I have progressed so much in such a little bit of time. I had taken lessons on and off throughout my life and I had never progressed as much as I have here. If you put in the work there is no way you wont take what you are looking for in your guitar learning from GMM. I cant say enough positive things about them. I cant wait to see what learning is ahead at GMM as well. Well worth it to anyone who is enthusiastic about learning the guitar. I even bought a subscription for my mother.

I have been with this company for several years now. It's way cheaper then in person lessons, and they make it very easy to learn guitar. If you want to learn how to play lead, and music theory, they help you to learn very quickly.

Not in a boring way, either. They help you out so much that they do everything but come to your house and play it for you! Highly recommend.

All of the instructors are highly skilled, and professional. You will never run out of learning material, as they always offer fresh new classes, on various techniques. Only wish they had this when I was younger.

The lesson and community are great. I have only been playing since 2020 and have learn so much and every time I have repeated a lesson I feel like I take a little more way too. But it what you put in is will help with what you get out of the lesson too.

It's a great community—it's fun to be part of it, and you can learn a lot and improve your skills.

I found Guitar Mastery Method (GMM) in 2021, at the height of Covid. I'd retired recently and had plenty of time (with Covid lockdown happening too) and found GMM on Facebook. Their free lesson by Eddie Haddad was friendly and uncomplicated. Right away I learned some stuff about soloing that I didn't know (I think it was an introduction to the Fretboard Conveyor Belt concept). Anyway, that led me to sign up for Unlock the Fretboard and the Guitar Pattern Recognition system and book. That course, and others that followed, gave me some purpose during Covid lockdown and changed my musical life ever since. I've taken that class as it has iterated 3 times and learn new stuff every time. I'm in it now, actually.
Charlie Wallace and his team of instructors (Eddie, Mike, and Lexi) are the best I've come across online or anywhere else. GMM has grown a lot since I found them, but the lessons get better, the content has expanded greatly, and the online platform is really good. The investment in cutting edge technology to support proper online instruction is very evident and keeps improving.
But most importantly...the GMM team cares about their subscribers. Customer support is great, the instructors comment regularly on our posted homework to a private Facebook group, and they keep us challenged, motivated, and growing as guitarists and musicians.
Lastly, I've expanded my skills and knowledge to the point of being able to teach Intro through Intermediate Guitar via a non-profit Guitars for Vets program (in partnership with Veterans' Affairs) and teach guitar as a volunteer at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
I love GMM and plan to stick with them for as long as possible...there's still so much more to learn and practice. The community they've built on Facebook is very active, kind, and supportive. It's a fantastic value for the money and I'm not going anywhere else. Thank you GMM family!

This is the best place to learn guitar in the whole world! period! It not only is a wonderfully structured program, this helped me understand advanced concepts like chord construction, modes, pentatonic scales, diatonic scales, changing keys, various guitar techniques, speed and accuracy exercise, learning to solo, and much much more in an easy digestible manner! The training instructors are experts and are very friendly, helpful and can explain complex concepts in an easy structured manner! What concepts many would have taken years to understand if at all GmM can explain them in a few weeks/hours! This is a tremendous value for money and I am a VIP member for life!!

These guys are legit. They are super supportive and deliver live content every week.
They have outstanding graphics to make learning the fretboard so much easier than I thought possible.
I have learned so much in their VIP platform which is a bargain. It cost less than 2 lessons did from my previous guitar instructor (for an entire year).
Charlie is a great motivator as are his other associates and you can tell how much passion they have for teaching guiter.
This is a fantastic program. I'm going on my second year with them and will continue learning from them for the forseeable future.

I learned some basic open and barre chords some 50 years ago, but then stopped playing after getting married and starting a family. I picked up guitar again about 15 years ago, taking in-person lessons for a couple years, then just dabbling around with backing tracks and a plethora of different YouTube videos and free lessons. I was disappointed with my lack of improvement, so I decided to and joined Guitar Mastery Method VIP club at the end of October 2025 (6 months ago). When I started, I knew I had developed some bad fretting and picking habits, and my jamming was limited to the basic pentatonic first pattern (aka G shape) plus a few licks and riffs I had picked up from YouTube. Six months later, my fretting and picking is more accurate and faster, and I am comfortable knowing the pentatonic and diatonic scales up and down the fretboard, thanks to the GMM methods and their team of instructors. All 4 of them are excellent guitarists and obviously passionate about teaching others. More importantly, they have developed a system that is very effective at pulling together all the bits and pieces I had learned, removing confusion, and helping me understand it all from an integrated perspective. Each step builds on the previous ones, and it has increased my confidence and skill level tremendously. I highly recommend the Guitar Mastery Method - it has changed my life.

