I had my DHI hair transplant done at IdealofMeD about 8 months ago and I’m super happy with how everything came out. I’m a female patient, so I was nervous about getting a hairline that looked too obvious or unnatural, but Dr. Demirel and the team did an amazing job. They transplanted around 3000 grafts and now my hairline looks soft and natural, just as what I wanted.

The first few months were kinda slow and I was stressing a little bit, but after month 4 the growth started coming in fast. Now at 8 months the density looks sooo much better and the whole frame of my face changed in a good way. People can’t even tell I had a transplant, they just think my hair looks fuller and healthier. That’s the best part for me because I wanted something natural looking, not super fake or too sharp.

The clinic staff was nice the whole time. They answered my questions fast, checked on me after the surgery, and made me feel comfortable even though I was traveling for the procedure. The clinic was very clean and modern too, so overall the experience felt professional.

Me and my boyfriend went from Stockholm to ideal of med around 5 months ago for his hair transplant and my dental treatment. Now we are back home in Sweden again since long time and honestly we still talk about how happy we are that we did it.

My boyfriend did around 3000 grafts mostly in the frontal/hairline area with the premium package. After 5 months now the hair is growing very very nicely and already looks super natural. Before going we was nervous because you read many different things online about clinics in Turkey, but the result actually surprised us alot in a good way. His hairline fits him perfekt and now friends in Stockholm are asking him what he changed because they can see he looks fresher but they dont understand its the hair 😅
At the same time I also did E-max veneers and honestly my teeth now looks absolutley amazing compared to before. Very natural and not too white/fake which I was scared of. I smile much more now back home than before. In Stockholm the same treatment would probably have costed me crazy amounts, but here it was maybe around 25% of Swedish prices.

We stayed 6 nights total and everything during the trip worked smooth. Hotel was nice, clinic was modern and very clean and hygienic. As Swedish/Nordic patients this was important for us and it actually felt much more organised than we expected before coming.

Both on the hair transplant side and dental side. Ideal of Med really took care of us good from start until we flew back home to Stockholm again. Communication was easy, people was friendly and transfers etc all worked good.
Can honestly recommend for other Scandinavians thinking about doing hair transplant or veneers in Istanbul. Good prices also, professional people and results that already after 5 months made both me and my boyfriend happy.

I’ve been meaning to write this for a while. Now at the one year mark after my procedure at IdealofMed, both the frontal area and the crown have fully matured, and I’m honestly very happy with the result. The biggest thing for me is how natural it looks. That was my main goal going in, and IdealofMed delivered. Even up close, nothing looks obvious, it just blends in. I’m 49 and had my transplant in 2025 at IdealofMed in Istanbul with Dr. Demirel. 5200 grafts were done in a single session using FUE and DHI.

Why I Chose IdealofMed

I researched close to 20 clinics. Many looked good at first, but after digging into real patient content, not just marketing, things didn’t always match up. With IdealofMed, everything felt consistent. What I saw online, what I read in reviews, and what I experienced in person all aligned. The clinic felt modern, updated, and professionally run.

Dr. Demirel being ISHRS certified was also a big factor. I also read hundreds of reviews, and almost all (like 99%) were very positive. The few less positive ones seemed to be cases where patients were not suitable after medical screening and got pissed off, sometimes due to undisclosed conditions. From what I understood, IdealofMed chose not to proceed in those situations and referred patients elsewhere, which to me showed a strong focus on patient safety.

Clinic and Experience
From the start, everything was well organised. Airport pickup and logistics were smooth. I stayed at the Fairmont in Levent, which was very comfortable. The clinic itself stood out immediately, modern, very clean, and clearly recently refurbished. The equipment felt up to date, and the beige interior gave it a calm, almost Scandinavian feel. Hygiene standards were excellent, and the operation rooms were spacious and comfortable. Before the procedure, the doctors ran a full medical screening including around 30 blood tests plus heart related checks. That level of detail gave me a lot of confidence.

Procedure
The surgery was a long day but very well structured. The anesthesia was the only uncomfortable part, but manageable. After that, everything felt controlled and organised. The atmosphere was calm, with nature program with whales and dolphins on screen and classical music in the background. Dr. Demirel participated throughout and personally handled the hairline using DHI. That precision really shows now. The rest was completed with his nurses and him together. Despite being a large procedure, everything felt precise and well coordinated. The team was professional but also relaxed, which made the day easier.

