Straight forward explanation of the process how Helpbox can make my accounting less stressful. I have embarked on a small business and work from home. Helpbox were able to register my business from their offices. I spoke with Ash and Coral both answered mt many questions and I listen to me. Great service highly recommended . I have already recommended them to a friend.

I cannot say enough good things about the team at Helpbox. With their help I have been able to progress both of my businesses and keep compliant with everything. Nothing is ever to much trouble and no question to silly. A special mention to Nicola Van Hoogdalem as most of my questions go to her and she is always amazing at helping me out with them! I would happily recommend Helpbox to anyone.

After a very frustrating experience elsewhere, HelpboxUK took over my account and got me up and running in just under 3 weeks. In my experience, the difference was immediate.

Before that, Clever Accounts had 4 month almost, and only managed to register the company and get my VAT number in place. During the delay, I went 4 months without being paid, which had a serious impact on me socially, professionally, mentally and physically. Venturing out and starting up a new business, this is not the kind of stress and anxiety that is needed and could clearly be avoided.

Once HelpboxUK stepped in, Helen M. and the team quickly identified issues and filled gaps and they were proactive, responsive, and moved things forward properly. Communication was clear, actions were taken quickly, and I finally felt that someone was taking ownership of the situation. Instead of me emailing them chasing, they emailed me faster.

Signed up for a full year, paid upfront, and deeply regretted it almost immediately.

The onboarding was nonexistent. There was no structured process, no clear expectations set, and no real guidance on how to get started. I was essentially left to figure things out on my own after handing over a significant amount of money.

To make matters worse, on our very first call after signing, they asked me to leave a positive review. I had just signed up - I had no idea yet whether the service would be good. I refused, because that's not how reviews work. A positive review should reflect a positive experience, not be a favour you do on day one before anything has even happened. That request alone told me a lot about how they operate.

Things didn't improve. I raised complaints multiple times about the lack of work. Nothing changed. No meaningful output, no accountability, no follow-through.

I had a call with one of their accountants, and after I asked a question, he replied, asking if I had watched their YouTube videos and, if not, that I should, because they answer those questions there 🤔.

When I finally decided enough was enough and asked to cancel, they acted surprised - despite having a paper trail of my complaints from the very beginning.

They initially refused to refund the remaining months I had paid for in advance. It took me presenting my documented complaints for them to eventually agree to a refund.

Completely unprofessional from start to finish. I'm glad I got out and moved on. Save yourself the time and money.

Their director (Michelle) talks a good game on YouTube, but working with this company is a completely different experience.

I saw the Helpbox videos on Youtube and decided to reachout and contact them.
The process was made extremely easy by the whole team and they were all very friendly & professional. From initial contact right through to the experts.
I will continue to use them for accounting and am looking into using their other services.

honestly don’t know where to begin with how disappointing my experience has been with this accountant.

I first requested onboarding back in December, clearly explaining that the actual onboarding should begin in January as I had given notice to my previous accountant. Instead, nothing meaningful happened until the beginning of February — and even then, the only thing they seemed capable of doing was setting up a direct debit and taking their monthly fee.

Since then, they have continued to collect payments while delivering virtually no service whatsoever.

Communication has been an absolute nightmare. I have had to call over 20 times just to get through, often without success. Emails go unanswered, and there is no sense of urgency or professionalism.

To this day, I have still not received access to the bookkeeping app, which is a basic and essential part of the service I signed up for. No onboarding support, no setup, no guidance — nothing.

What I have received instead is stress, wasted time, and months of being completely ignored while they continue to charge me.

This level of service is unacceptable. I will now be proceeding with a small claims court action to recover my money and seek compensation for the months lost due to their inaction.

Avoid at all costs if you value your time, your business, and your peace of mind.

I recently moved my ltd company over to Helpbox. I liked the informative videos on YT and after that I spoke to them on to check out what they offered.

Although my previous accountant was very good I had to my cost cutting measures. I have so far received excellent service. Once things settle down after the transition I should make important savings whilst maintaining a professional level of service
