URGENT Warning Jinnx Book Press
I am sharing my experience to warn fellow authors about Jinnx Book Press. After seven months, they have failed to fulfill their basic obligations regarding my publishing my books! Despite the fact that I personally designed, illustrated, edited, and proofread the work, the company has:
- Held Content Hostage: They are refusing to release books 2 and 3 of my trilogy.
- Predatory Upselling: Constant pressure to pay for additional, unnecessary services.
- Extortionate Tactics: Demanding more money while failing to deliver on the original agreement.
- Extreme Delays: Zero progress made on their end despite having the completed files.
If you are an author looking for a publishing partner, please exercise extreme caution. Protect your intellectual property and your finances by avoiding this company.

UPDATE 5.2.26 jinnx book press tried to remove my review citing it was false but they were over ruled
Response to Jinnx Book Press:
Your attempt to shift the blame for these delays onto me is both transparent and demonstrably false. As the author who has already invested £3,000 into this project, I have absolutely no incentive to "stall" my own work. Conversely, you have every incentive to manufacture delays and "scope" disputes to cover up non-performance, administrative turnover, and deceptive upselling tactics.
Let’s address the facts:
- The Editing Stalemate: Since November 2025, you have returned only 5 chapters of my trilogy. It is impossible for me to provide "actionable feedback" on work you have not yet sent back to me. To suggest I am the bottleneck while you sit on the majority of my manuscript is a blatant misrepresentation of the workflow.
- Contractual Dishonesty: My original agreement—arranged with Josh Lambert before his abrupt departure—explicitly includes ISBNs, the creation of a functional website, and a three-month marketing campaign. To now claim these are "ancillary services" or the "author's responsibility" after eight months of cooperation is a bad-faith attempt to rewrite our contract. I have the emails and the original signed agreement confirming these items are included; your "new" November contract was a retrospective attempt to strip away services I already paid for.
- The Website & Creative Labor: I have been forced to design the background images and select the color palettes myself because your "professional" designs were generic, stock templates. I am doing the work I hired you to do. The claim that you are "awaiting input" is a stalling tactic used only after I refused to succumb to Michael Greene's intense pressure to purchase additional "author notability" services.
- Predatory Upselling: It is not "transparent communication" to hold a project hostage until an author buys more services. Telling me I must pay for logos and ISBNs (which are free on platforms like Amazon) only after I refused your marketing upsells is the definition of coercive behavior.
I have provided feedback almost daily since July 2025. The silence only began when I filed formal complaints regarding your failure to provide correct legal advice and the sudden disappearance of agreed-upon deliverables.
I am not asking for "unlimited services"; I am demanding the specific services listed in my agreement. I have been honest because I want my books published. You are being deceptive because you have failed to deliver. Finish the editing, provide the ISBNs as contracted, and launch the website immediately. My next step will be sharing the physical evidence of our original agreement with legal counsel and consumer protection platforms.
UPDATE 13.3.26 I was informed by JINNX BOOKS PRESS and their sister company MC ZELL that my complaint would be reviewed by their "compliance team" I would have to wait 25 days for their response. I had paid them £3000 to publish my trilogy they managed to add only one the book I wrote, I proof read, I edited, I designed the book covers and chapter illustrations onto KDP and they didn't even do that properly. They published it in only India, they didnt add the book cover correctly (paperback) that failed the requirements of KDP that I had to fix and sort myself despite the fact I have never written or designed a book before I did it all better than this cowboy outfit! I managed to self publish my trilogy while waiting for 25 days and build my own website and heard nothing back from supposed "compliance team" it doesn't exist the email bounced back as invalid no calls messages emails just ignored me so I went to my bank who have a new super scam app fraud department. I wasn't hopeful as I had paid by debit card they did a quick thorough investigation and refunded me my £3000 they lost I won
