Hello Poppy! Thank you for your course, shared knowledge and continuing those conversations.
I had a baby boy on 11/06, 40+3. My waters broke at home while I was sleeping, went to hospital for a check and was offered to stay or go home and come back. We came back after 3h, I had planned to have delivery at midwife unit. Midwife had impression we’ll need to go back home from the way I was, but upon the check, she said I was 7cm already. So she organised a bath and the journey began… it seemed it will be smooth and ‘easy’, but after 3h in water, the baby was just stuck in one position and didn’t want to get out (he was in optimal position for the last 12 weeks, nothing alarming and he was always monitored during labour).
The midwife suggested to try to empty the bladder, but I didn’t manage, so they took me back to the room and used a catheter in hopes it would help baby to move. That didn’t work unfortunately. After another hour of trying in the room, they told me I’ll need to be moved to hospital and will need help with delivery. My husband and I were getting a bit stressed, as everything was not going so well. I lost a lot of energy, as I was encouraged to push straight away when I entered the bath. To make the matters worse, we left all our bags in the car, as my husband planned to take them after we get organised with everything, but he didn’t want to leave me alone as everything was moving quite fast. The midwife fed me glucose tablets throughout to keep me awake even sometimes!
So we moved to the hospital room. Even though I asked minimum staff during the labour, I had maybe 8 staff members gathered to have a peak at what’s going on 🤯 at that point I was just wishing to get over with everything. So before we moved, midwife told us it would be foreceps or suction cup. I said I really don’t want foreceps. The doctor told midwife my contractions are not long enough to birth the baby, it felt like they were disagreeing with each other; the doctor left and the midwife suggested to have oxytocin drip to help me boost the energy, as the baby is so close. I didn’t want that as well, just to protect the baby, I didn’t have any medication or anything up until this point. They gave me IV drip for electrolytes and really started to push for oxytocin, saying it won’t affect anything for baby etc. eventually I just gave in and agreed, but in reality it didn’t help me to push (that’s what they claimed), just woke me up a little bit. Anyways, it didn’t help and the doctor was called in again to do a suction cup. They tried and baby slipped, so they did episiotomy and removed the baby via vacuum extraction.
It’s my first baby, so I don’t know what to expect, I went into the bath at 11:30am and had baby at 5:40pm. It’s not the longest labour I guess, but we had so many issues and felt the staff were incompetent at a lot of times…
In the end, baby and myself are good and healthy, we are going to see an osteopath tomorrow to see how he is getting on.
I just wanted to say thank you for your work, as I relied a lot on your podcasts, posts and courses! I didn’t listen to oxytocin bubble during labour in the hospital, but it was in my head all the time and I didn’t feel like I needed any pain medication because I knew it is my body and that I can do it.
So after a long rant, thank you and keep helping other women in this journey ❤️
Hi Poppy, I just wanted to say how grateful I am for your podcast and the oxytocin bubble - you helped create my dream labour after x2 traumatic inductions with my girls I knew this final labour had to be different and you we’re in my ears the whole way through my unmedicated birth.
I finally got to experience the birthing pool and no epidurals, just breathing through the contractions with your lead.
Thank you truly I feel so healed from the experience 🙏🏼🙏🏼🩷🩷
I actually started with just the 10 minute daily affirmations on Spotify, which I did for several months. I’d tried other hypnobirthing tracks and struggled to find a voice / words that resonated with me.
Then about half way through my 3rd trimester I bought the oxytocin bubble album as if been following you on Instagram and all the labour stories you share. I worked out my favourite tracks and just listened to it as much as I could when I finished up for work. When I went into early labour we had the most amazing day, we went to the zoo with my partners older kids and then to the shops, had dinner at home and went on that evening fully relaxed and in tune with my body. I fully thought I’d need it playing during active labour, so had my speaker ready but when I got to the hospital the prep had really worked and I was just in the zone and didn’t end up playing it at all but I could still hear what I needed to.
I can’t thank you enough honestly, your voice and words are the ones that made me realise I had the strength to birth an 8lbs baby, listen to my body, ignore the outside noise and bring her into the world safely 🥹

The package was great, although I didn’t get to use much of it as I ended up having a caesarean birth which wasn’t what I had planned. I do like the meditation tracks that are in there.

