen til Bosset som Garmin solgte. Får vel bare si takk for bortkastet tid :)

Kjøpte ny garmin klokke juni 24 og den…

Kjøpte ny garmin klokke juni 24 og den ene knappen på klokken sluttet plutselig å virke januar 25. Får beskjed om å sende inn klokke, og blir lovet at alt vil ta en uke. En uke etter jeg har sendt den inn, får jeg beskjed om at de ikke klarer å rette feilen, og at de ikke har klokken min inne, og at de forventer den om 10 dager.

Er dette god kundeservice? Kan de ikke sende noe tilsvarende? Få fra en butikk?
Utrolig skuffet over totalt fraværende kunder service!