Aftercare and Result

Follow up care was thorough, including washing, PRP, and clear instructions. They also remained available afterwards. Now at one year, the density is strong in both the front and crown, and the result looks completely natural, no visible signs of a transplant.

I’m glad I took my time choosing. IdealofMed stood out for consistency, professionalism, and medical standards.

I underwent a hair transplant (HT) six months ago arranged through Ideal of Med (IoM). I initially selected this company because it appeared legitimate and reputable based on positive reviews, and because they advertised procedures performed in a hospital setting under a doctor’s supervision with proper safety protocols.
However, my experience turned out to be very different and deeply concerning.
A few days before my scheduled procedure, I was informed that the hospital had supposedly lost its government accreditation, and that my procedure would instead take place at a clinic. Although hesitant, I agreed to proceed.
The clinic conditions were unacceptable. It appeared unsanitary and lacked basic sterilization protocols. The equipment was outdated and unclean. The procedure was carried out primarily by two technicians, and I repeatedly had to ask them to properly wear their masks, as I could feel their breath on my forehead during the procedure.
There were multiple hygiene concerns:
The gloves used were packaged in visibly aged, discolored wrapping
Adult diapers were placed under my head instead of proper medical pads
The blanket provided had visible stains and appeared unwashed
The gauze used for bandaging had strands of hair attached to it
The EKG equipment was outdated, using suction cups attached to copper bells placed directly on my skin
The doctor’s involvement was minimal—he appeared only once, midway through the procedure, and briefly asked about my heart condition.
Additionally, I was not properly informed about the anesthesia. I received approximately 30 injections across my scalp, which were extremely painful, and only later understood they contained lidocaine and adrenaline.
The procedure lasted about nine hours with only a short break. To make matters worse, there was active construction next to the clinic, causing constant noise and exposing me to dust throughout the procedure.
I had also paid for an exosome treatment to be administered the following day, but after this experience, I canceled it and requested a refund, as I no longer trusted the company’s practices or professionalism.
Further raising concerns, I later learned from the driver that other patients were still being taken to the same hospital IoM claimed had lost accreditation. This strongly suggests I was misled and redirected to a lower-standard clinic, potentially for cost-saving reasons.
Fortunately, I did not develop an infection, likely because my physician at home had placed me on a strong course of antibiotics prior to the procedure.
This account reflects my direct experience. Based on these events, I cannot recommend Ideal of Med for any medical procedure.

I had my hair transplant at IdealofMed in May 2025, about 9-10 months ago. The entire experience was great. I flew from Australia to Istanbul and everything was organised and very easy. I got picked up, dropped to my hotel. The next day I got picked up at 8am and had my prodecure which took about 7-8 hours. The doctors were extremely professional and caring. I was jet lagged and tired and they were very friendly and always checking in on me to make sure I was alright. The next day I went in for the first wash and I was surprised with how good I felt. They gave me very easy instructions to follow for the first 10 days and the steps for the next few months and expectations to follow. I am so happy with my experience at idealofmed and am thrilled with how good the transplant looks. It is a very natural look and I have had a lot of people tell me how good it looks. I would recommend idealofmed they were great before, during and after the procedure. 5 stars, thank you idealofmed for restoring my confidence. I feel like my ideal me!

The communication with the clinic regarding the procedure, schedule and travel was flawless. There was constant transparency and professionalism throughout while maintaining attention that was personal yet relaxed. Expectations and instructions before, during and after procedure were precise, clear and real.
The design of the hairline was very quick which made me doubtful at first but this was the ideal and correct hairline. Because of the consistent communication I was never under stress or anxiety during the recovery period. My mental health, self-confidence and confidence was improved drastically post operation. There was also never a moment during which I doubted the legitimacy and professionalism of the clinic, the staff and equipment. Having done extensive research on other experiences with other clinics and horror stories, I was incredibly happy and comfortable with IdealofMed.

MY HAIR/BEARD TRANSPLANT WAS A DISASTER!

Surgery 27-4-2022: Got more hairs from donor area than expected (3700 grafts/10,000 hairs). Great!

RIPOFF! They said DOCTORS would "perform" (not "supervise") surgery: extraction, channel opening & implantation. I discovered on surgery day, women doing implantation were NOT DOCTORS!

