Il Makiage is most definitely a scam company and tomorrow, I shall be reporting them to Trading Standards! If this doesn't work, I shall approach a TV company or a national paper. I waited until my rage subsided before writing this, so that I didn't ramble. They are crooks who pretend that the customer can go in and cancel their subscriptions. You cannot communicate with this sham company. My bank is now raising a dispute against them. If you order even one small thing from this company and you have read this....you will only have yourself to blame! DON'T DO IT!

I would give a zero if I could.
I purchased a few items maybe 3 mths ago and just opened them. 2 had been used and nearly empty. I contacted IL MAKIAGE straight away and because it’s out of the 28 days they absolutely refuse to replace them. I don’t wear makeup often, that’s why I never opened it straight away, I was waiting for a friends wedding.

I’m on a Disability Pension and can’t afford to buy more when I had bought these.

IL MAKIAGE, do something about this. I’m really not happy. 😡😡

If I could give a minus star I would. Apart from the fact that the product is awful I immediately tried to cancel my subscription. I could not log in to my account. I then emailed the company who said I did not have an active subscription in place. No surprises when a month later I was charged £40. I emailed again and was told that was because I didn’t send the first ‘sample’ back. Reluctantly I accepted that fact however they again confirmed, in writing that I had no subscription in place..so guess what, this week I have been charged again. There is no way to speak to anyone verbally and all emails are meet with an offer for more product at a discounted rate. Time for trading standards I think.

Horrible experiencia, literalmente.
Lo primero enviaron el pedido y bien, el tono estaba muy amarillo y oscuro , pero lo dejé porque iban con dos regalos que me gustaron. Pero de repente me cobraron 39€ y he pedido que lo cancelen porque no me va el color , pues han cancelado la reposición con un tono todavía mas oscuro ( imposible elegir el color correcto por las fotos que manden) pero ya no han devuelto el dinero, en lugar de dinero enviaron un código que no funciona y después dicen lo sienten. Mi consejo mejor no entrar a esa página.

1. A full refund of $138.40 without delay.
2. Immediate cancellation of any active subscriptions associated with my name, email, or payment details.
3. Removal and deletion of any payment tokens or bank account connections linked to your system.
4. Written confirmation once these actions have been completed.

Please treat this matter with urgency. If I do not receive a prompt response and resolution, I will escalate this dispute through my bank and relevant consumer protection authorities.

Please do not buy anything from this company!! You will regret it. I have been trying to contact customer service for weeks. Sent multiple emails, and never receive any response. I haven't been able to access my account in order to cancel my subscription. When I attempt to log in using my password, I'm redirected to a page that says I've been blocked by the page owner. When I try to log in by having a link sent to my email, nothing ever arrives. This is ridiculous.

Mi sono imbattuta in una pubblicità sui social, ti dava la possibilità di fare un test per capire la colorazione, a fine test c è la dicitura prova il nostro prodotto e paga solo la spedizione.
Mi sono detta va beh lo provo, in nessuna delle pagine dove ho messo i dati c era il prezzo del fondotinta, la transazione di paypal mi chiedeva solo 5,95 e quindi ho proseguito.
Solo dopo mi è arrivata la mail di pre addebito di 49.95.
Li ho subito contattati per annullare tutto mi è stato detto che l ordine era stato gia preparato.
Dopo 1 minuto?
Ricordo ai signori che le regole per la vendita a distanza sono chiare.
Trasparenza chiarezza e la possibilità di esercitare il diritto di ripensamento, cosa che mi è stata negato.
Hanno ancora tempo, altrimenti non mi fermo.

The product is good but I never signed up for a subscription and when I try to cancel I get the same question which I have answered multiple times . I will not purchase from this company again

This company is a scam !!!! They take unauthorized payments will not cancel will not respond to emails and are operating illegally in everyway !!!! Do no not click on any links in emails or even read the emails.....do not subscribe

As many people have reported on here, ilmakiage is a suspect company. I also signed up for the try before you buy offer as it is not a cheap product and a trial would be great, however they have charged me the postage amount and another £66 which I can't work out what it is for. If the product was good I would have willingly paid for more. Now I think they are a scam I've been put off totally. Makes me so angry with people who think a good living is at the expense of good, hard working people.

Still waiting for replies to my emails for refunds of £132.00 in total taken by these scamsters whilst I was trying to get the trial products. Unable to log into my Il muckiage account because no link is sent. Disgraceful given they are owned by a tech company:( !! No way can this be legal and I ask again - RETURN MY MONEY!! Only the trial products received so this is theft of my cash. I have reported your conduct to the relevant parties.

