These guys are LIARS.

It's been seven and a half months since I bought the Henson AL13 with medium head (now hard to find on the site; looks like they may soon only offer the mild).

It was my first DE razor, and as I wrote back in September, I loved it! It was my only razor for four months.

In the past 3.5 months, I've bought six more DE razors - some with rather stellar reputations of their own. So where do I rank it now? It's still in my top three (exactly where I rank it fluctuates) and still gets regular use. I much prefer it to the well-known Merkur 34C, for example. (your mileage may vary)

Of all the razors I now own, I would still rank this one the easiest to learn on. The angle of the head makes it a breeze to use; even the medium head feels quite mild while being pretty efficient; it's almost impossible to cut yourself. And I get incredibly close BBS (baby butt smooth) shaves, almost every time (some brands of blades just aren't that great, even in this razor - though the supplied Astras are a good match).

The weight and handle length is closer to a cartridge razor than many DE razors. You can apply some pressure with little risk.

All told, a perfect razor for transitioning from cartridges - so they know their target market well.

When I first rated this razor, I gave it five stars. I still think it's a great razor. But I dropped one star because the price has risen about 50% since I bought mine - and so it isn't the value it once was.

The razors I rank above this one are more efficient (not everyone, specially beginners, will feel the same). The Titanium has a more aggressive head, but its price point is too high. But if Henson were to introduce a stainless steel version with that more aggressive head at a reasonable price point, lightning might strike twice! (hint! hint!) A boy can dream...

This is a very well designed razor. I have been using it for about 2 weeks now. I have had no issues with razor irritation or nicks. The blade is at a good cutting angle, and we'll protected. The handle is a little lighter than other safety razors I have used, but it does not present a problem. Great razor all around.

I received mine yesterday and switched from my Edwin Jagger this morning. The quality is superb. No jiggling parts and everything is seated tightly. The exposed edge is barely visible, so I thought it could be a problem getting a close shave. I was wrong.
My face is so smooth right now! I loved my Edwin Jagger, but this one is head and shoulders above it. I was able to shave the jawline without irritation or cuts and shaving under the nose was a breeze. We'll see how it works over the next few months, but the first impressions make me very hopeful this is a keeper.

I received mine in the mail today and the shave is amazing. Also you can feel the workmanship in the shaver with a light pickup and well manufactured parts. They would sell heaps of these in Australia if they distributed them through shaving shops and barbers in addition to online. Well done guys A grade

It’s crazy how a bit of good engineering can really change how nice it is to shave. Feels like hairs just pop out in 1 pass, super clean shave. Definitely a buy it for life kind of item

The service was as expected. The website is easy to navigate, easy to checkout. Shipping was almost on time (that's due to the courier though). If I'd have any constructive comments those would be for FedEx rather then Henson.

Best safety razor that I have ever used! Absolutely no nicks when shaving my beard or my head. This is a well engineered razor that I enjoy using!

I have never experienced a closer shave until I tried the Henson shaver. The product is beautifully made and machining precision is truly amazing. Great product and I will certainly recommend it to anyone.

Admit to being sceptical, so many click bate adds that look good. And admit to being scammed once since the pandemic started. Have to say I was very pleased after my first shave! Like wow! And now I probably will never, for real, have to buy another razor again. Well done Henson!

before Henson I was using Merkur Solingen safety razor with feather blades cobination.
Henson's angle and safer feature is better BUT, harder to rinse off the cut and foam as it has to be deassembled to 4 pieces. Compare with Henson, Merkur can only be deassembled into 3 pieces thanks to the centred screw inside the handle. By doing so you don't really have to completely disassemble all 3 pieces but loosen them enough for water to rinse through. For Henson, you have to completely disassemble them for a proper rinse.

This razor is really a reproduction of the kind of Gillette razors I started shaving with sixty years ago. Those blades were sharp, and while the shave wasn't nearly as good as what Gillette offers today, they were okay. The blades that come with this razor aren't very sharp, don't shave very well, and this purchase was essentially a waste of money.

The process of the order has been great and quick so far. We will see how product works shortly.

Henson Shaving has the best customer service I have ever experienced, I had some questions that were answered right away by the manager of the company Jonathan Bosman and had also issues that he resolved right away, the goal of this company is sincerely to make customers happy.
I bought one of their razors and let me tell you, I had the best shaving experience ever, easy, smooth and free of irritation or nicks the way they make their razors is incredible. The razors feel so good that you can't wait for your stubble to grow so you can shave again,they are so good that I bought a second one to have as a spare.
If you are coming from a cartridge razor, stop! Get one of these first before you buy anything else, trust me you'll know what I'm talking about, these razors are efficient and smooth, and if you ever have a problem with your razor don't hesitate to contact Jonathan he will answer your questions and will try to take care of your issues in the most caring manner.

Excellent website
Not that you have a lot of products, but your website is simple to navigate, easy to use, and responsive. The look is also very clean and pleasing to the eye.
My only caveat is that the titanium razor is out of stock. If it were available, I might have gone with that option.

Easy to order the product. Nice online store with a lot of very good products. Also a fast delivery even to destinations abroad.
Only one point - deliveries abroad will be additionally charged by import duty that is not included in your purchase order.

First shave was amazing. I have never had a shave that close. No irritation, no nicks. Very impressed with the look and feel of the razor. I will be recommending it. Shaving is going to be far more regular for me.
