I tried cancelling my subscription through my account but it hasn't worked and I keep getting attempts to charge my account, luckily I've changed accounts so there's no money in this one current... Toon meer

If I could give negative stars
If I could give negative stars, I would.
Will not respond to support emails.
No access to account, says it doesn't exist.
Still having my PayPal debited.
No response to issue raised with PayPal, and it's been days.
Looks like my only option is to cancel my card.
Piece of s*#t company, who doesn't respond or give access, yet is happy to take your money. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Will not let you unsubscribe - avoid!!!
I can log into access.historyhit.com but not historyhit.com. When trying to cancel my subscription on access.historyhit.com I keep getting an error message saying it cannot cancel my subscription. I have emailed support and they are saying that they cannot see my email registered with an account, but they can quite easily take £7.99 a month out of my account no problem. I have explained my situation again and have had no response.
I have had to result to contacting my bank to put a block on the recurring payment. I would avoid subscribing at all costs. I have never known a subscription service that does not let you cancel.

Completely inaccessible!
The very first review I read here is my experience exactly. I can't access the site, therefore I can't cancel my subscription. I mean, who wants to pay for something they cannot use? I've sent 5 emails, no response. I'll be looking for a full refund... if I EVER get a response!

Money paid and no access given
Same problem as many others. I paid for subscription, got no free trial period and no access, customer service is absolutely DREADFUL and am still awaiting reimbursement 5 weeks later. Unless you feel like just giving them.money for free, avoid at all costs.

Hi there, thanks for this feedback. Just to reiterate as per our support system, we did manage to get to the bottom of your issue and have issued a refund. The original reason you didn't get access to your account was due to a typo in your email when you signed up. Once we located the issue, we did issue a refund and also give you a further coupon to sign up with a further discount for a few months. I've sent you a further follow up message to make sure all the refund went through. If it didn't or there is still trouble, do reply to the email.
Content dissapointing
I'm dissapointed about the content on History Hit, IMO much better content available on Youtube premium with hundreds of Time Team episodes and other stuff.
Also the cancellation process on History could be easier.

Cannot get subscriptions back despite trial period.
I subscribed to History Hits and I could not easily access the channel so I cancelled my 14 day trial the next day.
I tried again using a different email address but still had a problems. I once again cancelled the subscription by contacting the support line the next day.
History Hits have taken two subscriptions from me, despite numerous emails.
They did say in one of their replies that they would cancel one of the subscriptions, I said thanks but I also want the second one done.
Today no money has been returned.
I am a pensioner and I can ill afford to have £120 taken out of my bank in this way. They have failed to honour their 14 day trial offer and I feel that I have been scammed.

This is a superb range of history podcasts….ideal for long car journeys or for any spare moment really….the great hosts bring history to life….lots of detail and anecdotes….love it

I love history, so this has been a great find. Although I've only had time to watch a couple of shows so far, I'm looking forward to exploring it further soon. Good, simple platform and great content. It's very UK/Europe-focused though, so I hope to see more international content added too.