Guitar Mastery Method instruction for playing the guitar is all encompassing from how to hold the guitar and pick to advanced fretboard mastery! I picked up the guitar in retirement after last playing while in High school with minimal lessons. Now I can find notes, play pentatonic patterns, learn rifts and create my own solos only after 1 year joining GMM VIP! According to seasoned players we have learned more in this short period than they have on 30 years! I have actually learned via the learning process presented by founder Charlie Wallace without getting bored!! I found it astonishing how much and how quickly you learn the skills. I have done subscriptions for learning guitar in the past, but nothing compares to Guitar Mastery Method! Without a doubt, it's been the best decision to help my guitar playing. Nobody can magically make you better overnight, but with the structured approach, I finally have an effective practice plan and can feel myself advancing. I have a ways to go on my physical skills (looking forward to doing Fastlane 66), but have learned so much from the M1, Unlock the Fretboard, and M2, Advanced Fretboard Mastery, courses! I look forward to the live sessions each Sunday and really enjoy the Facebook community. I’ve wanted to learn guitar for decades. I tried other online sites and in-person instructors but gave up every time, feeling like I had made no progress. The guitar was still a mystery. Then I came across GMM almost by accident so I thought I would give it one more try. Wow! I’ve learned and progressed more in eight months than I thought possible. Charlie Wallace, GMM founder, is a life saver. About eight years ago I decided to go back and fulfill my dream of playing lead guitar. Guitar Mastery Method uses a wide variety of techniques to teach. I have played guitar as a,self taught guitarist and wish I would have had these lessons when I first begin playing. I have learned a lot about technique and how things on the fret board are interrelated and I have increased in skill, playing and fret board knowledge while taking these lessons. The do a very good job of making the lesson so every level of guitarist can learn. Some lessons I already know but going back the basics is never a waste of time. Highly recommend!

After originally signing up for the 2 week free VIP membership, I have now been a member for 11 months. Charlie, Mike, Eddie, Lexi and their team know what to teach you and how to do it with the most impact. Their lessons have taught me so much I’m still trying to wrap my head around all of it. From the CAGED system, to the modes, to how chords are constructed. I now feel I “know” the system. It’s still going to take regular practice to implement it all, but I’m shocked at how much I’ve learned, particularly in the last 3 months. I’ll be a GMM member for life. Really knowledgable and engaging instructors who I believe sincerely want to improve members' guitar playing. They struggled initially with Zoom meetings but now have really nailed it, the more conventional webinars have always been professional and packed with real insight and information. The enthusiasm of the instructors is infectios.

I am getting older. I saw an article that said that you can fix and protect your brain by doing something different with your mind, and it suggested learning to play an instrument. My family took it to heart and got me a guitar for Father's Day. I got nowhere - even after several books, loads of YouTube, and subscriptions. I am handicapped, I have arthritis, and beyond those and other issues making it painful, I was just not "getting it". Then I found Charlie, Eddie, Mike, and Lexi at GMM. In a single lesson with about 700 other folks, I knew things had changed. Somehow, Charlie made it personal, just for me. I did the Fastlane 66-day challenge, which started with how to sit, how to hold a pick and the explanation that even if you had been playing for 50 years (or 6 months, like me), perhaps you needed to go back to the basics. 66 days later, I was making music for me. Not the stage, not for friends, but I was finally enjoying the sounds that I was making. I was seeing others having epiphany moments after decades of trying. Mostly, I realized that I can do this, just like Charlie said. I am a member for life.

If you are thinking about doing this, stop thinking. Just do it. If I can do it, you can. I am nothing special and I had the cards stacked against me. I just needed to see the path and stop wandering. They will bring the light.
