Me and my partner went to Harvey Nicols in Edinburgh to celebrate my birthday with a lovely coctail. The place was recommended to visit while we were in Edinburgh, so we tried it and had a bad experience. Regardless Covid or no, when there is a time limit on opening times and serving times the servers should have paid more attention to attend the tables who have not been served instead to interact with those who had a full glass of drink in front of them. We waited more than 10 minutes to get served, finally we got our drink after some time. It was a nice sunny day and our table was next to the window, would have been a lovely experience, if the service wasn't that bad. We tried to get attention again to order one more drink before the place closing, but waited for quite a lot to get told we cannot order anymore and our bill was just tossed on our table. Absolutely disgrace of a service at this place.
It left a bad memories on my birthday. Very disappointed.

Bought a bag on the 1st Jan for my daughters birthday on the 3rd Jan, using express next day delivery. When I hadn't had a despatched email on the 2nd, I called them up and was told that they would chase it up, which they did and the bag was delivered on the morning of my daughters birthday. Great service!

Failed to deliver presents ordered on 12/12/20 in time for Xmas.

Very disappointed and I would have expected better from Harvey Nichols.

There is a reason Amazon is doing so well. Other retailers are not reliable.

UPDATE: gifts arrived after Xmas. Products are great, but shipping company (DPD) was poor. I'm surprised premium brand Harvey Nichols chose to use a bargain basement shipping company. Updated from 1 to 2 stars because of high product quality.

Ordered a Christmas gift for someone, that unfortunately turned up with the security tag still attached! Contacted them a couple of days ago, but still haven't received a response. I never have this slow response with other companies selling premium goods, so I'd recommend using Harrods or other similar companies instead if you can

Dude. HarveyNichols, answer my EMAILS refund my money, pay attention to th customer service email box, not this site, and it won't matter what's on this site because it will be positive. But you ignore emails and just pay attention to this site and make lies while doing nothing for your customers and no customer service.

Customer service doesn't even exist. They took money. Used DHL for a signature confirmed delivery-- or so it was suppoosed to be. DHL lost package, no signature, notified HarveyNichols. They have refused refund for weeks. I filled out their forms they requested, I even contacted DHL myself who replied and confirmed that packages were misdelivered and not retrievable-- so refund, right? No! Weeks go by, they ignore emails, have stolen money. Will be issuing a chargeback with my credit card company. Have filled a federal complaint via the FTC against them, I suggest you do the same!

Ordered Xmas food hampers at the beginning of November and they included out of date items in both hampers. I only checked before giving them as presents a week before Xmas - so very disappointed as you would expect.

I ordered a bag yesterday from the website order no 351916031 did next day delivery as I need ot for a present today.I got an email from HN to say order in its way , which clearly its not as dpd are saying they have only received a despatch note no goods , trying to get through to HN is a nightmare you cant speak to anyone as they say they are too busy , but how comes other department stores and espically Harrods manage it,so very frustrating and been told now by dpd I wont get it today , so thanks HN you should not be offering next day when you cant , I now do not have a present to give for a special birthday, feel totally let down by you so where are my goods???? I sent an email earlier please respond ASAP.

Enjoyed the experience lovely members of staff they took care of me and my needs very very well ;) although the trouser department was a bit dead. X

I contacted Harvey Nichols Gucci department looking for tights. They were initially out of stock but the sales girl Melissa from Gucci spent time looking at other Gucci stores for me. A few weeks later she contacted me as I had left my contact details to inform me that they were now back in stock at Harvey Nichols!!! Lovely young lady who was very helpful and remembered to let me know. Thanks Melissa I will be purchasing my tights now .

I love shopping in the Leeds store. The staff are always friendly, helpful and courteous. I love shopping as it is but the staff are the icing on the cake for me, nothing is ever too much trouble.

Extremely disappointing service. I purchased a pack of 3 boxer briefs as a gift. When the recipient removed the final pair from the box he found a hole in the waistband. I wrote to customer services who asked me to return all 3 pairs (including those worn) in the packaging with the completed returns form. Upon explaining that the packaging and returns form had been discarded by the recipient customer services informed me they would not be able to issue a replacement. Instead, they could give me a 20% refund. Why 20%? There were 3 pairs in the pack and they were a gift, the entire experience had been ruined. This isn't the kind of service I expected from Harvey Nichols. I declined their offer and will take my online gift purchasing elsewhere in future.

Excellent shopping experience from start to finish. Very efficient online order process, free next day delivery in quality packaging and gift box. Order needed to be returned for an alternative size, original parcel was collected the next day by DPD who also brought the re-ordered item. Money quickly refunded. Excellent communication bearing in mind current situation. Would not hesitate to re-order and recommend

My item was marked as delivered by Royal Mail, but when i arrived home there was nothing outside my door or handed to a neighbour. Obviously i informed Harvey Nichols customer services and they assured me they would look into it and get back to me. Just over a month later I asked for an update, only to be told they are satisfied it has been delivered, even thought there is no proof, only a royal mail generic signature. Continually fobbed off and told to bring it up with royal mail myself...even though the link they forward me clearly states the sender must make the enquiries. Will not be using them again or visiting the store.

Very happy with my recent Harvey Nichols customer service experience. My first time ordering and purchasing online was quick and easy. DPD was the choice of carrier for delivering my item. DPD delivered to a different person at a different address! While the service from DPD was absolutely terrible, I was incredibly fortunate that the lady who my parcel was delivered to bought it round to me that evening. In the process of not knowing where my package was or if DPD would be able to retrieve it, I had been in a panic contacting both DPD and Harvey Nichols. Harvey Nichols customer care team were fantastic. They immediately got in touch with DPD and asked them to raise an investigation and said they would support me to ensure that the outcome was positive for me. Very impressed with Harvey Nichols, but would strongly urge them to reconsider their choice of delivery partner - especially for very expensive goods such as mine was (£600+ purchase). Lucky to have gotten my package (no thanks to DPD) and happy with Harvey Nichols service.
