George Hill Timber  Reviews

As its coming to the end of my decking season I would like to thank Kevin, Gordon and Will for your terrific customer service you have given me this year with my decking projects. Swift email quotes, friendly phone calls and as all my timber is treated thanks for the speedy tanalising process and attention to the needs of my delivery schedules.

A special mention to the drivers who have delivered my timber supplies in some difficult spaces and bendy driveways who have persisted in unloading my goods to the premises and on time whatever the terrain.

You all make a great team, and I will be placing my first order with you next March and look forward to another year of excellent customer service.

Fantastic family run business! We are a chartered architects practice in Oldham and we have used George Hills Timber, and have confidently recommended the company to our clients, for over 10 years. We have found that their knowledge, expertise and experience surpasses their competitors and they are happy to impart that advice to their customers. We have never been disappointed and they have always been easily able to source the lesser known timber and building products that we may ask for. Nothing is ever too much of a problem for their team and they are always extremely professional.

We use George Hills for our larger orders and specialty ply/timbers. I am writing this review because Helena has just got us out of a potential sticky situation after our client had a change of heart on the design. Helena went above and beyond to get us our materials to us within 2 days after our other supplier was saying two weeks.
The quality of the timbers, sheet materials and doors from George Hills are second to none. If you have a project I highly recommend that you give George Hills a call.

Been using George Hill Timber for several years now. Always very helpful, friendly and always try their best to get you the best possible pricing whilst maintaining the quality of their products. I will continue to use George Hill Timber and will continue to recommend to friends, family & colleagues.

As a sole trader, I’ve always looked around the market for the best possible pricing on products but since starting to use George Hill Timber I know I will get the best pricing possible along with the quality of product I expect & need. I have, in the past, used various timber merchants but none come close to the service received by George Hill Timber.

If you are looking for a timber merchant then I can highly recommend these!! They always go above & beyond to get you what you need and when you need it.

Kevin, Gordon and their team are always happy to help, give advice and accommodate all our requests! Prices are fair and products are good.
