Do not place an order with this retailer!!! The dress I bought was horrible in every way. When I tried to return it, they tried repeatedly to change my mind, which was completely weird. I ultimately agreed to return the dress for a reduced price because returning it was more expensive. Complete scam!!! Do NOT buy from this company.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! THEY ARE SCAMMERS. The shoes I ordered arrived damaged, and were of much lesser quality than the images and description provided by the sales listing. When I contacted Harper & Lane to request a refund, Luna actively discouraged me from pursuing one. I was offered a 10% discount on a re-order if I paid shipping (which exceeded the discount). After insisting on a refund, I was provided an address in China to return. After spending an amount equal to half my initial purchase price to ship, the package sat in Chinese customs for over 6 months. It arrived in my mailbox today, stamped “refused”. Many of their items can be purchased from ebay or Amazon for a fraction of the price. They’re still lesser quality item from China, but at least you’re not paying 3x the price to get screwed over.
Yet another embarrassed customer who did not read the reviews before purchasing.
As with all the other reviewers, my comments are negative. I didn’t see any positive comments.
I bought a long sleeved top and ordered XL to make sure there was plenty of room. It wasn’t shoddily made but the material was cheap. All wouldn’t be so bad if I could wear it but no such luck. I have a normal- sized head but could barely get it through the opening. Needless to say, there was no way it was going to fit. I would say the sizing is more like an Australian medium size. This seems to be typical of Chinese-made garments. I’ve sent an email to the customer service but having now read the reviews, I will cut my loss and not pursue further. This is an age-old scam and a good way for unscrupulous companies to make money. Never again!
Asking for more information in order to verify my review. So here it is:
I got in touch with the company and they did reply. It was the standard blurb, apologising that the garment didn’t live up to expectations. They suggested that I return it, at my own expense, and order maybe a few sizes larger than is my gazetted size. This isn’t good enough. How are you supposed to know to do this. After reading the numerous other negative reviews, and if the garment was actually nice, I would maybe pursue. However it was cheap and nasty, and I know I wouldn’t want to wear it, even if it did fit.

I ordered 3 pair of shoes from Harper and Lane in July 2025. I followed their instructions for sizing. The shoes did not fit and the quality was extremely poor. They asked that I send them pictures of their shoe size compared with a USA shoe that is the same size. After doing all these, they wanted me to keep the shoes and they would refund me 20% of my purchase. I said no. They went to 50% of my purchase. I said no that I wanted a full refund. They reluctantly gave me their warehouse address in CHINA. It cost me more to ship the shoes than my refund but I sent all 3 pairs of shoes. I eventually got my refund on my credit card in November 2025.
Today I received all 3 pairs of shoes in the mail from Harper and Lane from CHINA.
I don't understand why they shipped me back the shoes I cannot wear.
I wasn't going to write the review since I did get a refund. But this is ridiculous.
I have not seen any new charges to my credit card but I will be checking for them.

I wish I would've read the reviews before purchasing. That would have saved me a lot of time and money. Disputed w/my bank and they had a lengthy explanation, so my bank charged me. 32 emails back and forth with H&L, to no avail. They won't honor their promised of 50% refund. They say the bank won't release the funds. Not true. Horrible quality item, incorrect sizing, cheaply made. Terrible experience! Don't buy from these scammers!

Stay away! They don’t even deserve a one star. I was a fool to purchase 4 dresses from this company only to find out what others have also complained about: very poor quality materials, and finishing is rough with the seams only being finished with a serger instead of a rolled hem. The garments also did not fit properly. The bust and collar were off center and the sleeves were too tight. Just an awful experience. When I complained they tried to give me a 25% off to keep them, then 50% off and wouldn’t give me a return address. I finally decided to file a claim with my credit card and they issued a full refund. I was happy to return this nonsense. Please save yourself the headaches and shop elsewhere.
I really wanted to love the blouse I ordered. When I received the package the blouse was so creased that I decided to wash it to see if that would help. It did not. I will say the color and sheen of this "satin" blouse is really pretty but the cut and quality are not at all what I expected for the cost. The way it hangs looks cheap and while I might wear it under a jacket I don't feel comfortable wearing it as a blouse only as the draped neckline hangs oddly.

