I had a good experience with Hermes Clinic. From my pre operative consultations to my travel arrangements and getting my e-visa, I was guided every step of the way.

When I landed in Istanbul, I was greeted by a friendly driver, the hospital check in process was smooth and hassle free. The pre op tests were quick, thorough and clearly explained giving me confidence that everything was being done safely.

My surgeon was honest and clear with what to expect when I wake up which helped put me at ease. The nurses (sweethearts) were incredibly supportive during recovery encouraging us to walk and dancing with us to keep our spirits high.

A special thank you to Buse , she is exceptional! Her regular checking in and ongoing support after my operation has showed me how much the team cares.

18 months later, 60kg down, I can honestly say this is the best money I have ever spent. Highly recommend Hermes Clinic.

My latest visit to the Hermes team in Istanbul was excellent from the welcome through to the treatment and s as actual interpreter who could translate exactly and put me at ease , the care coordinator Anya has been very helpful and would recommend this team to anyone

My experience was very smooth from start to finish. From the moment I first started gathering information, Ruya, the consultant, made everything so easy by providing me with all the information I needed and answering all my questions.

When I arrived, I was picked up from the airport in a luxurious taxi, and everything was well organised. Even at the hospital, the whole process went smoothly, and Mel made everything so easy and stress-free.

I’m extremely happy with my experience and the care I received. I’m already planning to return next year for another procedure. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering treatment!

I went to this hospital fat, sick and hopeless, but a year later, I feel and look like a total new person. They care for their patients before surgery, during stay at the hospital and provides an exceptional after care services. Even a year later, I still consult them and they always guide me through my journey. Theirs is beyond a business transaction, but a contribution towards well being of patients. I had a VSG and if it was possible, I will do it again, so i recommend Hermes Hospital in Turkey to everyone who wants to live a better life.

Everything went well from the time we arrived the blood test were done in under an hour and the doctors are soo attentive after the operation. Yunus did a great job with the whole process of making sure that everything is prepared and my admission. The only hiccup was when the airport transfer organised by Melten dropped us at the wrong airport and she completely ignored us when we tried to contact her. To date she hasn’t asked how we got to the right airport.

Everything went well accept the last day pickup to the airport. The lady called Meltem said she organized pickup transport to take me to the airport, however, in the morning I waited for the transport and it never came. I tried calling her she avoided my calls and never bordered to answer to my watsapp until today. She never did any follow up whatsoever.
From the airport to blood tests at their hospital, the treatment was very professional and we were picked up on time with VIP treatment. The Consultant by the name of YUNUS, was very helpful from the first day of my consultant until my post operation. He checked how I was feeling if I have any challenges with the operation. He is very professional and down to earth. He knows how to treat customers and I would give him promotion. My doctor , Dr Ahmed, very professional and the surgery went very well, I would recommend anyone who want to change her looks to Dr Ahmed. Overall, I'm very happy and excited I took this decision ☺️

For me it's the people that make sure your journey is easy because they are there for you before and after the operation..Tutku the consultant has been an absolute darling since I started contacting Hermes Clinics, he is available anytime when you are uncertain, when you feel you're not making progress, when you have questions to ask.. Tutku is an absolute Gem.. He takes care of his clients..when you deal with him it doesn't feel like he is miles away..Thank you Tutku for your professionalism, care and being always available for Hermes patients..He checks up on you.. like wanting to know how you are doing...how you are progressing, giving advice on different stages..He's a star..I only met him once when they came to South Africa but he is always there every step of the way!!!..

Florya clinic needs a bit of an upgrade or revamping though..

From the beginning of my journey to Turkey, Yunus was taking care of me mind you I had fear of the unknown. He has passion and very professional 👏 When I arrived he made sure I'm safe apart from that he was with me from the beginning of my dental treatment until the end. I left Turkey alive and kicking with all my organs. Thanks Yunus and all Hermes staff and my humble Dentist. I will go there again for mommy make over ASAP🥰💝

I’m happy with their service, Buse made sure my process was smooth, when I arrived in Instanbul Airport I was taken care of the transfer took me to the hotel , the procedure went super well. I am happy with the results.5months post op 30kg down

An honest review **

I am 13 days post op and have returned home feeling a new lease of life.

Here’s my experience from start to finish my pros and my cons.

We were collected from the airport in a nice transfer which was a long but pleasant trip to the hospital.

It was never explained to me that Hermes are not an hospital they are a clinic and they book you into local hospitals in Istanbul - I arrived at Florya Hastines. Upon arriving at the hospital I was confused, the staff were kind and showed us to our room after a few tests.

The hospital is quiet and is staffed 24hours, the staff don’t all speak English but they are helpful to the best of their ability and use Google translate when there are any struggles which helped a lot. My partner came with me and though we had a smaller room we both had room to sleep, he on a sofa bed and myself in the Hospital bed. The beds aren’t the most comfiest but that’s standard in most hospitals I’ve experienced.

The rooms were cleaned daily and my
Partner was provided food daily - there are also options in the cafe and shop downstairs which he said were good.

Like any surgery abroad I was very nervous and I was scared - one con I will say needs to be addressed is that on the day of my surgery a nurse came in and presented some paper work on my bed, nothing was read or explained to me, I was told ‘name and sign’ as she turned every page and then asked to sign another page to say I had read and been given a copy of all signed - I signed this though I had not been given any opportunity to read nor had I been given a copy.

Upon heading down to theatre I was shaking and crying as I felt like I had no idea what was going on, again lack of explaining the process I also had not met the surgeon prior to the actual surgery however the surgical team were kind, talkative and reassuring toward me.

