Excellent from start to finish. Not easy thinking about this time of 'life' but all explained plainly and with patience by Anne and our final visit to sign etc was with Claire, so friendly and unstarchy - would definitely recommend for this necessary task.

What an experience we had... BUT Amit Shalom and her team suppoted us through breakdown of sale of 2 houses and loss and back to buying... and we felt supposed and looked after in a way that never expected in the BEST WAY POSSIBLE!!!

As a first time buyer I had a terrible experience.

Someone used HCB solihull twice and recommended it, as they were good for conveyencing. Unfortunately I had bad luck as was appointed Taranjeet Sohal.

She was extremely rude on her emails, unhelpful, asked me to send confidential documents on email rather than on the app like all the other documents. She may be stressed and have too much workload.

If I had queries she'd redirect me to the estate agent. I'd completed their form of items to check and she was not aware from the replies in her email.

I had queries and asked for a phone call to get clarity. I didn't have any verbal communication from the start with the appointed solcitor. I ended up leaving and going to another company entirely who were professional and helpful. HCB caused even more confusion of what should be happening as a first time buyer, when I moved to a different company, I had the compete opposite experience.

I put a complaint in and whoever dealt with it was professional however the trust was already gone with HCB Solihull.

Raja has been fab from start to finish. His advice always had my interests at the centre and his communication has been brilliant throughout. Highly recommend.

We recently instructed HCB Solicitors for our son’s SEND Tribunal appeal and were extremely impressed with the service provided by Ed Duff and Grace Stork. Due to an unexpected issue with our previous legal representatives at another firm, Ed took over our case at very short notice. Despite the limited time, he quickly understood the complexities of the appeal and our son’s needs, and immediately took control with confidence and clarity.

At the hearing, Ed’s advocacy was outstanding. He dealt with the Local Authority’s conduct calmly and professionally, challenged their evidence effectively, and presented our case in a structured, strategic and highly persuasive way. It was clear he had taken the time to understand our son as an individual, not just a set of documents, and this made a real difference to the outcome.

Grace’s support throughout was equally excellent. She kept everything organised, communicated clearly, and ensured the process ran smoothly during what was a very stressful period for us.

Adam Hampton at the Bedford Office, was engaged by another Executor (there were 3 of us Executors, me and 2 members of the same family, to give this context).

I was involved in the administration of my late Godmother's significant estate and, unfortunately, my experience with this firm was characterised by poor communication, a lack of transparency and repeated failures to address legitimate concerns.

Despite several written and verbal requests, I never received confirmation regarding potential conflicts of interest. And concerns relating to estate funds being held in an Executor's personal account were not satisfactorily addressed.

As a Trustee and beneficiary, I was excluded from some correspondence between Executors relating to estate matters, which made it difficult to understand decisions being made on behalf of the estate.

When suspected fraudulent activity on my Godmother's bank account came to light after her death, I received no practical support in dealing with financial institutions and the police. This added unnecessary complications at an already difficult time.

Important documents often had to be requested repeatedly before they were provided. Communication with beneficiaries was similarly disappointing. More than a year after the death, I suggested a simple update to the 20-plus beneficiaries outlining progress and next steps. Even this required further chasing before any action was taken.

Timescales were another source of frustration. We were advised that the matter could be concluded within four to six weeks, yet four months later I was still seeking updates and the estate remained unresolved.

I was also surprised to discover, more than a year into the process, that I had apparently been designated as the "lead" Trustee without my knowledge or consent. This resulted in responsibilities and correspondence relating to the estate being directed to me, despite no prior discussion or agreement. My requests for clarification on how and when this decision had been made were never fully answered.

I appreciate that estate administration can be complex, particularly where multiple Executors and beneficiaries are involved. However, clear communication, transparency and responsiveness are fundamental professional standards. In my experience, these standards were not consistently met.

We sold a house using Jayne, one of HCB's conveyancers in Leicester.

Throughout, she replied promptly, dealt with my concerns and worries with a phone call and managed our case on a one to one basis unlike a lot of the conveyancing supermarket firms where you speak to different people all the time.

The only problem was that our buyer was using one of said supermarket conveyancers. Problems occurred when things got missed and we suffered a 3 week delay due to an oversight on their part.

At one point, we had a big decision to make as to whether to remarket or stay with our buyer and Jayne spoke with me for 20 minutes used her experience to give me some important context and make a fully informed choice.

I've had the bill through today and it looks incredible value. I think I had one to one oversight of the process from Jayne for the same price as people are paying the conveyancing supermarkets to have ten people look at their file.
