This company came to inspect my vehicle after I suffered a timing chain issue, resulting in catastrophic engine failure.
My finance company, who originally told me to get my own report, said despite me having the car over 6 months, they would now send this company out. Now I know why. I should have had my own report done, it would have been thorough and lasted longer than eight minutes, I’m sure.
The guy eventually managed to pop the hood of my vehicle at 11.20 and by 11.28 he had done his inspection, had a chat and was back in his van.
He did no thorough inspection of the vehicle at all.
He also claimed on his report, to have attempted to start my vehicle, he never even sat in my car and it’s a stop start engine, so not sure how he engaged the clutch to try and turn the car over. I have this on CCTV. The report he produced states false information about his actions, to assist him in coming to this conclusion.
He also claimed i had had the car a substantial amount of time, id had it 28 weeks and the car is now not fit for purpose. He also explained to me it could be how I drove the car, that caused the damage. Seriously. I did the school run and my work commute in it 🙄
On the report he also discussed my buying process and what steps I should have followed and that the fault is well documented, as if I should know this would happen.
Also, I’m not sure how 20 seconds under the car, a quick oil check and a diagnostic check reaches such big conclusions, all in under 8 minutes. Allowing the finance company to shirk their liability. I have reported this company to the ombudsman, along with my finance company and have also supplied the CCTV evidence.
You can see by the response to other comments below, just how unprofessional this company actually is. I welcome the response to be honest. Also,I leave both good and bad reviews.
Be interesting to see how professional they remain when I go as far as I can with my CCTV and their report.
I am now arranging my own independent report of the vehicle.
I believe this company supports whoever is paying them.

As many other reviews have said. They work for who pay them. “Wear and Tear” on a vehicle that has been correctly serviced, and had just had a service prior to fault. A vehicle that’s covered less than 60k miles. Yea. I don’t buy it. If ur finance company offers to have these guys come out to inspect ur vehicle kindly hire someone yourself. Dont let the prospect of saving a few bucks get to your head, as their inspections could be done by a child with a diagnostics tool. They inspect nothing, and just throw wild shots into the dark to please the companies that hire them.
Absolute joke of a company and the owner should be ashamed of himself.

My experience with this company is not good at all,
They was sent out by finance company to check my cars damages what was done by garage, after inspection report I was surprised that they didn’t write down all damages for Finance company but instead they said that there is only one bad repair and another damages they couldn’t see.
I sent all evidence my self for Finance company before and after inspection but they ignored all my pictures of damages, because they accepted only IVIS checks….

Damages by UK TRADE CENTRE garage was both front wings - was poor repair (paint work)
Both side skirts - was poor rapair (paint work)
Rear Boot lid with wing- was repaired and painted (again was poor finish)
Front bonnet - was scratched
Front bumper - was scratched
Was quoted by different body work garage £5500 to get everything back to high standard,
But after inspection he reported that only both front wings are in poor finish
And everything else is fine and he didn’t see nothing there
Cluch pedal was sticking straight away after car was bought from UK TRADE CENTRE,
But they refuse that there is any issue ( I have videos from every single time when and how cluch was stuck )
Your garage inspection and report was that everything works perfectly ( test drive was done not more then 2 min)and all evidence from video I showed to your guy and he said that he now exactly what wrong there.
But still reported that everything works perfectly… and don’t have anything wrong there

If you can’t do proper inspection in rainy day then why you send full report that everything is good apart front wings?????? Should come back next day and do checks if rain is your issue…..

