Avoid this company — extremely poor customer service and refusal to honour consumer rights.

I purchased an ActiveShop Ultrasonic Cleaner from House of Beauty, which broke after only 2–3 months of normal use. The device cracked and stopped working completely.

After contacting the company, I was asked to return it at my own expense. Once they received the item, communication became almost impossible — emails ignored, calls unanswered, and no update for nearly two months.

When they finally responded, they claimed “liquid ingress” and refused to repair or replace it. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, faults within the first 6 months are legally presumed to be present at the time of sale unless the retailer can prove otherwise. They provided no evidence, no photos, no report — nothing. Just a generic statement.

We requested proof and reminded them of their legal obligations. They ignored the email completely and simply posted the broken machine back without resolving the issue.

This behaviour shows a complete lack of accountability, customer care, or understanding of UK consumer law. I strongly advise others to avoid this retailer — especially for electrical equipment — as they are unwilling to support customers when something goes wrong.

If the company resolves this properly, I will update this review, but as it stands, the experience has been extremely disappointing.

Nie polecam . Kupiłam dwie próbki podkładu żeby dobrać odpowiedni kolor.
Próbki które dostałam nie są oryginalnym podkładem który zamawiałam . Maja inną konsystencję i kolor niż oryginaly podkład. Oszustowo. Nie polecam . Radzę omijać i nic nie zamawiać u nich .

Order placed 13th november !!! Didnt even want to provide 1 star. No communication via email. Found a a mobile number called it told to text the number. Provided all the details. They told me my parcel was lost. I emailed chasing this up but didnt notify me this was the case. Theu told they can resend the parcel but dont have enough to fulfill the order again. I asked how many of the items were in stock. No response. Asked to be refunded the difference if it cannot be fulfilled. No response. Asked for an update. Told i was would recieve one the next day which is today the 4th december. No update. No emails checked my spam folder. No comminication. Awful company. Will be contacting the bank to get my money back

zamówienie złożyłam przed tygodniem, miała być dostawa w ciągu 1-2dni, a do dziś żadnego powiadomienia! telefon podany jako kontakt, nie odpowiada(abonent czasowo niedostępny, zostaw wiadomość). oczywiście nikt nie odpowiada na zostawione wiadomości!!! wyłudzanie pieniędzy, zgłoszę do banku

Don't buy from them. Paid 9.99 for express delivery but it was not sent on time. Missing product in the parcel. Worst customer service ever. 2 weeks and I am still waiting. Avoid.

I ordered e-file, which never arrived and seller ignoring my text messages, calls, customer phone not working… Don’t buy anything from this shop!!! Shame

Przesyłka opóźniona a jak dotarła to nie kompletna strata pieniędzy NIE POLECAM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zamówiłam 9 listopada lakiery hybrydowe (tylko u nich jeszcze były). Nie wiem dlaczego nie sprawdziłam opinii w necie,a zawsze to robię. Do dzisiaj 20 listopada nawet na stronie nie widnieje,że cokolwiek zamawiałam,a dostałam potwierdzenie na maila. Zgłoszone do banku. Wyłudzanie pieniędzy. Szok! Dostałam maila 28 listopada z numerem nadania paczki. Czekam i czekam no i się doczekałam 4 Grudnia ruszyła. Przewidywany termin na jutro czyli 5 Grudnia. Licze,ze dotrze do mnie całe zamówienie. Opóźnienie ponad 2 tygodniowe i żadnej wiadomości,że dostawa będzie opóźniona.

I had a great experience shopping here. The customer service was very friendly and helpful, the shipping was fast and the products are of great quality. Everything arrived exactly as described. I highly recommend this store. My first but not last order :)

I recieve all item in few days and it was on time and I'm very happy with what i recieved.

I purchased 2 items at the beginning of September 2025. The total came to £550. Only half of the order arrived. The dust collector that I’ve paid £331.55 never arrived. Seller is avoid answering my calls and is not responding to my messages. Avoid at all cost!

I ordered a Kolinsky brush from this store. It was shown as in stock on their website. I received an email saying that my order was confirmed and shipped within one day. However, even after four weeks, the product never arrived.They took the money for the product but didn’t issue a refund. They’re trying to deceive me by claiming the product was delivered. I’m completely dissatisfied and do not recommend shopping here.

I placed an order with this company, and it has never arrived. Despite several emails, the only response I received was a Royal Mail tracking number showing the parcel as “delivered to Tottenham DO” — not to my actual address !!!
The tracking record claims the delivery happened on 29 September 2025, even though my order confirmation email stated the estimated delivery date was between 3–7 October 2025. This is clearly inconsistent.
I have not received any item, no delivery card, and even after checking with my neighbours, it’s evident that nothing was delivered. The company has not provided a solution, a refund, or even a proper explanation.

Bought a gel nail kit for my fiancée — I had no clue what I was doing, but the website was easy to use and had everything clearly explained. The delivery was quick, and she’s really happy with the set… which means I’m in her good books too!
