Does not bother replying to customers

We moved into our new build on 27th December 2025. Shortly after moving in I registered our water with ICOSA.
I called ICOSA today requesting for 2 things: Add my wife's name and also send us a bill or any document or letter bearing both names. ICOSA agent said they can't give us anything because they are yet to verify our building. I asked how soon will the verification be completed and he said he can't say.
We need this written document with both names as both proof of union and proof of residence. It is for official purposes and it is urgent.
We are frustrated!
This review can be broken down into two main points:Firstly, a positive note: the customer service representative I spoke with over the phone was incredibly friendly and assisted me well.On the downside, the letter I received after setting up my recent direct debit could use some clarification. The initial part misleadingly suggests that I owe more than is accurate, indicating that I'm being charged for something I haven't utilized within the year. I only pay for what I've actually used, and I do so when it's financially feasible for me.
To begin with, the lady in customer service was incredibly supportive and delightful. Our developer insisted on Icosa & IWN, assuring us that their rates would match those of our former providers. Over four months, our combined water and sewerage costs average around £60 monthly, while we used to pay £21 with Severn Trent & Yorkshire. Although Icosa mentioned a recent price hike of over 20% to align with other suppliers, the system seems flawed. It's frustrating that we can't file a complaint with OFWAT or switch providers. It's vital for this system to align with other utilities.
Absolute scammers, this company was forced on us by the developers and they are demanding we pay £ 300 a MONTH for a 2 person household, absolute disgrace and need to be investigated by Trading Standards
Firstly the customer service woman was very helpful and pleasant.
Like a previous review we have had Icosa & IWN forced on us by a developer who said " pricing would be similar to our previous suppliers".
Combined price, water & sewerage, over a 4 month period works out at £60ish a month, our previous suppliers Severn Trent & Yorkshire was £21 per month. Icosa said that their pricing had just increased by 20 something percent inline with other suppliers but something is wrong with the system.
We cannot even complain to OFWAT now or swop suppliers. This system must change and be brought into line with other utilities.
We had icosa forced on us from the developer Kellen homes when we moved into our new build. My water bill at my previous property (same size) was only around £30 a month with United utilities. Icosa demand £68!
These companies need regulating and we should have the option to shop around for a better deal. Water should not be this expensive ... only in rip-off Britain.
There was two parts to this review:
1) good: the customer service on the phone (or at least the lady i spoke to) was very nice and helpful.
2) not so good: the letter i got since i arranged my recent direct debit seriously needs re-wording as the first section implies i owe more than should when in fact it's seems to think i should be paying for something i haven't yet used within the year - i only pay the amount of which i have actually used, when i can afford to do so without being left out of pocket.
