I hate leaving bad reviews, but I want to share our experience. For a service that was supposed to make wedding planning less stressful, it actually caused us more anxiety. The user experience was quite frustrating and difficult to navigate, and connecting our own URL proved to be tricky. I had to contact customer service multiple times, primarily because guests received duplicate emails (up to 10 times), which made us look quite foolish. I even had to apologise to my guests during my wedding speech to make light of the situation. Some guests were confused about which parts of the day they were invited to, and others had trouble with the gift fund. One thing that I did find useful, however, was that we were able to download guest lists with food choices to give to our caterers. We did also receive a partial refund, but the developers have a long way to go to make this website a smoother and stress-free experience.

A really great website that we used to send our guest invites, request our guest food menu choices and keep them up to date with meet times and locations as well as details of our day after celebrations as we were getting married abroad. Would highly recommend if you're getting married abroad and want to give your guests details of where to stay and to keep them apprised of any changes in meet time, venues, dress code etc etc

We used Getting Married to organise or guest list, send the invitations and messages to our family and friends.
The site is fairly easy to use and we picked up replies on both laptop and smartphone. It definitely worked for us and makes sending invitations easy.

The sight was really handy for researching venues and professional photographers. Thank you also for tips.

The website was difficult for people to respond, and difficult for us to setup as admins. Without knowing every email address of our guests, they had to log on and say who they were, we would then have to allocate them to who they corresponded to on our guestlist, then they would receive an email to log in and confirm menu choices. A very long and clunky process for something which should have been really easy.

This was initially done by someone else who paid for the premium version, so goodness knows how much harder this would have been had they not paid. We only ended up using it due to money being paid without our knowledge otherwise we would have ditched it and used anything else.

I decided to use a website for my wedding invitations.
It was brilliant, everyone has an email nowadays & if not a family member does!

It saved time waiting for replies & obviously the expense of printing & stamps!

The templates give you lots of choice & are really lovely!

I wish I’d use the ‘save the date’ facility as I concentrated so much on the day that lots of evening guests had already booked holidays!

My only criticism is that I didn’t send the website to my evening guests as it had all the details of the whole day & I didn’t want to take the chance that the evening guests showed up in the day as it would’ve been embarrassing 🙈 😂
So perhaps a facility to separate the events, (I know you can have separate events but they are all on the same website - hope that makes sense) I did ask but at the time it wasn’t possible!

Loved that the invites asked for dietary requirements, menu details, seating plans & obviously the guest list so you could see who was attending.

Support were quick to respond and helpful but needed a lot of support to deal with bugs. Difficult to setup site, has bugs with how the website configuration works meaning you can't reorder sections. Guest management was a pain as the downloads for different spreadsheets are hidden in different areas. In general the guest management feels like it doesn't integrate well at all. Many guests were able to rsvp without answering mandatory multiple choice questions, e.g. for meal choice. We paid the extra £50 to get the premium features which were mostly useless.

Used this for our wedding website and it was perfect.
So many options around design and layout to make it match your colours / themes.
We could fit all the information we needed on it and then shared it with our guests who all said what a great idea it was to have a website.

I chose the Getting Married site to host our wedding website after finding it on Google. It looked to be easier to navigate and had far more design options than suited my wedding style than the other wedding websites. I loved that I could easily personalise our site with information about our wedding including photos and recommendations for the area in Italy we were getting married in. I had so many compliments from our guests about our website and how great it was. I would 100% recommend Getting Married to any couple about to tie the knot 😊

Simple to use, a great tool to give relevant information to guests, clear instructions on how to use and we could communicate with our guests and vice versa. We particularly liked that guests could make their meal choices on the website and it was easy to filter the information so we could advise the venue and it made sorting the table plan a doddle. Definitely would recommend.

The app took all the hassle out of paper invites and was super easy to use. Guests needed to ask us minimal questions about the day and it took away alot of stress of planning.

Really not a good website for this. We got the paid version and having massive regrets! Not intuitive at all and not very customisable. About the standard of a 21 year old making a website using Wordpress 10 years ago.

We tried it, wanted to like it as the front page is very pretty and it looked like what we wanted and is British like us. But it was just too convoluted to use, the designs aren’t nice and the tools are clunky. We went with a different site in the end to build our wedding website. I’d love if this site was a bit more advanced.

Its so hard to use, RSVPs DO NOT WORK!!!!!!! Honestly such a waste of money, save yourself the stress and DONT BOTHER! No user guides other than 2 second clips with no descriptions on how to use, this website is more stressful than planning a whole wedding, wish I never bought it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great web facility. I am no IT whizz but I found it really easy to set up use. We included all our information, did our save the dates, invites and general messaging. The Getting Married team were also super helpful when I couldn’t download something and they did it for me.
Would very much recommend

The getting married website allowed us to keep up to date on the guests, send them messages when needed and just made our planning lives so much easier. Whilst we maybe didn’t use the website to its full potential, the planning era of our wedding wouldn’t have been as easy with it! I would highly recommend any couple getting married to use this service!

For well over 2 years I used this company to create our wedding website. I had looked around to find a uk based company offering this service, but for most it seemed they were based in the US. Finally I came across this company. From conception to the actual big day, we found this site invaluable and a must have. From simple tasks such as RSVP's to providing documented information about guests to our venue such as their menu choices and dietary requirements, this site allowed us to do it all with ease. Furthermore, having the added bonus of the linked company 'Dotty about Paper', which allowed us to match our stationery with our website to create the perfect match with colour and imagery, made it a great addition. Another great feature baked in to the site is the ability to contact all or selected guests using the guest contact function, this ranged from emailing save the dates, invitations and thank you's, all with the same styling as the website for that added touch.

On the limited number of times we needed assistance, the team at Getting Married were happy to help and solved any problems we had.

Overall, we have been very happy with Getting Married and would highly recommend to any couple looking to create their own wedding website.

It was free, easy to use and worked well. It's not very flexible and restricts you to the set categories. Our guests loved it, but there are a few things that could’ve been easier, like the gift page or donation option. Perhaps not as user friendly for individuals that aren’t into their tech. In the end, it did the job.
