HomeCooks Reviews

Fantastic food - tasty and satisfying. Such a reasonable price and so easy to make. Highly recommend.

Spotted in Sainsbury’s when walking the chilled food isle this morning, looking for a quick meal for tea. Picked up a ‘Chargrilled Chicken Shawarma’.
Wow, what a dish!
Portion size was plentiful.
Taste was great, and it was a very healthy option for a ready meal that hit the spot, high in protein etc.
Usually the Healthier Options lacks in taste but not this dish.
Will pop back in to try the others.

I've used a few different meal prep services, but love that HomeCooks uses different chefs to create a great and high quality selection. Very happy so far.

These meals are excellent. Delicious and I love the "sides" and it's great to have nutritionally balanced meals and not encased in plastic

quality and ingredients excellent, nice to have all in 1 container not having to think of things to add, very varied selection should satify most people

Turkey meatballs were spectacular. Captured that real home made taste and a really generous portion. Loved the sauce in particular. Will definitely be trying the rest of the range.

Easy to navigate the website. Very tasty meal, no issue with delivery! I think it’s also responsible priced.

I like the variety in choices and that they come frozen so I can store some in t h e freezer so that they can stay fresher throughout the week

I get the food in coop regularly and it is legit great. Fish pie and kung pao are my goto. Yesterday I had the turkey meatballs from Sainsbury's wow!

I am seriously enjoying these dishes. So far everything I have eaten has been delicious and filling. Really worth checking out. I also like the little bios on the meals about the chefs, nice touch.

Bought Classic Whitstable Fish Pie from a freezer at Misterton Coop. Most disappointing. Instructions recommend microwaving for 9 minutes, then leaving to stand for 1 min. The mash was watery and sloppy, no taste of Cheddar or dill. The fish was ordinary, no sign of salmon, generally tasteless. Too many hard peas. Coop’s own Incredible range and M&S much nicer, more variety, distinct types of fish, prawns, spinach, good flavours and delicious creamy mash. Also cheaper. Will not be tempted to try any other products in their range. Jan Tully

Very tasty meal
Only problem is delivery dates that are quite inconvenient as they should be earlier in the week or Sunday for the week ahead

Good quality food. Cheaper than a pret sandwich and a bag of chips.

Lots of meal options and protein, vegetables and carbs are separated which is a big plus in my opinion. You can freeze the meals.

Really enjoying my first delivery so far! The flavours are unrivalled compared to other similar offerings, and the meals are also far more balanced, and not just full of carbs.

all the meals we've tried have been great

Efficient and quick to do

Very quick and easy experience, wide variety of meals too!

Well where do I start. I thought I’d give them a go as I need to improve my health with a medical condition and it looked quite promising. Received my first delivery and on Glance it looked okay. The idea was I wrong I went for the vegan/vegetarian selections And I’ve tried about a. Tablespoon Of each meal and oh boy I couldn’t continue. Everything was in tiny quantities and it seems that people think if they add a lot of spice it would make it palatable but it made it unbearably disgusting to be honest with you. So I cancelled it I even tried to give the leftovers to my Dogs. They turned their nose up at her and they will eat anything. Maybe I’mma be in a little harsh because I was a chef myself. But to be honest with you, I would not have been happy serving up those meals to anybody. The dryness was the The worse part sogginess of them tiny amounts of fresh vegetables over seasoning with very strong flavours which made it unpalatable. I might be wrong if I had tried the meat versions but the versions I had were mainly vegan and vegetarian choices. And every single one of them was revolting.

It was just very easy to order. I purchased a home cooks meal from Sainsbury’s and it was delicious so I had to order as soon as I finished
