Big Birthday Trip to Budapest, Vienna and Prague
We did the Budapest, Vienna, Prague package for our entire family - 6 adults and an almost 1 year-old.
The flights were fine and the hotels improved with each city. Would have appreciated our room locations being closer together and having a room not right over the entrance in Vienna, where many smokers hung out. We had to keep the window open as it was hot and the air-conditioners were not set to work yet.
The worst part of the trip was the train transportation - not the actual rides - we love traveling by train - however, all the tickets were in German (Google translate helped) and there were no porters or train staff at the train cars. It turned into a stressful and hectic guessing game and even several very kind locals were as confused as we were - which train? which track? which seat? as we paid for reserved seats. On one trip four of us and the baby were in a cabin car and the other two adults were in a totally different car and the seats weren’t even together. This aspect of the trip really could use improvement.
Overall (and why 4 stars) was the joy of exploring “new to us” cities together as a family and tours we booked on our own at each location. The beauty and history and people of each city were wonderful as well.

Greece island hopping
I loved this Greece island-hopping package. Everything was seamlessly organized—flights, hotels, transfers, and ferries were all taken care of, which made the trip completely stress-free. The pickups were consistently punctual, often arriving at least five minutes early. Communication throughout the trip was clear and reliable, and even the local transfer flight check-in was handled smoothly. All the hotels were of at least four-star quality, making the entire experience comfortable and enjoyable.

Our first experience with Great Value…
Our first experience with Great Value Vacations and we received timely emails, and travel reservations. We were able to find our Delta reservation on the app and the vouchers were readily accepted by the hotel.
The hotel was undergoing renovations and housekeeping was rather limited, but overall the property was nice.

Amazing vacation
Overall, our experience was phenomenal. All of the representatives from Great Value were amazing. I will start with a few minor negatives. Out first hotel stay in Athens was at the Polis Grand hotel. The rooms were ok but the staff were not very accommodating. We felt more like a nuisance to them. Our hotel in Crete-Olmipic Hotel Heraklion was the absolute worst!!! The showers didn’t drain, and the actual nozzle didn’t stay on the wall. The night we were there, there was a group of kids that ran the hall all night pounding on doors and were so loud. This continued throughout the night even at 7 am when we finally checked out. Contacting the front desk did nothing to help. I would highly recommend Great Value to partner with a different hotel. On the positive side-Mykonos Beach hotel was great. The staff were very nice. The location was phenomenal with it being located just outside of Mykonos town and we had a beach directly across from it. We were within walking distance to all of the amazing sights without the noise when it was time for a rest. The cherry on top. The Star Hotel in Santorini. There are not enough good things to say about this place. The hotel is family run by Angelo and his son Lucas. They went above and beyond to ensure our time with them was amazing. if I could give them 10 stars I would. We ended our trip at a five star hotel back in Athens-Divani Palace Acropolis. Beautiful hotel. Great way to end the trip. Overall this trip was amazing with a few hiccups along the way. Highly recommend Great Value for your booking. Everything was handled professionally and courteously. It made transfers and check-ins completely stress free.

Beautiful Countries
We’re very happy with this trip and the ease of having all the accommodations and travel, even via train, completed for us. Every place we stayed was wonderful. The only thing I would recommend is changing the hotel location in Vienna. The hotel where we stayed was quite a distance from the town center. The average cost of getting an Uber or Bolt was 25-30 Euro each direction which was an unfortunate situation.