UPDATE – October 24
The Financial Ombudsman ruled in my favor, finding there was an issue with the car at the point of sale. I was awarded £4,000 (monthly payment refund + compensation + interest), and a £3,000 repair was covered. Additionally, I canceled my warranty and received a £1,500 refund. Overall, this issue has resulted in over £8,000 in losses, which I believe could have been avoided with better management.
Background
I purchased a 2020 Range Rover Evoque from Big Motoring World with under 17,000 miles. At the time of purchase, I also bought a warranty from Warranties2000.
Less than nine months later, my DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) failed. Given that DPFs are typically expected to last around 100,000 miles, I believed this should have been covered under the warranty.
An inspection was carried out by IVIS Ltd, which concluded that the issue would not have been present at inception. The assessment was based on soot found on the tailpipe, which I personally do not believe is a definitive way to determine when the fault began. After researching similar cases and expert opinions, I found that soot deposits alone cannot reliably determine when a DPF issue started.
Despite my concerns, my claim was rejected. I reached out to Warranties2000 for further clarification, but my emails and follow-ups went unanswered.
Concerns About Inspection & Response
From my own research and experience, I do not believe IVIS provided sufficient evidence to justify their conclusion. I would welcome a clear, detailed explanation outlining the specific reasoning and evidence behind their assessment.
I have also read other customer experiences with similar disputes, where complaints were escalated to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), sometimes with different outcomes. Based on my own case and past rulings, I would recommend that others challenge rejections if they do not receive clear evidence supporting the decision.
Industry-Wide Issues
It’s worth noting that JLR is currently facing a £3 billion class action lawsuit related to DPF issues in some of their vehicles. Additionally, Big Motoring World sold my diesel vehicle with only 5,006 miles over three years, whereas JLR themselves recommend diesel vehicles only for drivers covering 12,000+ miles per year.
Final Thoughts & Advice
If you are in a similar situation:
• Ask for detailed evidence supporting any claim rejection.
• Seek legal advice or escalate your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) if necessary.
• Research past Ombudsman cases, as some have ruled against companies in similar disputes.

after having disputes with my finance company over a car they sent this company in to do an inspection. after 3 health checks ( 1 from Halfords & 2 from Ford ) they stated my car did have faults on dashboard but not to be relied upon ....... the car had faulty adapted head lights, faulty parking sensors, faulty lane assist, rattling under the car, faulty puddle lamp on wing mirror to which they said the car was satisfactory sold at point of sale and they didnt even take the car for a test drive as they said they could see nothing wrong with the rattling ..... my complaint was closed.
i called a company called Elite Inspections who ripped this report apart and also found 8 other DTC fault codes, low disc brakes, brake fluid leak to which they didnt even find on their report.
WOULD NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH A SKATE BOARD NEVER MIND A MOTOR VEHICLE AS THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT AND WILL BE SEEING THEM VERY SOON .............

I called into IVS yesterday15th Nov 23 having been recommended by another garage, my daughters VW Golf had a leaking water pump Mark and his mechanic were very busy but managed to fit me in the job was done in a very timely fashion and the price charged was very fair. They are very honest and good at their job i would absolutely recommend this garage too anyone
Great from start to finish. I spoke to Hannah and stressed the importance of having my car inspected so the problem wouldn't become a lot worse than it currently was. The lead time is normally 48 hours but Hannah turned this around in just over 12 hours. Ian the inspector was very friendly and professional. Great company and special thanks to Hannah.

My bonnet sensor detonated, whilst in motion and with no impact. The dealership said I’d been hit and to go through insurance. Something didn’t sit right so I sought a second opinion, they said it was a fault. Got absolutely no where with the dealership and manufacturer. Had some legal advice, they advised to have an independent inspection done. First company didn’t show. Booked I-Vis and they were fantastic from start to finish. Spoke with Josh on the phone first, who was realistic and explained the possible outcomes. Inspection day went without a hitch, brilliant communication. Josh explained it was in fact a fault as the car hadn’t sustained any damage. Report emailed the next day. The matter is still ongoing but to have this report confirming it’s the car and not me is so reassuring. Josh has kept in touch for updates, which I consider to be above and beyond. I’d 100% recommend I-Vis, excellent service in a very stressful time.
Hi I had a coolant leak on my car, which I was disputing the repairs, after breaking down after the first repair were completed. As I was still concerned, that the Garage was at fault, I rang IVIS Ltd who did a independent inspection after the garage said they were not at fault. Even after having discussed with my finance company, I still had to prove there was fault with Garage repairs. IVIS did the report which showed up faults. This supported me to challenge the garage. This resulted in the garage having to admit responsibility. If I had not done this I would have been paying an extra £2300 when the fault was not mine. Use IVIS if you know something feels not right. I rang this company to arrange for an engineer to come and inspect my vehicle following an insurance repair job I was not satisfied with. An engineer attended my home the next day to carry out the inspection and agreed with my concerns aswell as highlighting furthur areas he did not consider repairs to be up to standard that I otherwise would have missed.
A detailed report was emailed to me the same day after payment and enabled me to send a professionals opinion on the repairs directly to my insurance company to encourage them to rectify this, of which they did. Very happy with the service provided.
