Took an olds man pet wrongfully which was the only pet and friend he had. The man did nothing wrong, he was just temporarilly broke but recieving large amounts of donations via social media everyday which helped him feed his cat. The refused to give it back, these poeople are unhumane and cruel.

I applied to adopt a dog a week ago.

I've gotten zero response.

Wow.

Please tell me how they are helping the dogs living in cages?

I supported this orgnization for the past several years. Here is the reason why I stopped now and opted out of all e mails, texts, free calendars, etc. etc. The other day I responded and made a donation on my phone, it kept showing processing transaction for about 10 minutes, so naturally, I clicked again, same thing, then I closed my phone down. The next day I see on my credit card statement that I have been charged twice! This is NOT the first time this has happened, I have let it go in the past. But no more. Anybody knows that when you make an online purchase, it completes quickly and you get a confirmation. I think this is a deliberate method by HSUS. When I read that the CEO makes $600,000 a year and other executives also make 6 digits, I think that is outrageous. The organization doesn't coordinate if you are an online giver or through their mailed requests, so you receive a lot of solicitations. If they are concerned with the environment, they should cut down on their printing.
So you end up with direct mailed solicitations, plus online and phone solicitations and URGENT requests. After I called and spoke to a real person, I got a refund for BOTH transactions, and it was my credit card, kudos to Capital One, that alerted me to two transactions to the same vendor for the same amount, at approximately the same time. So I thank them for that. Today 6/15/24 I get an email from HSUS telling me that I have been credited the charges and that they are sorry for the inconvenience, etc.

I was planning to donate to, and volunteer with the Nevada Humane Society in Reno. I deeply care about animal welfare. All animals, not just cute pets. I scheduled my training session. However, soon after signing up I was invited to a volunteer appreciation barbecue, where they are going to grill ANIMALS. I wrote to them saying that for an organization dedicated to being “humane,” this is UNETHICAL. I was told, basically, “go volunteer somewhere else.” I will not donate my money or time to a “Humane” society organization that finds no conflict in killing and eating animals to “celebrate” their volunteers. Disgusting,

The Humane Society treated me like an inhumane person. I adopted a dog from them for $175, years ago after someone stole my 3yr old Doberman. But, the next day, they came and took the dog away because they said I did not take my dog to the vet every year (I did deworm and original shots, the first year, but not afterward). I told them if the dog was sick, I would take her to the doctor, just like I do with myself. They broke my heart, so I never do business with them now. They are the Inhumane Society.
