The meals are incredibly tasty- I love cooking and home cooked food but don’t always have the time - these are far better than takeaways or ready meals.

First time subscriber to meal services
I'm a first time subscriber to meal-prep services, and Home Cooks is great whilst I'm working away from home and want to feel like I'm eating well without access to my own kitchen. My first order had two missing items which was a little frustrating, but without my asking I was refunded for them and given a discount off my next box, so I appreciated the extra effort to make sure I was compensated for the inconvenience.

Hi Nick,
Thanks so much for the lovely review and welcome aboard! Really sorry about the missing items on your first box, that shouldn't have happened, but glad we were able to put it right straight away. Hope the next one lands in perfect shape and that the meals keep you well fed while you're working away.

Frozen meals, with compartments
Best ready meal service I have tried. Note these are frozen, so can be eaten when suits you. The separate compartments work well too.

Delicious and very filling!
Delicious and very filling! The meatballs were flavorful and not dry and went well with the fregola and aubergine for a well-rounded meal.

Choosing meals was easy
Choosing meals was easy. Paying for it was a bit of a challenge if you use Amex but not impossible hence 4 stars.

Love the convenience of these meals
Love the convenience of these meals, and that they taste fresh and not like a processed ready meal. Would love to see a few more vegan and vegetarian options. Appreciate the free gifts too, wasn't expecting those!

So far the meals are very good
So far the meals are very good. Tasty and thoughtful. However, I think they’re a bit expensive at full price. I also had an issue with my box arriving with meals with loose lids and was worried at first, but no issues have come from that.
I would highly recommend the Malaysian Peanut Chicken and the Lasagne!!

Very good, but -
Overall very good but only 4/5 stars as I couldn't find out whether meals are delivered chilled or frozen, what preparation is required and whether the containers are microwave friendly.

Hi Ray,
Thank you so much for the kind review, and fair feedback on the information side. Quick clarity for you: meals arrive frozen, cooking instructions are printed on each pack for both oven and microwave, and yes, the trays are microwave safe. I'll pass the feedback on so we can make this clearer on the site.
