Workable, but wish I'd chosen something different

It's a pretty good program and fairly easy to get started into. However, they are constantly adding new features and changing things instead of working out the many known bugs and issues that slow down users daily. Lots of the promised features don't work at all and yet they add things like AI call answering. The blue chat bubble is an utter and total waste of time.

Overall happy

We have been using House call pro for 3 years now. The beginning was rough but in the last year they have really outdone themselves.
From quickly and efficiently resolving the technical issues to customer support and working with customers in meeting their budget, I'm quite happy.

A business tool that’s worth every penny

Great company a truly all purpose tool for my business from a streamlined CRM to running analytics, price book and call center. Plus I hate paperwork and I find cheaper and way easier to use than competitors.

I use House Call Pro to do my lawncare…

I use House Call Pro to do my lawncare business and my customers love it ive had a few problems but ive worked it out with customer service no complaints here

Housecall Pro has helped us streamline our operations. Tracking maintenance calls and auto-monthly billing has helped tremendously compared to our last software experience. Customer Service is always quick and reliable to answer any questions and give suggestions and instructions.

Wanted to cancel after a short period of time, they wouldn't let me and are holding onto my money. Wouldn't be reasonable and let me just pay for the months I used.

They keep charging for add-ons we never…

They keep charging for add-ons we never agreed to. The system can't adjust payments after the invoice is submitted. For example, if a customer adds a tip, we can't manually include it in the invoice, which causes discrepancies when recording entries in QuickBooks. I tried resolving these issues with them, but they never fixed anything, issued refunds, or provided credit for wrongful charges. It's dishonest and not a service worth hiring or keeping.

After carefully reviewing your case and consulting with our Billing team and management, we’ve decided to issue a refund of $245.61 for the Pipeline subscriptions. This refund covers both September’s enrollment/renewal and October. Please rest assured that the HCP Cam subscription was canceled before any charges were applied. Terrible Customer Support

I'm on my free trial and I've been denied to using House Call Pro's payment system to charge customers before I even have a real membership. I've been looking to get into contact with their payments team and customer support keeps shutting me down and saying "We cant do anything" or "We've put you in our call list". Its been days. Terrible service and the customer support people lie to you just to get you off the phone and your problems too.

It's gotten a lot better

Eh. I've used them for a couple of years now and would switch to a different platform but feel somewhat stuck with them at this point. Biggest complaint so far is the invoicing and time tracking on jobs. All my techs complain about clocking in/out of jobs as it seems to always have issues, especially on larger projects where we have 10+ visits on the job. The invoicing is almost unusable in my opinion. We used to use Quickbooks and were able to make adjustments after an invoice was sent (for example, whether to accept credit card or not). With Housecall Pro, once the invoice has been sent I've been told you can't make these changes. Kind of a problem on an invoice worth $10k+. A simple mistake could end up costing you hundreds of dollars in fees. Estimating used to be pretty rough as well, but they just released an update that has made it a lot better so far.

I'd recommend trying a different platform. Housecall Pro is decent but isn't capable of being the "ultimate" solution it's trying to be.

Update: They've made changes to invoicing and estimating that have made the service a lot better. Previously it was pretty rough. Still a lot of work to do on the project management side, but for the price we can definitely make this work now.

They refuse to cancel my account

Housecall Pro refuse to cancel my account, Ive contacted them at least 15 times and the account is still open and linked with my social platforms with me having the option to terminate it.
Please do yourself a favor and find a different software, I'm using Workiz and Jobnimbus and it's much more friendly and professional!

Update: Housecall pro called me and tried to help - thank you.

Tried to cancel HCP assist multiple times. They say they "call" and ask if there a better time to call but nobody calls and they avoid you. It has been three weeks since trying to cancel and nothing!

Hands down the worst platform I’ve ever…

Hands down the worst platform I’ve ever used for marketing. There is zero customization — you can’t remove their logo or email address from your messages, you can’t hyperlink anything at all, and every layout turns into double-spaced chaos. The editor feels like it was built in 1998. And support? Nonexistent. Was on chat for over an hour on my second person and he said he needs to step out for a 30-40 minute meeting lol! I don’t need a help article — I need 40 minutes with their developer so I can show them how a real platform should work.

The absolute worst!

The absolute worst!! The customer service is by far the worst we have ever experienced. They will do updates and make your estimates and invoices look completely different with no recourse to go back to the original format. The system glitches non-stop. We will be taking our business to Service Titan.

No Support

3 months into our on boarding, we are not on board.... we have found that their support is non existent.... they are great getting the sign up and payment....
We were told that QuickBooks data would work with Housecall pro without redundant data entry, however that has not been the case…

The overall features seemed to be great, just wish our time and money resulted in any benefit- it has not.

The onboarding is limited, they allocate a time limit for onboarding calls, and in our case , the onboarding rep has been on vacation, no back up support, and no response. For us, its been a huge waste of time.
