Just had my eyebrows, chin & upper lip threaded by Sharini at Kess hamilton. Highly recommend. Very happy with the results, she even gave my face a little massage when applying cream after which felt sooo good! Thank you heaps Sharini

I’ve been to the salon a lot of times and the service had always been great. I always leave happy because my hair looks great everytime. Monica is the hairdresser that always does my hair and her service is great. I recommend this hair place.

Went for haircut was not straight as said by friend so went back while i was inthe mall and asked the women to recheck who did showed its fine but was on a black apron. But my husband said the same the left side is lengthy and cut is up and down.. cut was done by lady named Priscilla.

Thank you Catherine of Kess Hair Northlands Mall for making our mom look and feel beautiful. Great service. Great price. Very accomodating to move our booking around due to delayed arrival. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended! 10/10!

Went to see Shanika for a facial last weekend. She did an incredible job - took her time and paid attention to detail. Gave me good recommendations regarding maintenance and product use as well. Very professional, would recommend to all.

Had an absolutely terrible experience here! I called to double check I was purchasing the right package prior to buying it on grab one and was told yes you can use that for bleaching. Upon arriving the hair stylist informed me the package doesn't include bleaching and it would cost an extra $100 which I agreed to pay. Once the service had been provided I was then told "no you can't use that grab one package here" and turns out they didnt even have that promo running at that specific salon! so it ended up costing me $390! Hairstylist didn't even apply a treatment to my hair after beaching nor did she give me a proper trim and missed patches with the toner so i had to purchase a toning treatment myself and finish the job at home! Clearly the staff there have no idea of the services they provide or promos currently running. While I was there another lady called about her botched hair straightening treatment she had received a couple of days prior at the same salon. If you value your time, hard earned money and hair I suggest you go to another salon! Manager/owner was extremely unhelpful and rude! Offered no resolution! This was at Kess Hair and Beauty Northlands

I went in asking for layers in the front, and came out with layers everywhere and my hair shorter than ever! This is outrageous! I had been given a haircut complete different haricut to than I asked for, without my permission. Also the customer service was insane, it was soo bad, she tugged my hair, no smiles and treated me as if I was an alien and the lady behind seemed to not no anything what she was doing with her clients hair, and my barber ended cutting her hair after. THIS IS A VERY BAD STORE, NEVER GO IN.

Just had a tidy up with Nishi (Kess Chartwell) and she did a phenomenal job! Will go back to her again!

I’m in New Zealand 🇳🇿 from last 10 years never had wow type feeling after seeing sm1’s haircut 💇‍♀️.. other day I saw my sister-in-law and my two nieces had haircut and I literally said wow after seeing their style. So I decided to get a haircut as well because I’m very particular for my hair. I have extra long straight hair.. I never allow anyone to touch my hair to be honest but this time I went to kess (city centre) I asked for Sharini hair dresser there who did fabulous job for my family members… I told her not to cut my length too much because I am very picky for My hair length.. she did the same thing and the look she gave to my hair was mind blowing. Absolutely beautiful. I would reward her if I will get a chance to do such an amazing job for me. I am very satisfied and on the top of that I am more satisfied that finally I got the best hairdresser for myself in New Zealand.

Arpana from Kess Manukau did an incredible job on my hair this morning—better than I expected! The wash was so refreshing, and my curls turned out absolutely gorgeous—soft, bouncy, and flawless. Such a wonderful experience! Highly recommend her.

The customer service was great.Good product knowledge from the manukau store.The lady who dye my hair was friendly. All the staff from manuka store was great.Specially the boss meena.Great job

I took my daughter here to sylvia park store for her first ever hair cut. I seen how my daughter explained how she wanted her hair done and she even showed pictures of how she wanted it and how she did not want it. The lady that cut her hair was hopeless. She didnt listen to one instruction from my daughter. She cut my girls hair waaay to bloody short. She didnt give her the style that she asked and showed the stylist. She even cut it crooked and my daughter left this store crying. Crying cause the lady didnt listen and was just rushing it. My daughter also had her hair dyed as well, this lady left a whole lot of dye dried up on my daughter forehead and neck. Disappointed in the service my daughter was provided, the stylists certinly dont take their customers opinions into consideration. We wont be coming back here ever.

I visited Kess hair and beauty Salon in Botany Auckland and had the microblading eyebrows by Dave and I must say he did an amazing job they look beautiful and well placed will come back Dave, AAA+++ Highly recommend Kess Botany. 😊

I had an amazing experience at Kess Salon - Manawa Bay today, thanks to Dee! She provided exceptional full service care and transformed my long, boring hair into a stunning, perfectly layered cut. It feels so much lighter and looks incredible, exactly what I wanted! Dee’s attention to detail and skill made the entire experience so enjoyable. Thank you, Dee, for your expertise and for exceeding my expectations. I’m beyond happy with the result!

I have had always had a phobia of going to hair salons but my experience today was amazing.
Amil Rukshan did a spectacular job I have never seen my hair with actual volume. I was in literal tears of joy.

I highly recommend booking in the next time you want your hair cut etc. I can not say thank you enough for the wonderful experience.

Terrible experience- nice enough girl but unskilled stylist ( Kathryn) who gave me false information regarding K18 products, ( told me not to overuse as it’s like olaplex and too much protein- umm it’s actually a peptide which mimics natural hair structure- does not include protein & cannot be overused! 🤦‍♀️ )
Was going to get the beauty lady ( not a hairdresser?!) to wash my hair for her 🚩but did herself & she STILL !! left colour on my scalp- so I had to go home and rewash, I had a root colour applied and some lowlights of the same colour which did absolutely nothing , NO CHANGE of colour so no different then when I walked in so paid for NOTHING!!!
What did I pay for?!
AND I have been refused a refund, because apparently they can’t “AFFORD” ( their words) to pay me?! What way is that to run a business?!
Had to wait for a basin so I assume one must be broken? and the salon is very messy and in desperate need of an update..
I don’t live in Chch but have actually been in this industry for 26 years and went in for a treat to get a client experience done while in town for a family funeral.
I have gone back and forth via email for over a week .
I have since had done with another senior stylist and my colour is as I expected when I visited this salon, a lot of training needs done here and hair washing / massage skills are non existent.
I Am now going to start the process of going through small Claims process to get refund as they are unreasonable and unprofessional - avoid this place at all costs!
Note they only reply to positive reviews.
I am happy to refrase this review and say they are at least reasonable if I get my refund.
I have attach picture of selected colour to google review and result and have emails stating they won’t refund just because the hairdresser said she is not wrong- also then included they used a developer which lifts one level and deposits, not a developer which has maximum deposit which was required.

DEEPAK, the Amazing barber at KESS Albany is always giving satisfaction to my son and grandson. He is so friendly, kind and works with care and precision. he is very patient with young boys. we would recommend DEEPAK if you would love to have those modern cuts for men and boys. we are his loyal/regular customers.
