To say we were nervous for our first unaccompanied flight was an understatement and Australia seemed like such a long way from the UK . Scary to go alone but us suitcases are made of strong stuff! The team at getmyparcel made things pretty simple, just getting our weights, sizes and what we'd be taking over. We were reminded that some items were prohibited to take in to Australia so any of those were left behind as who wants to sit in customs for days in end and have all that paperwork? Well our journey began on a Tuesday. The chauffeur UPS van collected us and started our travel across the globe with the first stop at glorious Castle Donnington. Not quite were we thought we'd be but we were being well looked after. A short while later we were escorted to our first aeroplane for a short hope over to Europe and the next stopover where we're sure they mentioned there would be sausages.. but turns out it was koeln in Germany .. no frankfurters in sight. A short stop there before reboarding and flight number 2. A little deja vu as we were pretty sure we'd gone over a lot of these towns and coastlines before. And yes, as it turned out we had back across the channel then over the wide altantic ocean to the good old US of A. Beginning to feel the journey so had no interest in a KFC as we landed in Lousville. So pretty much half way and 1 and a half days into the trek. Didn't have to wait in stopover too long before boarding another plane, continuing our travel West. After another few hours we began to descend, so we must be nearly there.. Alas it was another stopover Honolulu.. Wow, our parents haven't ever been here!. No time for sightseeing though as we were soon away again . A bit longer flight this time and by now we were pretty cramped. Good job we don't have elbows a there was no room for those. Not too much later the plane descended again to our destination.. well country at least, Sydney not too far, but Brisbane still a way to go and there was all to formalities, paperwork and customs stuff to get done. Crossing our zips that we filled in enough detail and that the helpful guys at gmp dotted all the i's. Sadly it was a Friday afternoon we arrived so we had to wait it out over the weeked. If we had fingernails we may have ben biting them. Well it turns out the gmp guys really know their stuff and we were cleared for the short (just under 1000kms) drive North to Brisbane and our final destination. Well almost. Just a little detour to connect to our final carriage with AusPost, one more night stop over and then delivery to the doorstep where we were finally able to open our zips and spread ourselves across the sofa.

End to end 7 days travel for 2 well stuffed suitcase to travel halfway around the world. Made simple and cost effective by the GetMyParcel team. Thanks and we would happily use again.

We had a difficult delivery of documents to a UK bank from the USA. Getmyparcel stayed on top of it, worked with us and the carrier to sort out the correct address and get the documents delivered with minimum delay.

Easy online booking, swift pick up and good tracking. Only thing I would say is i was a little unsure if I should have book parcel as a passport package or document package as it was a bit unclear with what I was sending

I started the process on December 28th, they picked up the suitcase on December 30th, and as promised, they delivered it on January 2nd. It may have been handled a little roughly as a few objects on the inside were a bit dented, but it'll teach me next time to put a little more cushioning around objects. Overall, excellent service and definitely very happy not to have to lug it through airports as I would've had to otherwise.

I saw a lot of recommendations for Getmyparcel.com by people in Chicago needing to ship packages to and from the UK. The recommendations were correct. Nice and easy to print the labelsand to request a pick up even during the Christmas period. The driver turned up nice and early and was great. The packages were picked up on Monday and delivered on Thursday despite it being Christmas week.

1st time shipping with GetMyParcel! Parcel picked up Thursday late afternoon from Highland Park, IL US, delivered on Monday to Essex, UK. Brilliant! Will definitely use this service again!