Good match with skin tone this was the first time in 25 year's i decided to try something new because they said try without buy for 30 days but they saved my card for auto-replenishment which means sending me stuff within a certain time frame without permission, trying to change my payment information isn't straight forward takes emails you cant just do it through your account and they also took my money before the 30 day trying without buying. They took my money in 3 days which was inconvenient because my payday is in that time frame but they took it earlier than stated which left me low on money for the month.
Whole process of payments isn't what is advertised. Im going back to my old makeup company. After a whole day of going back and forth with a customer service representative. They have made it sound easy to use their system
You CAN'T REMOVE CARD DETAILS OR DELETE THE ACCOUNT easily now I sit in anxiety for the month wondering will I be charged again. Plus took my money this is straight up false advertising trying to get you under false pretence and making it hard to leave to keep you as a customer 😒

Funny company

I use a "Curve" fronting debit card which is quite lucky in this case. I was trying to sign up for the "try it free" offer on foundation, but had the wrong card selected in my Curve wallet, so although there was enough for the £4.95 postage, there wasnt enough on that card for the "temporary hold" of £79 they were also trying to take. They tried to do this temporary hold transaction 7 times, and they kept declining which was fine by me - but I thought very fishy that they kept trying to process it.

Funnily enough, I got a phone call the next day "from my bank - Curve" - Curve never call you, and they arent a bank, so I knew instantly it was a scam. They called me by my maiden name (as I'd inputted into the Il Makiage website, rather than my married name, which all my bank/cards are in. Also noted by billing address, which was the delivery address I'd used on their site, and IS NOT my home address 😂 Tried to get me to log into the app to "apply for a £2500 refund of a temporary hold" which would clearly just be me just approving a payment for £2500. Be VERY careful entering your card details into these websites!!

Only giving 1 star as there’s no zero option! As others have said this is a scam company which is why Trustpilot have deemed them as poor! I paid £4.95 postage & packing for a ‘free’ sample but they also took £64 from my PayPal account. Unfortunately, I had no help getting a refund from PayPal so I have cancelled my account with them. Thankfully the Halifax have sorted this for me. Please don’t buy from this dreadful company, they’re a disgrace!!! P.s. the sample I received was sh*t!!!

Wrong colour arrived, they exchange for a better match and sent it without telling me that I would have to pay even if it doesn’t match again. The second colour was worse! Basically then told me that I have to pay as you’ve had an exchange! What an absolute con! Nothing was ever mentioned in my email about this. Looking at the reviews I can see this is a regular happening. How on is this allowed!!!!

I would give this company a zero if I could….as others who have written a review I ordered the try before you buy for £4.95 postage only.

They took the £4.95 immediately and then took a further £81 for the order if I decided to keep it. I contacted them immediately and they told me they had not taken the money, they had put it on a temporary authorisation…..it was still my money……….

Sorry but it wasn’t, it was held on my bank, I could not touch, use or alter the hold on my money. I was told by the company they would release the authorisation within four days………well surprise…..that did not happen!

Many emails later explaining I was a pensioner, on my own and that their actions of holding the £81 meant I could not cover bills coming out over the next 48 hours they said the would give me a refund……….shall we back up here? How can you give me refund if as stated you do not have my money? They informed me the ‘refund’would take up to 10 days !!

Thank goodness I had used PayPal…….i contacted them and explained the whole thing. They were on it immediately……secured my account, help me change my personal details and explained they had found this was an unauthorised transaction…they had discovered that the company had also attached a monthly subscription to my account without my knowledge or authorisation. This was immediately cancelled.

I now have my £81 back……thanks to PayPal……within 24 hours. The original £4.95 for being fooled by them was not refunded.

Please do not order from these people they pretend they are your friend and want to help, they address emails ‘Hi Love’ ……. That was what alerted me that this was not genuine…….I was lucky as I had the support of PayPal.

I placed an order for 3 full size products “try before you buy” where they assure you that you can try the products FREE for 14 days and ONLY pay shipping but this is NOT correct. They charged me £4.99 for delivery and then £108.00. The £108.00 has been a “pending”charge for 7 days now, when I contacted customer services they assured me the maximum time the £108.00 pending charge would be held for was 4 days, this is not the case. I was given false information and now I have sent 2 more emails asking why my money has not been returned and no one has replied. I will not be making anymore purchases from them. Unhelpful and false advertising.

Not happy
When I ordered it was for a tester so I could try before i buy . They kept offering stuff and you need to decline on every stage which I did do.
On checking my bank the full amount for a full size has been taken out .. Not impressed at all !! it has left me without enough money now. I can’t find a way to contact them …I can’t do anything about it as my bank is shut for customer services as it the evening so frustrating … I’ll come back with how I got on after calling them etc .. many thanks louise

I ordered the color correcting product about a month ago. I’ve received nothing. Why do you keep doing this to me?