After surgery I was very panicked and I struggled a lot with recovery the first few days, the way in which you’re awoke from surgery is frightening as they wake you as you’re being wheeled back to your room, so it’s a huge shock and you have no idea where you are or what’s going on, I was taken back to my room and my partner was there so I instantly felt safer once back to my ward and room.

I was taken care of, the girls gave me pain relief whenever I asked or advised me to walk if it was gas related pain which really helped even though it felt tough at times the recovery is not easy and the gas pain is absolutely horrific.

My consultant Mel was great, she was very kind, friendly, polite, attentive and always smiling keeping me in good spirit reassuring me everything was ok and I felt fully informed of each of the steps to come after my surgery. The dietitian was great, full information guide provided and she ran through it with us explaining each phase regarding our recovery diets. My surgeon checked in on me daily post op and was again very reassuring that the surgery was successful and everything had gone smoothly.

3 days post op I was pretty much back to myself and was discharged to a gorgeous 5 star hotel via taxi. The hotel was stunning I couldn’t have been more comfortable there.

The following day we were flying home and Mel reassured me of our pick up transfer for the airport and times. The transfer turned up right on time as promised and again was a lovely comfortable transfer to the airport. I feel Mel went above and beyond for me and I can’t thank her enough. She provided me with the protein shake pack and all my medication and vitamins for the future, she really was amazing and I felt really take care of by her.

I’m very greatful to Hermes clinic and florya hospital for their care and for helping me start my new healthier life.

- I was supposed to get a follow up phone call with Mel that I arranged with her and sadly it didn’t happen. I’ve heard nothing from them since my return - this isn’t really an issue to me if I’m honest but it did surprise me.

- another thing Hermes could do better would be explaining every thing thoroughly upon arrival. I didn’t get that, I was just shown to my room and then woke up the next days for tests… pre op, then op. I wasn’t made aware of any of what was to come or when I was and wasn’t allowed water etc, I wasn’t informed of the blue dye test and so in essence I think Hermes intentions are great and they definitely have your health and wellbeing at front thought it’s the hospital that didn’t explain things and it was their job to do so.

Over all I would say it’s an experience I’ll never forget - but if you book do ensure everything is explained to you on arrival, ask all the questions prior to flying via WhatsApp and again when you arrive. Make sure someone sits down with you and explains what you’re signing in full because it’s only in hindsight I realised how bad that part was.

From start to finish, was looked after excellent, private transfer from airport to clinic. Had bloods done straight away. In the morning was met by Mel the co ordinator, who spoke excellent English. Explained what was going to happen. Also met my surgeon, he was amazing. I can not put into words how happy I am. I has upper,lower eyes. My turkey neck gone and a face life. I'm only 4 days post op and I just absolutely love what they have done. I'm not in any pain what so ever I would highly recommend hermes 100%

The nurses and the doctors are great, they really take care of you. I like that the process is very fast, as soon as you get in, you do all sorts of test and do the surgery the same day. I like Mel, she takes you through the process so kindly and she is honest and friendly. I would certainly recommend this hospital.

I was booked for a blepharoplasty at the beginning of May 2026. The experience, from the time we arrived at the Florya Clinic to the time we left, was amazing. The admission process was quick, and the X-rays and blood tests were completed upon arrival. The consultation with the surgeon Ahmet was conducted very professionally, allowing time for questions and ensuring a level of comfort, especially as surgery can naturally cause some anxiety.The overnight stay at the clinic for both myself and my partner was comfortable. Despite the language barrier, we were able to navigate communication in some instances using Google Translate.
Our relationship manager, Mel, played a pivotal role. She was our main point of contact and kept us informed throughout the entire process. The transfer to the hotel for recovery was managed efficiently, and the accommodation was fantastic. The service and support provided to both myself and my partner were truly outstanding. There was even a limo transfer to the airport. The packages offered were well worth it. I would recommend doing thorough research and trying to connect with others who have undergone similar or other procedures.

From the reception at the airport to the hospital and hotel you are well taken care of. Despite the language barrier everyone tries to assist you. Mel was greatest coordinator, always ready with a smile. The doctors were thorough, it gave me confidence in the entire process and procedure.

Tummy tuck surgery has gone horrendously wrong. Despite contacting the clinic numerous times as they promise a lifetime of aftercare they’re now ignoring me.
They tried denying any wrongdoing by using medical terms which they thought I wouldn’t understand to throw me off and when that didn’t work they ignored me and continue to do so.
I developed a swelling under my arm the day after my surgery and the surgeon just cut me open with no anaesthetic or gloves. The pain was unbearable and no wonder I came home with an infection.
If I could give them zero stars I would.
They’re only good when things go well but when there’s a problem they’re not interested in the slightest!!!

I am 3 years out today 29/04/2024 and i wouldn’t recommend any other company! These have looked after me from start to finish, I can’t wait to start my next chapter with them thankyou they made me see the person that was hidden from the world xxxxx

My experience with Hermes was the best. Everything that they promised happened as promised; from a quality hospital with well trained personnel to the 5 star hotel, that hotel Eliteworild is one of the finest I’ve ever been to. I’m 1 month post op now and have lost 18 kilograms already. I feel light and look great. One thing about gastric surgery that I’ve noticed is your skin gets two shades lighter and glossy…very magical. I’d recommend Hermes Clinic to everybody contemplating a weightloss surgery as they’re truly the Mecca of surgeries, very professional and kind. I’m looking forward to a whole new me as my clothes are getting loose and compliments are starting to trickle in🌸
