Here at PK Plumbing we are very happy with House Call Pro! We have been using this program for scheduling and payroll since February and zero complaints. What has happened when I've had some small issue, there has always been an easy fix!! We have recommended HCP to other Plumbers and will continue to do so.

Housecall Pro was great till robots took over
Housecall Pro was really great and worth every penny until the beginning of 2025. When we called, we couldn't talk to a human anymore for tech support. They would only relate thru AI. We couldn't get our questions answered. We no longer use HCP.
The software was terrific for our needs. They provided everything we needed, until we couldn't get customer service for tech support anymore.
We don't recommend HCP any more to any of our business friends or others.
It has been over 2 weeks since my complaint to HCP, after they emailed stating an agent would be calling me. No one has ever called me from HCP. We're done with their complete lack of customer service. They just don't care about customer service.

Housecall Pro took money that was deposited for materials as a transaction, resulting in me losing almost 3k. I called and spoke to two support agents and stressed the importance of getting back to me that night and they never did. I still haven't received a call. Inexcusable

I have used the chat support feature recently and it has been wonderful. I was acknowledged immediately and assisted within 3-5 minutes which is fine because I just keep working. There are some functions that I was disappointed that they weren't available but hopefully soon!

They're constantly making useless…
They're constantly making useless changes that slow down performance. Each update is a downgrade and if they actually used the program, they would see that.
The new scheduling is the worst roll out so far, now I need to have 2 or more windows open at a time on different screens in order to see available times and technicians. I guess if you're a fan of AI then maybe it's ok, but if you actually do the job, it's now much harder. Trying regularly to get my company to switch to another software.
So they say they're going to reach out and a week alter and crickets.

I'm a small business and personally love housecall pro. Saves me hours of work every day. Works exactly like how I'd expect it to work, and I love how it integrates into QuickBooks for my accountant. This company was nickel and diming my company per invoice, per ticket, per whatever else. I finally switched to another company 6years ago and despite this change and my constant insistence to delete my company data and leave us alone, they continue to call and email harassing my employees and myself. In fact, I'm only leaving this review because I got another email today asking for a review, so here it is. GO AWAY and STOP harassing people.

Great Interface, Lacks Some Features
We've been using HCP for most of this year, so not quite a full 12 months yet. Our experience has been mostly great. I do feel the pricing could be better, lots of add on fees depending on features you may or may not want to use, plus paying for additional users is kind of a bummer. One major feature I wish the system supported: videos. Videos are SO helpful on our jobsites and not having the ability to take and upload videos from the field is probably our biggest complaint. We love the ability to text customers from the platform, the automatic notifications the customers get, and the general ease of use on the platform. Could be a five start experience with some upgraded features and pricing adjustments.

I do not like that you cannot speak…
I do not like that you cannot speak with someone in customer service. To the best of my knowledge, it is all online chats. My last experience was horrible as I was transferred 4 times (from one person to another ON A CHAT!). It takes hours to get an answer to something that could take minutes if it was a LIVE person. Also, working in an HVAC company, there are things that should be made for our industry specific and they are not. This is not a one-size-fits-all type of software. I submit suggestions and am waiting for them to be implemented (not holding my breath) and they are not major things. I feel the enhancements that have been made were not needed at all!
