Great experience.
Beautiful piece of oak, which fitted into my timber flooring very well.

Overall service is good.
Lead times quite long however and prices could be better.
Product quality excellent.

Update: The owner of Planks reached out. Stating they'd started to change some of their practices with the aim of my experience not being repeated. He made all the right noises and even offered a full refund if I amended/removed this review. I stated I would leave the review up but would relay they had reached out and said they were making improvements in QC and CS. That's the last I heard. Make of that what you will.

My experience with Get Planks runs from my initial order date of 29th October to December 21st.

In that time I’ve been sent an oak floating shelf that was split and the finish on it needed a lot to be desired, multiple broken promises on deliveries and replacements. Refusal to refund, as well as really engage with the issues. Customer service is both oddly engaged but removed with almost chat bot levels of communication. For example after the second missed delivery of the replacement shelf, which they did manage to schedule their collection but didn’t inform me my delivery was not coming, I was told this was happening as I only selected 3-4 day delivery and I should take it up with UPS. Despite their previous emails telling me they’d not sent it out.

Anyway long story short I wouldn’t recommend this company. A few delays in oak being shipped to UK was fine. But everything else was rubbish.

….oh and to make it worse the replacement when it finally did turn up is bent like a banana so probably going to be unusable. I’d contact them again to rectify but will cut my losses and try and use the straight bits for something.

I would add, with the same effort as pulling testh, they did offer 10% and then after my insistence 20%, refund. But given I’m left with a giant oak banana I should have got a refund. Although they weren’t having any of that.

If I could post pictures to trust pilot I would.

Recently I was looking for some hardwood with a specific grain and came across Planks. Made the purchase. Though there was a delay with the delivery the customer service was quick to respond. The tradesman who came this morning commented on how good this hardwood is. I have made a further order.

A great company super product and good value

Found Planks on Google when looking for an oak windowsill. The price was good and cut to size I needed. The oak was delivered as stated and packed really well. The quality of the oak was very good and the finished job looks great. 👍

I ordered a few boards of Sapelle from Planks and my experience was perfect. The ordering process on their website is clear cut and easy to navigate. The boards were prepared by them in a relatively timely fashion (approximately 2.5 weeks) and once ready they were shipped to my door via UPS quickly and efficiently. The boards arrived well packaged and in beautiful condition.
During the process any questions I had were answered quickly and in a straight forward and direct manner by Lucia who is a real credit to her company. Communication (which was carried out via email) was clear and all information passed to me was absolutely bang on in accuracy.
All in all a very reliable company who sell a high quality end product, I will absolutley be using them again when I’m in need of more quality timber.

Lucia is what made the difference as regards getting my timber delivery from UPS she was fantastic in keeping us up to date the issues the courier was having..would definitely buy from Planks again and recommend to both business and personal contacts

Excellent product, service, communication, cost and delivery charges

Beautiful oak that was cut perfectly ready for installation. Was impressed with delivery speed too. Would not hesitate to order again/recommend to others.

Such a fab service from start to finish- great communication/ support when the order was placed (we needed some help finalising the size of our table top- they went above and beyond to assist with this).
The order arrived on time and the quality of the oak is absolutely beautiful. The grain pattern is stunning and so far it’s proving very durable- withstanding the mess our 3 small children make 3 X a day! We love sitting around our new table and can’t wait to place our next order.

Top quality oak, easy to order

We recently purchased an oak table top to create a new dining room table from Planks. We had a few queries and questions about treatment as we wanted a very specific finish and James couldn’t have been more helpful in advising us which route to go down. When delivered we couldn’t be happier with the finished product, the quality of the oak itself is fantastic and the product is cut perfectly. Will definitely be purchasing more from Planks in the future!
