Mixed Experience
I’ve had a mixed experience so far. Setup was easy enough and I like the integration with apple HomeKit. However, I received a defective sensor with my original order and it was kind of annoying to troubleshoot and they wouldn’t expedite the replacement so I waited over a week for it to arrive. It was annoying to have one of my entry points unprotected during this time.
Also, the adhesive velcro that comes on the mini door and window sensors is terrible. I’ve had half of them fall down because the adhesive separated from the velcro. The falling sensors have set off the door/window chime unexpectedly several times which is startling thinking someone is entering the house but it’s just the sensor falling down. Luckily it didn’t happen when we weren’t home setting off the alarm and now I’ve used a separate adhesive to reattach them all.
Other than these annoying experiences, the product seems fine. I can’t say I’m blown away but it’s fine for now until I find something that seems better for us.

Many tech issues that are still ongoing. Tech support is not very responsive or knowledgeable so contacting support for a solution is a very painful process.

Purchased an Abode Cam 2. Had it outside under cover, lasted 6 months and stopped working. Do not use this camera outside.
Key fobs are not reliable
Key fobs are not reliable. They constantly loose communications and have to be reenrolled.

3) Automatic updates always lead to new issues as your programmers do not know what they are doing and their changes affect upstream and downstream functions.
4) Even with all the same Cam2’s with the same firmware & software, the overlays on the video ate different.
5) if this lack of attention and quality doesn’t improve and elevate to align to your competitors, then when I find a better package deal with your competitors, I will dump Adobe in the trash and buy new.
That is how dissatisfied I am with your Support Service and Product Inconsistencies and Issues
Performance
The performance is not good, a bit hit and miss. Wifi tends not to work, and bell press is slow to send message to mobile app. Need to pay fee to secure videos. Have missed numerous visitors. We do have slow broadband and that maybe an issue.
Very easy to set up
Very easy to set up. Activates and deactivates quickly. Lost internet and was unable to deactivate, not sure if there is a work around for that.

The abode system fits my needs very well. All the various device options work for me. In addition, there have been very few outages that I can attribute to the Abode system. In addition, the support has been very good and responsive. The only thing that I would like to see is possibly some additional device options for smoke and water detection and also the sliding door device battery runs out rather quickly and requires additional expense to purchase another.

Equipment is pretty cheap and easy to set up. Good for new home owners to get on their feet. But camera quality is bad, and only can have a max or 30 second clip. The detections on camera can be very inconsistent. Iota hub cam is horrible. Door/window sensors are nice though. Hopefully they can make some battery cameras with way better cameras quality

Bummed about Nest Secure? Just get Abode!
If you want a company who takes privacy seriously, has a fantastic and easy to use app and gives you the ability to add pretty much any big smart home product you can think of, including full integration of NEST products (which is back after it got canned when Google bought NEST) and you can also pull abode devices into the Home app on iOS (I think they are the only ones who do that? Not 100% sure but pretty sure) The new doorbell cam is an awesome addition and even if you are unsure, you can just start with the doorbell cam without a whole security system, it connects to Wifi. With Nest abandoning their security system stuff and the cheapest monitoring plans I've seen, Abode is a no brainer.

Setup was easy, integration with HomeKit was simple and system works well. Customer service was responsive as and when needed.

Poor customer service and a lack of direct contact for customers
I was very disappointed that the order I received initially was shorted and not complete. I had even paid for extra for express shipping as I needed to set the system up quickly as we were leaving town. Abode failed to provide my complete order as requested and then I could not reach any representative from Abode to correct this situation. I was force to contact another company, who express shipped their products to me that day. Then to add insult to injury, Abode charged me shipping to return the incomplete order items. I found this totally unprofessional and poor customer service. I cannot in good conscience recommend Abode to anyone given this experience.
I was forced to buy a new gateway…
I was forced to buy a new gateway because they said my original one was obsolete . After that I had to spend a week of wasted days trying to get my devices to pair . Then another gateway was shipped which worked for a week but still did not pair with one of my cams . Then the new gateway dropped a bunch of my devices . This has been fixed with an update but overall given the amount of time I had to spend solving Abode problems I can not recommend . I deserve a paycheck from Abode after all the wasted hours I spent trying to get this stuff working . The original system I bought was up and running in 45 minutes .
