The meals are incredibly tasty- I love cooking and home cooked food but don’t always have the time - these are far better than takeaways or ready meals.

Delicious!
I have been very impressed with my first home cooks order! All the meals taste fresh and delicious - feels like i have a personal chef cooking for me. I like that there are different elements to the meal and the packaging helps separate them. The different combo sides which come with each meal keeps it exciting. Looking forward to my next order.

Well seasoned, delicious meals
Well seasoned fresh ingredients. Delicious meals that help me when I can’t cook with chronic illness. That still have all the nutrients of home cooked meals.

Sicilian courgette Lasagna
Sicilian courgette lasagna. My first meal of my first delivery. The ordering and delivery was great. Lots of information from HC and the delivery company. Box arrived on time and left correctly. The packaging was brilliant. The contents were super chilled and smelt amazing! Straight to the freezer bag the lasagna. The cooking process described was ideal and its looks delicious. I’ve marked it down because of the garlic. Very heavy on the garlic, the smell overpowered the fridge and was strong when I opened the door , even thoughts mea; was still in the container. The ingredients appeared very good quality, fresh and cooked well. However; the taste reflected the smell. Too heavy on the garlic, I’ll be changing my order for next time. I’m still looking forward to the other meals as the quality and servic outshines other suppliers.

Hi Anne,
Thanks so much for the detailed review and welcome aboard! Really glad the ordering, delivery and packaging all landed well, that's exactly the experience we aim for.
Noted on the garlic in the Sicilian Courgette Lasagna, that's really useful feedback and we'll feed it back to the chef. Looking forward to hearing what you think of the rest of your box, hopefully the others hit the mark for you.

We have had our first fish so far which was chicken satay. We have been trying some other ready meal companies as well, so I can easily say that this was the best chicken satay among them all. It was very tasty. Only downside is not being able to choose carb option as we would prefer brown rice rather than sticky rice

Hi Ipek,
Thanks so much for the lovely review! Really glad the Chicken Satay came out on top for you, our chefs will be chuffed to hear it.
Noted on the brown rice preference, that's something we're always looking at. We tend to pair each dish with the carb our chefs feel works best for it, but it's useful feedback to log for the future.

Delicious
I normally don't like meatball meals, when you need to microwave them, but these were delicious. It was a deep tangy flavour, and the rest of the meal work brilliantly with it. Delicious

First time subscriber to meal services
I'm a first time subscriber to meal-prep services, and Home Cooks is great whilst I'm working away from home and want to feel like I'm eating well without access to my own kitchen. My first order had two missing items which was a little frustrating, but without my asking I was refunded for them and given a discount off my next box, so I appreciated the extra effort to make sure I was compensated for the inconvenience.