I'm only leaving 1 star because I had to. The blouse I received was cheap fabric and shoddily made. I ended up accepting a 50% discount and keeping it (maybe some high school costume department can use it) since getting a full discount seemed impossible.

After placing order through their website, I rec'd no confirmation, order number, tracking number, etc. Order arrived but items were not sized properly and fabrics were not as advertised. No invoice included so still no order number, tracking number and one or both are required to initiate a return. Before ordering I always make sure that I understand the return policy which is stated to be 30 days. I sent a message requesting their assistance to process a RETURN, using their contact form and this is just part of the email response they sent:
"To help us resolve this promptly, could you please confirm if the items you received were the correct sizes you originally ordered? Additionally, if you had a chance to refer to the size chart during purchase, that information would be helpful for us.
To better understand the sizing issue and assist with our internal investigation and product quality checks, we kindly ask you to provide the following photos:
Place the garment on a flat surface, such as the floor or a bed
Ensure the item is laid out naturally, without folds or wrinkles
Place a measuring tape along the area with the size discrepancy (for example: bust, length, or sleeve)
Make sure the entire garment is clearly visible in one single photo
These photos will help us accurately assess the sizing issue and determine the best solution for you. Once we receive them, we can quickly work on a suitable resolution, whether that’s a replacement, an exchange, or another option that works best for you.

The picture of the cotton tunic tee was gorgeous and the description promised it was 100% cotton. I ordered and received it, but the tunic, though it had 100% cotton on the string-attached tag, was clearly not 100% cotton. There were no sewn-in seam content labels, nor was there a stamped content below the back neckline. I emailed the company requesting return authorization, and was asked for pictures and more information. Sent a picture (this made no sense to me). Luna emailed back that they had investigated, and the tunic was, in fact, 100% cotton. It wasn’t, and I knew it (and so did they), but I conducted two different cotton tests, anyway. Beyond debatable. I was tired by that point and accepted a %20 refund. Their clothing looks lovely on the site, but this company flat-out lies. Having, too lately, looked at other reviews, I realize that many customers believe Harper and Lane is fraudulent. Wish I’d checked before walking stupidly into this one.

Misleading return process and endless hoops
I had a very disappointing experience with Harper & Lane. The dress I received did not match expectations and fit poorly, so I requested a return.
Instead of providing straightforward return instructions, customer service made the process unnecessarily difficult by repeatedly asking for additional photos and detailed measuring tape measurements, even after I had already provided what they requested.
This feels like a tactic to delay or discourage returns rather than a legitimate customer service process.
If you order from this company, be aware that returning an item will be difficult and time-consuming. I would not purchase from them again.

Scammed by this company. Shoes orders were not even remotely what was delivered and they would not provide return information after 10 emails providing all their required bogus information. This is why people shop on Amazon. Do not buy from this company!

My husband ordered 2 blouses in late November for my Christmas presents. The fabrics were beautiful but the design was atrocious, unwearable, and not at all as shown on their website. Since I didn't open the packages until 12/25, it was past the 30 day return cutoff date. They absolutely refused to accept the returns... we threw the blouses in the trash. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAN OUTFIT!! THEY ARE NOW "MOVING THEIR WAREHOUSE, AND UNABLE TO DELIVER UNTIL MARCH."

Hello: I ordered a red boho handbag that was advertised as "Quality" and it was far from it. First, the delivery was met with lengthy delays. Once received, the handbag was Paper thinnnn! I am so furious! I have expressed my written dissatisfaction and requested a refund. However, the ling they provided Failed, when I uploaded photos of their measely product. As well, they do not display a customer service phone number.
