They say they aim to reply to you in a week. BS. It's been a whole month that I didn't get back from them!

It has glitches. For example it shows that I have expenses in 2022 that I never recorded. Unacceptable glitch.

This is not sustainable. They need to hire more people otherwise it will come to an end.

Great software, I can't imagine managing my business taxes without it

the first response was pretty automated/ from a template, however when I asked for more details, i received excellent customer service and clarified my query.

I'm using getsorted for a year now.. Super simple interface and very helpful support team.. I'm really happy with the product so far..

Sorted has helped me to file my German freelancer taxes for the past few years. I love that I can file all my forms for a flat fee but my favorite part is the responsive customer service and extra services I can order from a licensed accountant. They are my advocate when the Finanzamt has questions. It really helps me focus on my business instead of getting drowned in paperwork.

When you come to Germany everyone tells you how horrible the German bureaucracy is (plus their tax system), but with Sorted it's like you don't even feel it. They do everything for you. Their support is great, and the simplicity of the system allows you to focus 100% on your work. And if you don't speak German, even better, you don't need to worry about anything.

Great and easy tool. Highly recommend for freelancers, it will save you so much time!!

Sorted has saved my sanity and thousands of Euros in accounting expenses! It's actually less work to manage my own bookkeeping through the software than it was paying a tax accountant to do it and answer their questions, and jump through their hoops. If ever I have a question, their support team and our assigned adviser have the answers - and even when I pay for a consultation, everything costs way less than my previous accountant. I recommend Sorted to every freelancer I know!

After spending some time looking for a service that would support me as a freelancer I landed on get sorted.

I've now been using them for a year and find the experience perfect for my accounts, invoicing and expenses.

It gives me greater confidence in ensuring I'm following the rules of Germany as well as having a great resource of information for first time freelancers.

I am quite happy with it for doing my taxes.
very easy to use and straightforward.

However, there are some glitches when I make my invoices.

The lines go to a new page when there is plenty of space on the first page, so I end up with just two lines per page when invoicing, which doesn't look professional and I don't like sending it that way to my clients.

Another glitch is that when I name my invoice and then make a new one (as I need to make 4 - 6 invoices per month) the name switched to the new invoice name on all of them. So if I don't send each one before I make the new one they get all messed up, making it difficult for me to send invoices at later dates and to go back and check my accounting.

Great software to help manage your invoices and taxes as a freelancer in Germany. Especially as a non-native German speaker since everything is available in English. The customer support is also really fast, helpful and friendly. I can only recommend it.

It is a great tool for when you start as a freelancer. You don't have to deal with Finzambt or Elster - which is very good. It's perfect for people whose German is not perfect yet.

But, there is a downside:
The customer support is quite slow
There are some mistakes in the app, for example the calculated VAT percentages are sometimes plain wrong. And if there is something wrong - it takes ages for replies and for them to fix it.

I’ve been having GetSorted for just over a month but it is such lifesaver! It makes invoicing, keeping track of revenue and expenses and tax submission amazingly simply (what otherwise would be just boring, complex and time consuming!).
I’ve had a specific question and the support team was super helpful!

So far so good!

I have been using Sorted for 4 months already and it is so pragmatic. I can keep track on my income and my expenses and communicate to my Finanzamt here in Berlin directly.

Wer sich selbständig macht sollte unbedingt getsorted probieren und ganz besonders wenn man mit dem Ausland handelt. Getsorted ist das einzige Programm, dass es geschafft hat mir zu zagen was ich wo in der Steueranmeldung bei Umsätzen einzutragen habe. Die Bezahlprogramme waren nicht in der Lage.

I had doubts regarding my tax submission and their tech support was super helpful.

Sorted is one of those tools I have been waiting for. It's easy to use, has everything you need - and it makes accounting - which is something I do not enjoy doing - FAST!

Up until 5 weeks ago, I loved it.

But then, I submitted a report that turned out to have a mistake in it. I received a letter from the Finanzamt and everything went sideways. After chatting with the paid tax advisor in Sorted, he directed me to technical support as it was NOT a mistake in my accounting, but a mistake somewhere in the depth of Sorted calculations.

Ever since I have in frustration tried to get in contact with Sorted to solve the issue, but it's impossible to get a hold of them. I already had to call the Finanzamt to beg them to extend the deadline - but now my new deadline is running out too.

Sorted is a great product, but sadly this situation just showed me that I cannot trust them or their system with handling my accounting.

Edit 07/07 - 2022:
Sorted got back to me and resolved the issue. By then I had already contacted another accountant, who took care of the matter as time was running out. It was a frustrating situation, but I suppose the lesson is to prepare everything very early on so you have time to get support if anything goes wrong. I still love their solution for what it is, but sadly lost a bit of my trust in them because of the situation.

Really Helpful tool for all stuff around freelancing in Germany. Writing invoices, integrating your bank account, managing taxes. Works like a charm and cares about the things you don't want to.
