My guarantor application process has been extremely slow and has already taken almost two weeks. I now have less than one week before I need to move into my new accommodation, so this delay is causing me a great deal of stress and uncertainty.

For the past two days, I have been completely unable to contact my case manager Temitope. Both my landlord and I have sent multiple emails and made numerous phone calls, but we have received no response whatsoever. Also, the phone number on the website only connects me to an AI system.

As a tenant facing an imminent move-in date, I find this level of communication and support extremely disappointing. I understand that applications can take time, but completely losing contact with the assigned case manager at such a critical stage is unacceptable. I urgently need an update and proper communication regarding my application.

My experience with Housing Hand was extremely disappointing.

The application process dragged on for weeks while I was repeatedly asked for documents and clarifications. Throughout this period, I was left in a state of uncertainty regarding my accommodation despite responding promptly and providing the information requested.

My case was handled by Nuno Santos. Unfortunately, I found the communication slow and the overall process unnecessarily prolonged. I often felt I was chasing progress rather than being guided through the application. The delay caused a considerable amount of stress at a time when securing accommodation was already time-sensitive.

Housing Hand also contacted my employer for further confirmation despite my employment contract already outlining the nature of my employment. After several weeks of back-and-forth, the application was ultimately rejected because my contract was considered temporary.

What makes this even more frustrating is that after Housing Hand rejected my application, I approached a different guarantor provider and received approval within a matter of days. The contrast in efficiency and customer experience was significant.

For students and recent graduates, time is critical when arranging accommodation. In my experience, Housing Hand created weeks of uncertainty only to arrive at a decision that could likely have been reached much earlier.

I would not use this service again and would not recommend it based on my experience.

I dont understand how they get away with the blatant misrepresentation you come here because you dont have a guarantor half way through the forms you find out they want £300 per month which is fair enough but want a co-signer that is another word for ....a guarantor .....unbelievable semantics

Feels like they are very vague with their terms and conditions, I began using the service in September of last year, which I was provided with 2 options: a once off fee of £867 or £106 monthly, which I called to clarify if that 106 was for the entire time of my tenancy, which they agreed it was, however now I’m being told that this subscription is a year long subscription and I can’t cancel it even after my tenancy is over, which sort of feels like they deliberately want to make you pay them for free, and on their site it states otherwise. Absolutely a nightmare to get in contact with the service team, and you need to wait 1-3 business days for them to respond to an email you respond to in an instant

Nuno helped me patiently with every step I was struggling. It turned out to be very simple and easy.

Very quick to respond and helpful with issues I had.

The worst company, maladministration, failure to contact, never responding and then when you cancel they ignore you to add additional charges and then partner with a collections company that starts adding on costs where the company was the one not responding. A MESS ALL AROUND

Whilst I had some trouble at different steps of the application, like the required documentation and payment method, Yusuf was very helpful all the way through. He replied very quickly, and always solving my problems right away, never forgetting to guide me on the remaining steps.
