Everything went smoothly, Tom the electrician came did the testing, explained the remedial work, very professional.
The report took a bit more than I expected but happy with it.

Here’s a verified review after a job’s been done. Hexo are crooks. They did an EICR at one of my rental properties. They gave an “unsatisfactory” certificate but said they could fix the identified issues for £1,600. Unfortunately for them, they picked on the wrong landlord. I’ve run a portfolio for over two decades and I know what I’m doing. The works they said needed doing contracted their own EICR report! So I got a well-respected qualified electrician to do another EICR report two days later. Guess what? He gave a “satisfactory” EICR report and confirmed no remedial works were required. So, do not use this company. Think about it: how else do you expect Hexo to remain profitable if they pay for advertising on Social Media but charge only £79 for the EICR? They have to make a profit somehow. And it’ll be by fabricating overpriced phantom remedial works that are not even required.

Friendly on phone. Asked for payment upfront - declined! Unsatisfactory result on EICR, with many advisories that could be rectified for either £400+ or £1400+! Electrician available almost immediately. I have arranged a bona fide inspection of the work.

They've sorted the issue, but the communication on what was needed was not communicated to the electrician at first, had to go through a few call with their company and got a much higher quote that was not previously communicated to me. however, it was sorted in the end.

As we were undertaking our EICR for our flat, we stumbled across Hexo Electrical, and I can honestly say it was a pleasure.

The office scheduled in a date and time for the EICR, which went unhinged. The report was sent out accordingly and we had some defects which were explained to us in the report.

We will definitely be using Hexo Electrical for any further upcoming works and I shall recommend them on the basis of our positive experience.

I needed to do an EICR test and found Hexo on the Internet. They were fast in replying to my enquiries and an appointment by the electrician was quickly set up to carry out the request. The electrician was very knowledgeable and helpful; he provided useful advice and options for me to consider.

We had a great experience working with them. They were easy to communicate with, had excellent and flexible availability, and were able to accommodate our needs on very short notice. This was a last-minute job for us, and they made the whole process stress-free and ensured everything was completed on time.

Their invoicing system was straightforward and easy to navigate, which made administration simple. We also received our certificate promptly, with no delays. Overall, the service was professional, efficient, and reliable. We would highly recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

I would not recommend this company. I paid in advance of the EICR being carried out. Once the inspection was completed, Hexo withheld the report (and certificate) and sent me a supplementary invoice for an additional (9th) circuit - which did not exist. Having pointed this out to them (with photo of consumer unit as proof) they provided me with a “Fail” certificate & report with a quote for the one correction required and numerous recommended jobs.

The report had a number of inaccuracies, which did not inspire confidence. I completed the one essential job (conduit required for an outside light) and asked them to reinspect. The cost of the reinspection was going to be just £12 less than the full report & EICR, so I challenged the price. Their response was to say that the cost attributed to the reinspection would not cover their costs (!) and that they had discovered a further “fail” item (which was hardly confidence inspiring). They attached a photo of a pendant light fitting with the rose unscrewed and wires exposed. I happened to have photographed this (and had already sent it to them to show a smoke detector they had failed to account for) which showed the light fitting fully compliant/safe. They had clearly sent a photo of this light fitting being checked as part of the inspection, now claiming it to be “as found/faulty”. They have not responded to my email pointing this out, which was sent 3 weeks ago and I have subsequently employed a local and trusted electrician to carry out a complete EICR again. Pass certificate happily achieved and lesson learnt – cheap isn’t always best (and doesn’t actually end cheaply). My personal belief is that they charge cheap prices for the inspection, relying on further works resulting from the inspection fails they generate.
