Generatepress..what are you doing.. removing default padding, margin, border radius, etc options which are default in the wordpress block editor in the free version....seriously?

I used Generatepress for many years as it was, to me, the best out there for creating page headers, footers, templates and general pages with the block editor. But the wordpress Full Site Editing experience nowadays is the best it's been in years.. you do not need to be paying for any themes now.

Removing key basic features to force people to buy the premium to get (removed!) block settings like padding and margins, that are there in wordpress by default, just feels like a bit of a scam I'm afraid to say.

I own GeneratePress Premium and GenerateBlocks Pro. Previously, I could freely download all the starter sites, but now they require purchasing GeneratePress ONE to access new ones. It's really disappointing — after investing in an expensive lifetime license for GeneratePress Premium and continuing to pay yearly for GenerateBlocks Pro, I feel like key features I originally paid for are now being locked behind an additional paywall.

I've been with Generatepress + Generateblocks since the beginning. A truly easy, leightweight and well-coded theme.
It offers you all the possibilities you could actually need without adding things other plugins already do and do better. Generate does what it is supposed to do and does it exceptionally well.
When there is a new update - you know it works and doesn't break anything. It adheres to standards and best practices and is easy to use.
The support given in their dedicated support forum is always quick and goes beyond what you would expect.
Overall a first class experience for a fair yearly subscription cost.

Throughout my years of optimizing websites and improving their ranking on Google, and other major search engines, I've used many WordPress Themes. I knew optimal page speed was a ranking factor before Google made it so.

On all the websites I had to redesign to improve page speed and online visibility (SEO), I use (for many moons now- I believe it was released in 2014 if I can remember) and recommend GeneratePress with GenerateBlocks (paid versions is available of course if you are looking for the additional features GP pro offers). The free version is still outstanding too.

Ranking high on search engine results pages (SERPs) is about providing the best possible user experience, page speed, high-quality and relevant content, not bells and whistles you don't need.

I wish I could attach screenshots of some websites' GTMatrix and PageSpeed Insight before and after switching to GP and GB.

Is there a learning curve? Yes but slightly, and they both have extremely decent documentation and a multitude of videos on YouTube to get you start and improve your site design, layout, UX and site speed.

Their support is extremely well. I reached out to them, several times, and their response was within hours.

I don't get any kickbacks from writing review. If you are looking for a speedy website and good design, then GP and GB are it.

So if you are looking for the most light and speedy theme for your website, GeneratePress is the way to go.

Great Theme! So far I have build 10+ websites with GeneratePress. Took a bit of time to get used to but it's awesome. The difference compared to the default WP themes is insane!

They make it sound like easy theme to use but is for coders essentially

I've been using Wordpress for about 15 years and have been using GeneratePress for about 8 years after trying out a variety of WordPress themes. Generatepress is the lightest and fastest WordPress theme. So, if you combine performer hosting with generatepress, you will have both performance and speed. You can create any page layout or design you want with this theme. The most impressive aspect is the support. They have always found a solution to any coding problem. This team is so friendly and helpful that you can see their smiles in their messages. So, for me, this is one of the best and most impressive online support services.

I bought the $69 version of the premium theme. I fully intended on buying the lifetime $250 version but decided to give it a test run first. Boy, was I glad I did!

The theme and its Block system is great and easy to use... until it isn't.

I wanted to put a video into a header -- something you can do in 2 seconds flat with other website builders. 2 DAYS LATER and I still don't have what I set out to achieve -- and that was AFTER contacting support and getting virtually no help, as well as paying a coder to do it for me, who ended up butching my site even worse than it was before!

The documentation is written in CSS and HTML gobbledegook, and even that bits that weren't still didn't work! I don't want to spend days/weeks learning something I'm only going to need once!

Very irritated by the lack of support. They replied a few times but it was cursory at best. Stick to Wix or Weebly or Elementor if you only want to build a small website. Steer clear of GeneratePress. It's a time and money suck.

One of the best and popular theme out there. It helped me to increase my website performance and speed. He totally focused on speed and he knows what he is doing.

Honestly a great piece of theme. And no - this is not only for 'experts'. You have to dig into it a bit, yes. But its top notch and far over every as stated 'easy to use theme' out there (especially those from ThemeForest). Its simply great - even better: Its easy to use, fast, lightweight and with a support of its own class, better than 99% of all supports ever encountered. Worth every penny and second you spend with it.

This theme has a lot of features and is fast. I definitely recommend using it with Gutenberg and GenerateBlocks (from the same developer).
With some code tweaks, it works like a charm and there is a reason even professional developers like it

Don't buy this unless you know how to code. It expects you to build every aspect of your website from scratch. Help files are all css this and html that. For experienced users only
