SCAM! Do not order from this company, only reason I did is because I saw this company featured on Wayfair and decided to buy directly from a black woman designer. BIG mistake, I spent $400 on a rug that this business NEVER shipped, months went by and they pretended to be preparing my order. Then they then sent an email saying go through my credit card company to get a refund. Avoid this company at all costs!!!

If i could give negative stars I would . I ordered a gift for my daughter , never got shipping notification, when i emailed them , after the 3rd email i sent they answered that my order was cancelled on my request. They have still not refunded me. I emailed again , and they said that they are reorganizing their company and will be back in 2025, that I should file a dispute with my credit card. Which I did …. This company is awful, rude, dishonest BEWARE and dont buy from them!!! Btw the order was made dec 2 2024. They cancelled the order on dec 10th , and dec 18th told me to file dispute with CC…. Terrible company !

This company are scammers. They took $300 for my order and never sent the order. Did not provide a shipping notice or tracking information. I have been trying to get ahold of them for three months. They do not answer emails or Shopify complaints, they have no phone number, and their website says they are closed. They are a SCAM. Do not attempt to order.

I ordered six items from Karen Jai Home totaling $299 (inclusive of shipping and taxes) nearly a month ago, attracted by their seemingly high-quality products and design. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive any update on my order, even though shipping was promised much sooner. I reached out via email to inquire about the status of my order, but after a week, I still haven’t received any response.

My concern grew when I checked their Instagram, which hasn’t been updated since 2022. While this alone isn’t necessarily an issue, it raises red flags when combined with the lack of communication and absence of updates. This makes me wonder if the company is still in operation, if they have a serious customer service problem, or if this is possibly a scam.

I’m deeply disappointed and frustrated by this experience, and I hope that others take caution before purchasing from Karen Jai Home. I would love to be proven wrong, but for now, I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

BEWARE DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS BUSINESS. I wish I would have read the reviews prior to my purchase. They are incredibly negligent. I ordered on 4/26. Never received my order. After several emails and phone calls (unanswered) to the number another disgruntled customer left on this page I had to run a dispute thru affirm on June 2 and finally got a resolution today. Karen Jai you should be ashamed of yourself .. just taking customers money and not producing any products .. no explanation or communication … shameful and disrespectful !

I truly can’t say enough good things about Karen Jai! Not only have I been a loyal customer for years since their quality and items are unmatched, I received great customer service from them yesterday. I had a question about an order and not only did they answer my question, they offered me a credit which is much appreciated. If you are thinking of purchasing from this amazing company, hesitate no longer because they are awesome.

Do not order from Karen Jai Home. It is either a fake company, or a company that is extremely mismanaged. I ordered two items for my sister-in-law on Sun, Dec 24, 2023. It is now May 30th, 2024. The items amounted to over $100. I received an order number and an email stating the items would be shipped shortly. Christmas came and went, and I received a notification that the shipment was delayed. After several months passed I became concerned. I have now reached out to their support team over a dozen times. I have never received a response, a refund, or an update. My card was charged and I heard nothing back. Buyers beware, this is likely not a real company. I've reported their social media pages.

Company is a SCAM! Do not order anything. Made a purchase, never arrived, waited according to thier policy but turns out its just in-time for your credit card company to longer accept disputes. Contact them at 310-975-7644.

Had a similar experience to everyone here. Ordered a mug for a Valentine’s Day gift and never received it two months later. I sent a frustrated text and she finally called me back to scold me for saying f_ck. She and all her products can go to hell. Give me back my money.

On 6/10/23, I placed an order with Karen Jai in the amount of $196.27. Months passed, and I did not receive my order, despite my reaching out to their customer support email to check in. On September 15th, I finally heard back from them, and they said they escalated my order to the shipping supervisor. I received one of the two items I ordered -- the less expensive item which cost $35, about ten days later. I proceeded to follow up three times by email about my $138 rug with no response. I messaged the company on LinkedIn, tried calling, and messaged them on Instagram four times with no response. It has been eight months, and I am clearly not getting my rug. Hundreds of people have complained about this business being a scam, and they need to be shut down. I joined an Instagram Live video where the owner, Janelle Langford, was promoting something else, and I messaged publicly that I had not received my products. She kicked me off the livestream and blocked my account, so I could no longer contact her. It is a total scam, and they are continuing to forge partnerships and be written up in media (or at least pose as such, as exemplified by the Architectural Digest article; it looks like a fake write up).

They strung me along for 6+ months, and I am totally fed up. Do not support this business.

I ordered a rug in september, here we are in February, still no rug. No replies to email, no replies via IG, no replies when you call. Frustrated because the rug was over $500. I only spent that amount because I wanted to support the owner.

I ordered the Niteroi Rug over 4 months ago for a client. I understood that this rug might take a while to ship so I gave it time. Since ordering I’ve reached out twice to inquire about my order with no response. I received no shipping email, tracking or confirmation of delivery but got an email for a survey about the product?? Be for real. I tried to support a woman & black owned business but who knows what this really is. Do NOT order from here! Do your research first. At the moment I have Amex stepping in to rectify the problem and getting my client their money back.

Terrible customer service. I was charged $150 for an item. Never arrived. Left so many messages and emails. Never heard back. I will never shop with them again or recommend them. Now I’m trying to despute the charges with my bank.

The perfect gift for my friend's wedding! I saw the write up on Karen Jai Home on Apartment Therapy and got a vase for my friend as a wedding gift. The vase was perfection and the new couple loved it (even though it wasn't on the registry, lol). They've since purchased pieces from the Karen Jai too!

Love my new rug from Karen Jai Home!!! I purchased the Itá Rug and its gorg! On time shipping and great communication.

Don’t let the cuteness fool you because this company doesn’t believe in customer service period. This company steals your hard working money to fund their personal wardrobe and you will have no products to show for it. Don’t buy anything from their site. Just like the others before have complained about lack of response and no resolution, it is all true. This company owner is unprofessional and combative. I purchased 2 items in February and still nothing except the emotional and financial scarring from their owner/creative director/customer service Janelle Langford. Woman owned brand that does shady business.

I ordered a vase on 9/28/22. At the time I purchased, the "UPS Ground" shipping option showed an estimate of 3-5 business days. Over the next three weeks, I emailed their Customer Support team three times to request an update on my order, but I never received a response. On 10/27/22, I finally received an email that my order had shipped. However, it is 12/15/22, and the USPS status for the tracking number provided still shows as "USPS Currently Awaiting Package." Their Customer Support team remains unresponsive.

I ordered two items during a November Black Friday sale, expecting to have them by Christmas. My credit card was charged, but then I heard nothing from them even after repeated inquiries. When I tried to get my money back they claimed the items were in the mail and I didn't receive them until the following February. I purchased two woven floor pillows which were overpriced garbage. They are tiny and of poor quality. They are extremely uncomfortable (one of them is woven grass over a metal frame- no padding!) and they are falling apart after a few months despite minimal use. Absolutely do not buy from this company. They have beautiful photographs, not beautiful products and horrific customer service.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! They steal your money!! I placed an order and did not receive a confirmation email. The money (over $100) was debited from my account but did not receive my items. I’ll probably never get my money back. They have time to post on instagram but no time to respond to customer emails. Total scam! Do not trust!!

I should have read the reviews, please do not order, poor customer service and they do not provide a tracking number. They also do not respond to emails and have limited their comments on IG because they know they are terrible. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS EVER! You will regret it! I got my money back!