I would highly recommend Poppy's Hypnobirthing courses and soundtracks!
I purchased and started listening to the oxytocin bubble at around 25 weeks, and practised the techniques taught frequently, My last 2 pregnancies ended in very traumatic births and complications so I was really hoping that doing something proactively would give me the best chance of having a positive birth experience with my final baby.
Poppys courses and Instagram videos were so informative and I understood so much more about birth, the stages of labour and learnt so much about how to advocate for myself safely.
I had a feeling that when active labour kicked in, that it would be fast, I was a high risk pregnancy due to my birth history and I was right. I was awoken from a nap at 4.30pm and knew that it was time.
When I got to hospital I was 5cm and having contractions every 2/3 minutes with very little break in between. Things progressed quickly and pains were coming so thick and fast that I focused on staying in my bubble, hearing Poppy's messages on repeat in my head, even though I didn't have the tracks actually playing. In hindsight, I wish I had pre-warned my husband to put them on and not wait for me to ask.
Labour was very intense, it wasn't easy but I remained in the zone. 4 hours after arriving at hospital, I gave birth to a 10lb 3oz baby, who was back to back and required an episiotomy. My main hope for this birth was to use minimal pain relief, and I feel that Poppy's were the absolute key in achieving such an intense birth on only gas and air.
Thank you Poppy, I am very grateful for your powerful help.

Hey Poppy, I just wanted to say big thanks for all content you create. I have been following you for 4 years now and because of you I had my dream birth, better than birth plan I had on paper. I believe now birth is not something to fear but empower. From feeling every contradiction to ring of fire with just TENS machine it was the best thing I have accomplished. Thank you again ❤️ Hope you continue your amazing work 🫶🏻

The best tools for a relaxing birth!!
I just had a successful and fast VBAC. The oxytocin bubble guided meditations and birth box course truly helped make this a magical experience. I was informed, empowered and calm the entire time. I live in Greece where the c-section rate is over 60%. After my first c-section, so many people told me I would not be able to have a VBAC 21 months later. But I did it, with your help, and I am eternally grateful for the experience and gift of my natural child birth.
Thank you again so much 🫶🏻🫶🏻

I have found the birth box to be a really useful tool in preparing for birth. The videos are short and to the point but provide what you need to know and can be gone over several times. I'm still working my way through all the extra resources (audio, pdfs and podcasts) and am finding the meditations a great addition to my hypnobirthing prep in the lead up to D-day! Thanks Poppy, I'm feeling really positive about birth!

I really connected with poppys honesty about how raw, real and powerful birth can me. The importance of training your mind more so than your body. I had an extremely long forst labour and really wanted my second to be uncomplicated and unmediated but I carried fear from my first. This course helped me let go and realise each birth is unique. I ended up having my dream healing birth. I stayed at home until I thought I was close, turns out I left just in time as I was in hospital for 20 minutes before having my daughter in 3 pushes. This was the best birth and I’m still euphoric but any outcome I was prepared for because of poppy. I am forever grateful that I stumbled across her and think anyone wanting a natural birth or just wanting to release some fears should get this.

Absolutely AMAZING. I had the birth I dreamt of and was able to stay calm during a shoulder dystocia all because of this curse and what it taught me! Absolutely amazing and will recommend to everyone having a baby!!!

Although I ended up having a c section, I had a 4 day induction which is used the 4 and 8 breathing. The recordings gave me the confidence to advocate for myself properly and to make measured decisions depending on how capable I felt in the moment. I am really happy I listened to the recordings in preparation as they kept me so calm during all of those days in hospital. I will be recommending this and will use it again when I have more children

The app is quite annoying in terms of needing to login each time and I don’t have enough space to download all audio tracks. I bought it two months prior and then found out there was a massive sale due to the birth of poppy’s son and wish I waited a little longer as I don’t feel the recording were worth what I paid for.

I used the oxytocin bubble tracks to prepare for birth and help with relaxation during pregnancy - I found them so useful to relax while doing perineal massage which I found really uncomfortable at first! When I went into labour, I used the tracks to keep me focused and in control. After 10 hours of labouring at home (using only the tracks, a TENS machine and paracetamol) I felt a shift, and although my contractions were 5 mins apart (not 3 mins like the hospital wanted) we went to the hospital and after an hour of monitoring there they did a cervical exam and I was already 8cm dilated! Just over 2 hours later our daughter arrived safely with just gas and air! I couldn’t recommend the oxytocin bubble tracks enough!

