I bought the wrong product, online version instead of MAC version. I spent weeks trying to speak to a person, I emailed, I left messages, but no-one responded. Shame because I have used product for over ten years and used to be good.

I filed my taxes months ago and figured everything for be fine. I was told returns in my account in 14 days, that turned into 21 days, turned into over a month before my money was not direct deposited into, a thing I paid nearly $200 after I basic filed everything then at the last screen was forced to after they greyed out the free filing option right at the end, a move that should be illegal, but instead given to some other company, TPG, that then claimed they sent it to my bank but the deposit was rejected, a thing my bank has no record of, and that they sent it as a cashier's check. When I notified Turbo tax they basically told me it wasn't their problem, though of course in a very round about way. TPG basically is unreachable, and after a month of waiting for this magical cashier's check that disappeared into the void, I think it was never sent, I'm told my only option is to either have then resend the check that I still think never happened, or let them send my return back to the IRS and they won't tell me how to claim my money at that point. Four calls to Turbotax throughout this whole thing and well, they not only aren't helpful, but tell me I have to jump through hoops to request a refund on the so called "Deluxe" service I paid for. How very "Deluxe" waiting months to not get my money and get told repeatedly every one of their screw ups is my problem to laboriously fix. I will never use them again and will post this review every place I can which funny enough, their own website has reviews, but no wait for users to leave a review.... Mmm, how very misleadingly shady...

This company will have your identity stolen and charge you to do a simple tax form

They are the worst company I've ever dealt with. The customer service hung up on me twice after holding for 30 minutes. They stole my money for both 2019 and 2020. I ended up having to file with liberty tax for both those years. Why are they allowed to do this to people?

My son used my bank for his refund and pay tur o tax fees 265.00 they were take. Out whe. He filed and July 2 I got charged 265.00 and I did not Authorize turbo tax so I'm pissed. Going to fe with Bbb

When the IRS failed to issue my return on time, Turbotax sent me notice that they would be charging my account for the services I opted to have charged to my tax return. This is extremely predatory behavior and I will neither use nor recommend this service in the future.

TurboTax is the ABSOLUTE WORST !!!!!!!! Worst decision I made was to use TurboTax to file my taxes !!!!!!! They DO NOT help you at ALL and I paid almost as much as I did when I used H&R Block!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s been over 4 months now and I still haven’t received ANY updated info on my tax return !!!! When I tried to contact customer support they didn’t even know how to help me (FYI I tried MULTIPLE times to contact customer service) !!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTE TRASH !!!!!!!!!!! Will NEVER EVER use TurboTax again !!!!!!!!!!!!! If there was a 0 Star that’s what I would rate them !!!!!!! Save your money, your time and Countless stress and headaches and file your taxes somewhere else !!!!!!!!!! You’ll Thank Me Later !!!!!!!!!!!!!

For 100% of the questions I posed using the additional chat service that I paid for, I was told to contact customer service. Dannae in particular is the worst 'tax specialist'. Her chat had typos that made our conversation feel callous and I felt I was nothing more than a ticket she wanted to close in a hurry. And when I brought this up up with her, she ended the chat. I'm done with these guys.

I started out with turbo tax free edition. My tax documents consisted of 5 W2s for both my wife and myself, 3 109Xs for social security and my wife’s stint substituting at the local district and a small negative number from my wife’s Mary Kay work. Long story made short, by the time I was done, I owed Intuit roughly $240 consisting of 3 cost increases one of which was not disclosed until I saw the receipt. I’ve used TurboTax for decades, but would I ever do it again? Not likely. And, the IRS should remove them from the approved “free tax” list.

after paying $170 to file federal plus two state forms, I had a simple question about weather to staple my w2 and 1099 to the tax forms. the instructions said to attach them but no staples or paperclips. but did not say how to attach them.
when I called to ask the "expert" I was told she didn't know and if I wanted to talk to someone who did know I would have to upgrade for an additional $110. just to find out if I should staple the w2 to the form or not.

I call about them trying charge me for something that i don't need. they say you don't need it so i will put you on hold to check this for u. i'm then on hold for over 20 minutes, they then hang up and now won't allow me to talk to a specialist. before it was free to chat and now they have blocked me essentially. trash company, hope it fails

I did a live chat with turbo rep to fill out paperwok for tax returns with no problem. I paid my fee of 125 for this service.when it came tine to sign and file my return it woulnt allow me to do so. After talking to 2 reps on two different occassios (for a total of 3 hours) still unable to resolve problem. Then spoke to two reps on 2 different occasions to get my fee refunded. Finally informed there would be NO REFUND even though i cant file my taxes DON'T USE TURBO TAX !!!!! HAD TO GO TO ANOTHER TAX FIRM TO GET MY TAXES DONE.

Turbo Tax has truly gone down the toilet. They should not have tried to hold such a large role in third-party government assistance if they could not handle it correctly. Their online customer service is pure trash and doesn't want to speak to an actual human cause you'll be on hold for hours. I filed my Taxes in March and it is now May and I have not heard anything. I have tried contacting TurboTax and the IRS and nothing. I will be filing elsewhere in the future.

I've used Turbo Tax for several years. Last year there were mistakes on my return and it's very difficult to actually speak to a live human. I believe Turbo Tax is not worth the money. It's an average price of about $150.00. Next year I'm going to either do it myself or use a tax company which actually doesn't charge much more than Turbo Tax.

TURBO TAX is to expensive have used them for years they were good now they take the amt to file taxes even though you don't agree to it. I.I'm done with them cost me $120 plus tax this year rediculous!!!

I am giving them 3 stars only because when I finally got to the site that was the free one it was really easy. Until I needed some help. Which was my fault in choosing the wrong item. Which led me to have to call. Suprisingly the wait wasn't long and the AI got me to a real person who then said yes we can help with that. I will get someone for you. Then I got the let us call you back. When I got the call back it was when I realized I made the mistake. The guy was easy to talk to and made some suggestions. But when I tried to back out of my answers I couldn't. Then I had another problem. After about 20 min trying to make a small correction I gave up, I will retry tomorrow. My beef is they advertize a free version. But it isn't. It tries to charge everyone. If you google turbo tax scroll through until you see Here's how Turbo Tax Just Tricked you into paying to... Very interesting read. It also tells you how to find the correct link to have your taxes done for free. Really.

Don't use turbo tax they stole all my tax money. WHen I called they said that everything was good with my case but I have not recieved anything from them.

The free version cost me $220
$120 minimum, $60 for them to represent you, $40 fees if you choose to pay using the money from your return.
Was costing me less to use an accountant and I wouldn't had to spent several hours figuring out by myself all the information I had to provide.

I also have had rejected returns. The IRS says I owe $35, I filed with TurboTax and was supposed to get a $900 return. ??? I have no deductions. Just short form with two part time employers income. I paid for the service!!! TurboTax Debit card is horrible. The customer service is in India and the language barrier is formidable at times. They gave me incorrect information 5 times and there is no resolution and no American office to have a conversation with. Internet banking is only for the pushover type person. There is nothing smart about doing business with this company. I feel so bamboozeled by this company. I quit. Going back a brick n mortar financial institution. A credit union perhaps? STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING INTUIT! You have been warned.
