From me getting to my appointment…
From me getting to my appointment filled with fear to seeing the receptionist as I walked in the lady put me at ease straight away l was then collected by the nurse who again was excellent and she informed me of the procedure l then waited 10 minutes to have my colonoscopy then I was introduced to everyone by the doctor who again put me at ease throughout my time with inhealth, l would like to thank everyone on that day as I informed them of my fear of having this procedure done and made me so unafraid thank you for being so caring and supportive.
Paid for a MRI scan for brain
Paid for a MRI scan for brain, very good price, scan Saturday and results on Tuesday. Would have waited months on NHS. Efficient, polite, convenient. Would highly recommend.
Roseberry Medical Loughborugh (InHealth)
Went to the Roseberry Medical Centre in Loughborough for a flu jab, after being ignored by the receptionist, who seemed to be engrossed in her computer rather than being inconvenienced by pesky enquiries (yes this is the receptionist :) ) I was told that these are in the Pharmacy located in the same building. Asked if I could use the toilets, was told by the receptionist that these were for patients only. So much for caring and compassion. The NHS should have nothing to do with this bunch. Pretty much a joke outfit based on that interaction.
I was referred for an MRI scan
I was referred for an MRI scan. I tried calling the department over 3 weeks about this but no one ever answered, the voicemail says leave a message and someone will get back to you but no one did. They didn’t even get back to me when I sent a couple of emails.
I had an aortic valve ultrasound…
I had an aortic valve ultrasound performed by this company, it was so painful that after 10 minutes I had to ask the technician to stop the procedure. I suffered acute pain when coughing or sneezing after the procedure and 10 days on I had to consult my doctor who diagnosed an intercostal muscle tear. The leaflet that I received prior to the ultrasound said it would be painless. Avoid this company.
Another outsourced failed NHS service
Appalling from start to finish. Don’t call back when they say they will to rearrange appointments after cancelling on you. Then send texts to tell you they will cancel and you will need to visit GP again because they haven’t had a call from you to make new appointment???
Staff are like robot drones who seem to have no sympathy for the the poor service they provide…. Probably because they are well aware of the Appalling service being provided.
NHS outsourcing to the private sector , but should be done by and within the NHS
I recently received a letter for a lung health check with a pre-booked tel appt . They give their address but don't ever mention their name - quite an omission . The blue NHS logo is top right ; so you might imagine you would be speaking confidentially with the NHS .
Last June I chose to opt out of data sharing with any 3 rd party company or a new central NHS database .
It was a last minute thing since nobody was being told or asked their consent.
So to find my G.P practice had given this company my NHS No , address and phone number was a little concerning .
Actually if you check the postcode for the company , you will find an InHealth ' booking office ' in Cheshire . Look further into the company and find it is also ' InHealth Intelligence ' and has other partners it will share your personal data with . Who these partners are isn't clear ; click on their Privacy page and you'll find their ' our partners ' link leads to a 404 error ( ' this page doesn't exist ' ) .
Their partners might increase , but they have the right to share your data with ' their partners ' . Your G.P and any other healthcare providers are called ' 3 rd party ' and they require special permission to access more of that data .
A welcoming home page says you can stop their data processing at any time , though if you click on their ' Privacy ' page , it all appears quite different ; the right to have your data deleted , changed or transferred are all ' under some conditions' . Asking for this this requires a very formal Subject Access request with ID , and giving them one month to reply .
If you wish to know how long they may retain your data , they say you can only ask by using their own web-page ' secure portal ' which you will find on their web-site ( you send a message but do not retain a copy ) .
As for their data privacy T&Cs , they recommend clients revisit that page periodically as it may be subject to change .
It is a brilliant initiative - provided the NHS theirselves have the means to treat new cancer cases caught early , but I feel this should have been done by the NHS and kept within the NHS . Which leaves me with a dilemma ; am fundamentally opposed to the monetisation of NHS patient data , though of course there are merits in data sharing for research . But I feel that side of this scheme - whether in partnership with the NHS or not , is very opaque .
InHealth have not responded to any of my questions about data sharing & retention or their particular relationship with the NHS .
I view that as a bad sign .
Wrong diagnosis given on MRI
Had an MRI scan on my hips at my local hospital.
Got the diagnosis a few days later, also read by a radiologist at my local hospital. It was an extremely basic report telling me that I have bursitis in both hips.
My physiotherapist questioned the diagnosis on the report so I told Inhealth that I wanted a second opinion.
They sent my scan back to their reporting department and It took quite a while but eventually I got a response back from them saying that they were happy with the initial report that they had given me and no changes were required.
Whilst waiting for Inhealth to come back to me ( which took a few weeks) I decided to send my scan to a special radiologist in London who carries out second opinions., because something told me that it just wasn’t right.
The report from the private radiologist came back and it came back with a few discrepancies alongside a different diagnosis.
I have a labral tear in my hip, a cyst on my hip and tendinitis ( none of these issues were mentioned on the report that Inhealth sent me ).
I sent Inhealth my new report and this time theycame back to me telling me that in fact they did have it wrong!
I do have a labral tear, and I do have a cyst.
They added this as an addendum on my initial report.
No mention of tendinitis though, they know they will have to change the whole report if they mention this and it will look worse on them in their audit than it already does!
They admitted their failings, told me it wasn’t good enough, how disappointed they were blah, blah, blah refunded me my money, plus the money I paid for the second opinion., told me I could take my complaint to level 3 if I still wasn’t happy with their outcome.
I told them that I wanted to take the complaint to level 3 because all I want is a new report issued by them that correctly corresponds with my second opinion report.
They then came back to me and told me that they had made another error, in their previous email.
They told me that they were very sorry but because I had accepted the refund of £450 I could no longer take my complaint to the next level.
Despite them telling me I could.
The thing is I’m still not happy as my Dr has 2 reports with 2 different diagnoses., which could become confusing for treatment I may need in the future.
I will question every scan or imaging procedure I have in the future because of this.
I’m just glad it was for nothing serious !
How many other patient scans have been read wrongly ?
I can’t be the only one.
In the private health sector as well there is hardly any protection if things go wrong unless it’s life threatening.
You have no one to complain to apart from the business themselves and all they seem to be cared about is their audit.
If you get a scan with this company get a second opinion!
I wish I could put a zero star review
I wish I could put a zero star review, but it wasn’t possible, so I had to be generous and put 1 star.
I actually haven’t even received my results yet it has been more than one month I call my GP to know the results. And nothing, they simply say they haven’t received it.
I also remember when I was there, during the scan and the waiting it was a very hostile and cold environment, barely spoke to me as I was the person to receive the scan.
It’s really really bad service to treat people like machine, you are really terrible.
Excellent service

MRI Scan
Had an appointment for an MRI. Checked in at reception nice friendly receptionist went through a few things before scan, went through to MRI room with another 2 members made sure was okay when getting onto the MRI machine before and after scan all quick and easy all done in half hour. Great stuff.
Awful and unprofessional
I can't believe this company is responsible for peoples' health. My experience with them has been dire. Making the appointment was fairly straightforward, although I initially received a letter saying that the appointment would be in one of two locations. The appointment they actually gave me was somewhere entirely different which is a big issue for someone without a car. I was subsequently given a follow-up appointment saying I was having a 'procedure' but with absolutely no information on what the procedure was. Health appointments are worrying enough without being given no information at all. It took me a month to get any response to emails and that only happened after I made a formal complaint. I'm still waiting for a response for a further query about my referral. Appointments themselves were OK although extremely rushed and medical staff are cold. Bring back the NHS.