Hi Poppy,
I just wanted to say a huge thank you. I bought the Birth Box, completed all of the homework, created a beautiful visualisation board, and I truly had the birth I had hoped for with my first baby.
It honestly couldn’t have gone any better. My goodness, it was incredibly intense, but also the most magical experience at the same time.
I went into spontaneous labour at 38+4 and stayed at home for as long as I could before heading to the birth centre at 3am. Our beautiful daughter arrived in the birth pool at 7:47am on the 20th June.
Throughout labour I mainly listened to the extended labour and delivery tracks, had my battery powered candles, I used the TENS machine during early labour alongside hip squeezes from my husband, and the Orbs you recommended when it started to ramp up. Everything I learned through your course helped me feel calm, confident, and prepared throughout the my labour.
I’m absolutely over the moon and just wanted to say a massive thank you for everything you do. Your course made such a positive difference to my birth experience.
Please welcome to the world, Olive Athina Williams 💕
Thank you

I purchased Poppys birth box course and listened to the oxytocin album every day for months whilst driving to and from work. I sometimes listened to it in bed with my partner. And we watched the course content together. I absolutely loved the album, the course was very informative too.
During labour I had poppy's voice in my head; with the in and out breath, she got me through a very intense labour (3-10cm in 20 minutes). I used her vowels suggestion also during contractions and i honesty don't know what I’d have done without the course and album. Id highly recommend the course and album to help encourage and empower you in preparation for birth. Thank you Poppy.
My birth was intense and had a traumatic ending where placenta didn't come out, so had to be manually removed but after listening to your album I now trust that it unfolded just as it was meant to, forever grateful for your work.
Ps Afon says thank you for keeping my mamma calm during labour to help bring me earth side, she counted her breathes in and out for hours which helped me stay calm and helped me birth naturally.

This has been probably the most important prep work I have done during my two pregnancies. It gave me the resources to understand my body and it gave me confidence that my body was able to do something that used to really scare me. My first pregnancy resulted in a devastating full term stillbirth. After growing a baby for 9 months and having them die just before birth was not something I could prepare for but I still had to give birth. Doing the breathe work throughout my pregnancy helped me in a very hard time. Laboured for 3.5 hours at home and gave birth an hour later in hospital unintensionally unmedicated. Baby was 'breathed' out with no pushing in 3 contractions with no tearing. 2.5 years later my second birth to my second baby was coming up. This time round was mentally and emotionally a lot harder. I would have to face a lot of fears. Again the prep work in this toolbox throughout pregnancy helped and was essential to training my brain to remain calm in times of anxiety. Unfortunately, I had to be induced this time due to dangerously low amniotic fluid. Contractions did not start so I needed synthetic oxytocin. Natural contractions and contractions from synthetic oxytocin are completely different, chalk and cheese. I wish I'd known to get epidural straight away, natural Labor can not be compared to the drip. Drawing on my experience from my last birth, I thought I was about to give birth to my baby and I was only 6 cm dilated after 4 hours of very intense contractions with less then a minute apart! People if your induced just get the epidural straight away, natural Labor is not the same! Once I had the epidural, it was very cruisey, breathing became a lot easier and this time 'pushed' baby out in about 6 contractions, ending with no tearing, minor grazing and a healthy baby.
Very grateful to Poppy and her passion to teach women about birth. I will continue to using birth box with every pregnancy and birth. I recommend birth box to all my friends having babies.

Dear Poppy,
A week ago I gave birth to my 2nd baby (a boy) and used your oxytocin bubble tracks leading up to and during labor.
Just as I was about to push him out you were saying ‘you are ready’ haha, perfect timing!
My midwifes said my birth was beautiful and I was so much more calm because I practiced the breathing and birth sounds. The experience was better for my partner as well.
I also learned a lot about advocating for myself and not diving into all the interventions, I had a water birth, physiological third stage and opted to go without a cannula (bleeding risk, which I actually had minimal bleeding this time).
I’m recommending you to all expecting mothers!
Thank you Poppy ❤️

