Kenco have drastically messed up. I’ve drunk Kenco smooth for a very long time. Increasing the price by means of stealth is mildly irritating but ruining the recipe is a disaster and I’ll be taking my custom elsewhere

Oh dear Kenko what have you done? Why change something that worked really well. Discusting butter black sludge in the bottom of my cup and I don't appreciate it please go back to the old recipe. If it ain't broke don't fix it

Been a Kenco Smooth customer for a very long time and was shocked to find sludge at the bottom of my cup.
This product should no longer be called instant.
I have written into the company and have had a blanket reply from customer service, which had nothing to do with what I asked.
Next reply was informing me that the product had changed and reads full of praises of how wonderful it now was.
Well it's not your product is now horrible and you CS is bad too...

Well my whole household isn't happy. Grandparents and friends, who switched to Kenco because of enjoying a brew with us, aren't happy.... the mission is to try every brand going between us all now, to try and find a new brew! Years and years of buying Kenco, because it was delicious! To the recent purchase, i actually spat it out, as I thought it had gone off! Came to the Internet to see it isn't just me. Its changed. Gutted! Bye Kenco.

So unhappy with the new kenko rich brand. The size is one the but the taste is another. It does not taste good at all. I've been a kenko rich coffee drinker for years, it's the only thing I drink all day. Not any more. It's bitter and gritty. Left over grit in the cup. The over all taste has changed too much for my liking so I will not be buying this anymore. Kenko please change it back.

Not what I was hoping for.
Thought it would be better tasting. But it's awful. The coffee doesn't mix well and leaves a horrible bottom layer while drinking.
Looks like I'll be finding a different company for my coffee.

Kenco Smooth recipe has been downgraded by adding dusty residue with the granules. The price remains the same but quantities have been reduced.
The dust has not improved the flavour, as Kenco claim, it leaves a bitter taste and dirty mugs.
Kenco Smooth always took some beating but an alternative is now being sought.

Would give zero stars if I could, absolutely awful sludge now, will be switching, google ai recommends carte nore as it doesn’t have the micro grind that doesn’t dissolve, obviously Kenco are using this waste product as a filler. Will never buy kenco again

I totally concur with other recent reviews of Kenco Smooth - the new "recipe" is nowhere near as nice and having chosen this brand/blend for as long as I can remember, I will have to look for an alternative when I next buy coffee because I no longer enjoy the taste at all I'm afraid

Always been a favourite coffee of mine, but honestly can’t drink it. It’s disgusting, does not dissolve, bottom of cups like sludge and leave awful taste. No longer kenco for me I’m afraid

Very disappointed with the change to Kenco instant coffee. The taste and texture have deteriorated. A powdery, bitter taste and a sludge left in the cup. I’m looking for a new coffee brand.

The new recipe is horrid. Will not be buying again.

If I could give it zero I would. My favourite coffee for years now tastes absolutely awful and leaves a disgusting, undrinkable, sludge in the bottom of the cup. Not worth the cost, especially as shrinkflation means you get less coffee for the same price.

You can call Kenco and get free Voucher for this new rubbish they sold you.

They only way they will listen.

Why Why Why change

Not only has Kenco succumbed to the awful practice of Shrinkflation trying to duper customers but they have changed not only the jars but the recipe. I have enjoyed Kenco Rich coffee for years but will not be buying anymore. The taste is weaker and there is always a disgusting powdery sludge left on the bottom of the cup. The jars were always easily identified by their coloured lids but now you have to check the labels, not always easy on a supermarket shelf. Please revert to the old jars and the old recipes otherwise another customer is going elsewhere.

I contacted Kenco regarding the new taste red top coffee. It’s absolutely VILE. I’ve drank it for years as I’m not a tea drinker. I think at this point mellow birds tastes better. It’s a horrible taste and leaves a vile taste in the mouth. My cups are all marked. Why change something that doesn’t need to be changed?!?! Come on Kenco please revert back. Kenco apologised about the sludge in the mug but not about the changes.

Unannounced change in recipe has ruined our favourite coffee. Looks powdery, leaves mud in the bottom of the cup, and worst, gives me horrible heartburn which I never had with the old formula. WHY???

I placed my usual order for Kenco Rich and noticed the colour of the jar/refill packaging had changed from blue to red. After tasting it I was not happy with the flavour. It just doesn’t taste or smell the same. It leaves that dark sludge at the bottom like you’d get in fresh ground coffee. Such a shame! I have been drinking this coffee for years. Always loved the smell as you opened the lid. Rich tasting without the bitterness and definitely no residue around the cup as you drank it or sludge at the bottom. Now they have changed it. I will definitely be using another brand. Why oh why did they need to change the flavour. Bring back the original brand ‘Please’

Been drinking Kenco smooth and rich for years and happy with it, now all of a sudden changed formula and it is crap taste and has sludge in the bottom of the cup. I like many others are moving on. Cannot understand the thinking, why destroy such a good brand?????
