Misleading labelling
The single star reflects on the misleading labelling of the products. I looked at a number of sweaters in the Manchester Store. The collar label states Kiltane Scotland. The inner label in respect of the composition of the garment and washing instructions does not have information as to where the garment was manufactured. So the label misleads the purchaser into believing that the garment is made in Scotland. When I queried the provenance I was told the cashmere was from Mongolia. I knew that, but again I had to ask where it was made and received an evasive answer. Simply put this is NOT MADE IN SCOTLAND, and the labelling implies it is. Kiltane is a Scottish brand, with our designs created in the heart of Edinburgh, which is why our branding features Scotland. However, not all of our products are manufactured in Scotland. We work with specialist producers around the world, including Mongolia, where some of the finest quality cashmere is produced.
For customers specifically looking for products made in Scotland, we have a dedicated Made in Scotland collection on our website and in store. Products within this collection are manufactured in Scotland and are clearly identified as Made in Scotland.

Poor quality
I ordered 3 sweaters and 2 T-shirts, all advertised as cashmere, about a month ago. I chose this brand because I expected high quality, especially considering the price—around £140 per piece.
Unfortunately, the items started pilling after just one day of wear. The fabric feels very poor quality and quickly developed a fuzzy, worn appearance, almost like cheap paper-thin material or mohair shedding. For products at this price point, this is completely unacceptable.
I have purchased cashmere from other brands costing around £70 per item, and the quality was the same or even better. Based on my experience, these products are definitely not worth the money.
Very disappointing quality and poor value for such expensive clothing. I would not recommend this brand.

While some degree of pilling can occur with all cashmere, especially during the first few wears as excess fibres are naturally released, we appreciate that the level you experienced has left you feeling dissatisfied.
To help minimise pilling, we recommend avoiding excessive friction from items such as bags, seatbelts, and outerwear, and gently removing any pills with a cashmere comb.

Great products but why the super skinny models - not very inclusive.
Very pleased with my new jumper and cap, good quality and a reasonable price. However - I really think that the use of super skinny models is outdated and not very inclusive. Be good to see some balance Kiltane.

Having just been diagnosed with brain cancer, I wanted to treat myself to something that combined luxury, self care & comfort, and style. The shawl is the perfect example of all these qualities. My temperature is very unpredictable - but I know I can warm up quickly by throwing the scarf on. The quality is superb - clean, perfect hems. Delivery was breathtakingly fast, with great customer service. I would thoroughly recommend Kiltane - it's a product that will stay in our family in perpetuity 😊

No returns without customs & full shipping costs
Sell in EU from website but do not provide any safe means of returning items. Customers in EU will likely be unaware that they have to pay customs duties returning an item as well as full postage/courier costs.