I had an amazing home birth at 40 + 3 and I wouldn’t have been able to do that or make the decision to have one without Birthbox.
I followed Poppy on Instagram for my previous pregnancy but never purchased the course, all her free content was amazing but the course really has it all and she offers a reduced payment option.
When I found out I was pregnant again I was sure I would use the course throughout my pregnancy. I found it difficult at first to melt into the meditations and allow my mind to fully relax.. this improved the more I listened! What I loved most about Birthbox was the knowledge it gave me, I learnt so much about birth, the body and my rights. My favourite track in pregnancy was the hypnobirthing and positive affirmations. The birth planning was really useful too although I wasn’t holding on to my birth plan and learnt birth can’t be controlled and I was comfortable with that as long as I stayed informed and remembered no matter what I was built for this.
Originally I had planned to birth on birth unit with an option of a pool but I attended a local home birth Q&A which started making me consider birthing at home. My previous birth and labor involved a lot of intervention without me feeling informed or apart of the decision making and I was induced , waters broken and had the epidural which resulted in an assisted delivery and episiotomy. This was all very fast paced and scary and at points things felt unnecessary. I promised myself this time would be different. Unfortunately my first birth I had a PPH of over 2 L (I had episiotomy & forceps) so birthing on the unit wasn’t advised but everything I learned on birth box about the science and physiology along with my homebirth q&a I trusted my body and hormones.
Around 39 weeks I started having what I believed to be irregular contractions for two days and it went away when I started to doubt myself and think but it’s my due date I listed to poppys podcast about due dates and this helped ground me and I think in turn allowed me to relax and let the oxytocin build.
On a Sunday evening I started having lower back pain and I welcomed it and become excited that this could be it, I followed what I had learned, and the practical tips that poppy shared for each stage. I welcomed the contraction but relaxed and distracted myself and I actually just went to bed. At about 10:30 I was woken up by the sensation still in my back moving across the front but again just kept trying to go back to sleep. waking multiple times in the night let the wave come in and out and not checking the clock allowed me to relax. I eventually started to feel it build and needed some movement and ran a warm bath at 2:30 am this really helped. I had fairy lights on , lavender and listened to my favourite track and kept telling myself my body can do this… I was still unsure if it might go away. I tried to go back to sleep but couldn’t. At about 3:30 out of curiosity I used my Freya app for a little while to time contractions and they were still a little irregular but coming every 10nmins. I woke my partner and decided to go downstairs and set up the pool.
At about 5:30 I was still chatting and laughing and moving freely despite having multiple contractions within a 10 minute period. I used my comb throughout right through to the end. I decided it was time to call the midwife and get my toddler to bed nans. At this point I also started to use my tens machine which was really helpful along with repeating positive affirmations in my mind.
The midwife arrived about 7:30 I had her check the pool and I got in. This instantly helped. I was vocalising the whole time!! On my knees. It was beautiful. During a contraction I even said this is amazing. One thing I found hard was visualisation however in my birth all I kept thinking was my contractions like waves coming in and out building and settling. I did doubt myself and thought this is too manageable I’m going to be in labor for ages and found it really difficult to do the breathing but I had the oxytocin bubble on. Although I wasn’t actively listening and doing what it was suggesting it was a comfort to me to hear poppys voice and the background track reminding me of all the work I had previously done. My midwife was even repeating the affirmations when my labor did intensify. My partner was holding my hand the whole time and telling me I could do it. I had a baby girl at 10:22 am in the pool and it was so amazing and empowering I just kept repeating and saying I’ve done it I’ve done it at home. I done everything I had wanted no interventions no fighting for what I wanted just peace and space to deliver my baby how I choose and also space to deliver my placenta using all the tips poppy taught through the course.
Without Birthbox I wouldn’t have had the confidence to believe in myself. Everything was InMy mindhearing Poppys voice and the track guided me through

I started listening to the birthbox tracks from the fourth month of my pregnancy. My husband also listened to some. It made us both really excited about labour, and very connected to our unborn baby.
Of course, the birth didn't go as planned, and I ended up getting the epidural because it was incredibly long (70 hours!) and I just got exhausted. But before that, we had long hours of breathing together and listening to the oxytocin bubble and the labouring background track and it was absolutely amazing. The most fusional experience we ever experienced. I loved going through all this with Poppy's voice in my ears.
