I am so disappointed. I have contacted them via SHOP and also via their email address - as my camera doesn't work. I think this is absolutely appalling and no one should even contemplate buying from them. If I get my refund I will remove this post - but I don't think I will.

Camera arrived as advertised and seems to work OK, however the small instruction leaflet is useless at setting it up, no step by step instructions, so unable to set up anything, and can’t find a manual on line and apparently ILLUMS do not supply one, at the moment unusable.

The item arrived 2 weeks after purchasing. The advert said it is a front and rear camera. There is only one camera with a bit facing backwards attached to it that only records my face and nothing behind the vehicle. The OK and M buttons don't do anything now (at first, I could set the time and date with the M button - for the good it did. The time and date reset to 01/01/2022 every single time the engine was turned off). I can't find a single thing that's been recorded. Pressing the buttons once or holding them down makes zero difference.

The fact the item arrived in a box that didn't even have the ILLUMAS brand name on it (CARDVR|VIDEO anyone?) and terribly written instructions should have been a red flag from the start, but I thought it was worth a try.

I've messaged the website and sent an email asking for refund/return details, but looking at this page, I'm not holding out much hope for a quick resolution.

Very disappointing experience for my first dash cam attempt.

Customer service is non existent! Do not purchase I have been emailing for over 1 month and they have not responded at all! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I recently purchased a dash cam, but unfortunately it was faulty. I contacted customer service, however I received no communication regarding my issue and did not receive a refund. Overall, I was disappointed with the lack of customer support and after-sales service.
Avoid using this company

Horrendous customer service. Have bought 4 of these dash cams. Two work fine other two don’t work. Have emailed to ask to return and no reply. Do not buy from this company. Complete waste of money.

Absolutely awful!

I have been using my dash cam for a while now and I cannot express how disappointed I am.
When I first checked the video it had been saving files in a sped up format that I was unable to slow down into real time. I tried the camera again and it isn't saving any recorded footage at all which I've found out now that I actually need the footage which isn't there.
The SD card provided with the camera does not work and won't even reformat.

Also getting no reply from customer service so I think it will be going In the bin and I will have just lost the money.

So disappointed

I ordered an Illumas dash camera and received CARDVR/Video+64GB.
emailed Illumas shop twice requesting what I ordered and paid for, still waiting for a reply.
Delivery was over the time.
Wouldn’t use this company sgain

This company is a complete scam. Like many others I asked to return the dash cam but after first asking me why and receiving my reply they have totally ignore me. They appear to be connected to a company called SHOP, another scam company. Terrible company, need investigating

Camera has packed up after five weeks and still no response to my emails. Suddenly I have had to start plugging it in to reactivate it ,but it switches itself off again.

Bought the dash cam with rear camera & SD card. Realised after a few weeks that it doesn’t stay on whilst plugged in. Have to keep pulling it out & pushing it back in. Not really what you need to be concentrating on whilst driving. It’s definitely not the port as plugged the old one back in, & it’s fine.
Contacted customer services & waited about a week for someone to respond to my email. When they did, they asked me a ridiculous question (is this happening when it’s plugged in, or not?) I mean, obviously I wouldn’t expect it to be on if wasn’t plugged in. I’ve responded to that email, sent appropriately 4 more, & haven’t heard a peep from them.
Customer service is an absolute joke!
Gone over the 30 day return window now, so guess that’s my 50 odd quid down the drain!
Probably what they were waiting for 😡

Dash cams stop working and despite several emails no solution.

I ordered this product because it records front and back whereas my old camera only records the front view.
It arrived and I placed it in the vehicle. It worked for one single day and packed up. I contacted them and after a while I had an email from them offering to replace it. It has been over a month now, and despite numerous emails, there is no replacement and I am left out of pocket with a useless product.
Extremely poor customer service. Wish I had seen these other reviews before I wasted my hard earned money on this product!

Dashcam - Would give zero stars if able!
Appalling company. Instructions may as well be in Chinese for the use they are. The menu options do not match the instructions at all. Rear camera useless. They ignored my emails, then fobbed me off before finally offering to send video instructions which they never sent. Pure delay tactics so I could not then claim via paypal as outside the time limit 😡

I ordered a car CAD cam @ £49.99 on Facebook, as the advert boasted fantastic reviews on Trustpilot, which I checked out after I had made the purchase. To my horror, I find I made a big mistake and immediately ask to cancel the order in reply to their email. Thanks for your order. That email, plus a few others, later got absolutely no replies, and I received the package 14 days later. Apart from the stress, I find this company is a complete scam type set-up, without morals, as their cancellation policy definitely is designed not to work

I purchased this Dashcam because it was supposed to be all singing and dancing...
Unfortunately that was not the case so I requested to return it for a full refund.
What a joke that is, they deduct money because you opened the box, moneys deducted for restocking the item and money deducted if its been looked at.
To top it all you have to pay for it returning and it has to be tracked.
Full refund is a load of rubbish.
Do not buy from this company as its just a big rip off.

Bought these dashcams were not as described was told I couldn't have a refund said they would give a partial refund not good customer service

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering my dash cam. I've paid somebody to fit it and although it says it comes with an SD card, it doesn't or it hasn't. As far as quality goes, I'm yet to find out how good this works on the advert. It looked quite impressive but I've yet to find out where can I get a SD card?

Do not buy from this company. Im trying to return 2 dashcans costing £80 - after 1 initial acknowledgement from them, I have emailed them a further 3 times and they have not responded.
I will be reporting them to trading standards