SURGERY WAS A JOKE - NOT A STERILE ENVIRONMENT! People walked in & out of room non-stop. Technicians talked & laughed. MOBILE PHONES RANG, WERE ANSWERED & PUT ON SPEAKER! They yelled across room to partners what time they'd be home & what to have for dinner - chaos! Interpreter meant to be in room at ALL TIMES. He sat there bored then left. When I asked for interpreter the ladies said "not here". Instead of getting him, I waited 90 mins before he returned. I had questions for ladies doing surgery.

I followed aftercare procedures meticulously. For first few mths after surgery, I sent photos. They told me it looked healthy & clean.

I was promised WhatsApp consultations after 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 12 & 18 mths. After first 6 mths, I never heard from these guys again. Even in first 6 mths, they seldom contacted me. It was usually ME contacting THEM several days after surgery anniversary.

Had small patch of beard missing. They implanted 700 hairs but used hair from my head. Bald spot didn't receive 10,000 hairs - only 9300. I now have fine head hair in my coarse beard. They charged €750 just for anaesthetic required in face. RIP OFF!

Lovely hotel but no minibar in transfer car as advertised. I did not get what I paid for including follow-up consultations. They TOOK MY CASH & RAN!

They said wait 18 mths to see full results. I emailed photos after 19 mths & they vowed to reply within 72 hrs.

Never heard a word for OVER 2 MONTHS until I posted Trustpilot review. Then they emailed WITHIN 2 DAYS!

THEN THINGS GOT NASTY!

I asked to speak to Head Office in Sweden. They refused, but eventually gave in to my insistence.

I spoke on WhatsApp to one of the directors. Let's call him "D1" (he's completely bald). He talked & talked, trying to "tick all the right boxes". I live in Australia. Told him I'd be in Sweden in May 2024 for 9 days.

He made me FIRST OFFER - fly me from Sweden to Turkey, give me hotel & FREE corrective surgery. But there was a condition: DELETE THIS REVIEW!

Told him I didn't want to delete my honest, fair review. He EXPLODED & went BERZERK!

He yelled that I was impossible to deal with & they didn't want me in Turkey.

2ND OFFER: 100% refund IF I REMOVED THIS REVIEW! Again, I said it should stay online.

D1 still FURIOUS, a 3RD OFFER: 50% refund (€1545), THEN IF I REMOVED REVIEW, they'd refund other 50%. I actually AGREED to this.

After chatting 42 mins, D1 said he'd talk to the other 2 directors.

NEXT DAY: UTTER CHAOS & CONFUSION!

D1 claimed surgery was OUTSOURCED TO ANOTHER CLINIC, therefore my legal contract was with other clinic. I thought my surgery was done by IOM.

He also claimed I denied "Istanbul Manager" was present during my surgery. I never denied that! Apart from him being present, so was "Interpreter" until he left the room.

4TH OFFER: Despite AGREEING to their 3rd offer, they were now offering ONLY A 50% REFUND! They'd refund my deposit (€300), then IF I DELETED REVIEW, they'd refund other €1245. I explained if they only refunded 50%, I WOULD NOT DELETE REVIEW.

D1 again lost his temper & hung up on me.

From that moment, I only dealt with "Istanbul Manager". Options:

- Free corrective surgery but pay MY OWN airfares, hotel, visa & transfers. (5th OFFER)

- Or 50% refund IF I DELETED REVIEW.

I opted for 50% refund but told them I was disappointed not to get FULL refund.

I kept asking for contact details for other 2 directors. I only got silence. They can read this review online.

SO WHY DID I RE-POST MY REVIEW?

The removal request from IOM was against the rules of Trustpilot and totally unethical. I have reported IOM to every known authority in Turkey.

If I could attach photos or answer questions here, I would.

After 21 mths, I have maybe 10% of desired hair coverage.

In FAIRNESS, if this DODGY CLINIC refunds the other 50%, I will update this review. If you are reading this, I am STILL out of pocket €1545 + €1200 airfares.

I want to briefly share my journey to Turkey to fix my teeth. Dental treatment in Sweden is very expensive, so after a lot of research I decided to travel to Turkey and chose a clinic called IdealofMeD

From start to finish, everything was very professional and well organized. The clinic was modern, the staff were skilled and caring, and I felt safe throughout the entire process.

The cost was much lower than in Sweden, but the quality exceeded my expectations.
