I placed a very large order with Kinto…
I placed a very large order with Kinto all at once, and overall I have mixed feelings. They make beautiful products, their branding is strong, and a lot of what they offer really does feel high quality. But at the same time, there were several things that just did not feel fully thought through in terms of quality and usability.
To break it down, I bought some of their beautiful two-piece pots, the ones with a separate bottom and top. I got both the cream white version and the dark gray one. The lighter versions look amazing, but the downside is that the bottom plates discolored very quickly. Cleaning them can also be a bit of a hassle, although once they are clean, they do look great again.
Next, I bought a glass carafe, which is no longer in production now, which I can understand. The problem with it was that whenever you filled it up, closed the top, and started pouring water, it would leak from the threaded area underneath the lid. It did not happen every single time, but often enough to become very annoying. That is exactly why it ended up sitting unused in the closet.
I also bought some tumblers, and I have no complaints about those at all. They have been perfect. I even still have one that is several years old and it still works fantastically.
The last item I want to mention is the coffee cups. I bought four in total. Two are already gone. One was completely my fault, as I dropped it on the counter and it shattered. But the other one seemed like it may have had a production defect. After using it for coffee and tea, we rinsed it off and set it aside. Later, while stacking the cups, one of them made a very strange sound. I checked it more closely and tapped it lightly with a spoon. That is when I noticed a crack forming. When I pulled at it slightly, a piece came away, and then a larger piece followed. In the end, nearly half of the cup was ready to come off, which is quite concerning for something meant to hold hot drinks.
Just to compare, we tested the other two cups the same way with a spoon. Those gave off a strong, solid sound, while the damaged one had a hollow ticking sound. That was definitely disappointing and made me question the consistency of the quality.
Overall, I am happy with many of Kinto’s products, but not all of them. That is what makes this frustrating. There is clearly a lot to like, but there are also some quality issues that should not be ignored. It is also a shame that they are not easy to contact when it comes to returns, questions, or some form of reimbursement. I really hope they improve their customer service in the coming years.
This is probably the longest review I have ever written, but I felt it was important to share.

Guys you have to film your unboxing as evidence!
This was my first time ordering from Kinto Europe website. (Order no: 50009717). I ordered a water bottle and a to go tumbler, however when I received my package it only contained the tumbler and not the water bottle. There were no visible signs that the package had been tampered with. When I contacted customer service, they responded by saying their Quality Control team had confirmed that both items were packed and, to be transparent, they attached cctv footage of what was supposedly packed in their warehouse. The footage was so pixelated that it was impossible for me to tell which items were actually being packed.
My advice for when ordering from online shops is to always record a video of the unboxing process as it can serve as evidence in case of disputes over missing products or shipping damage.

Fragwürdige Website, schwachsinnige AGB
Unternehmen verstößt gegen die Impressumspflicht, führt Behauptungen in ihren Rückgaberichtlinien auf, die nicht der Rechtslage entsprechen und gibt keine Informationen darüber, wohin die Waren bei Widerruf gesendet werden müssen.
Das Unternehmen ist sicherlich an sich "seriös", die diversen Ungerheimtheiten schrecken allerdings ab und als Kunde muss man sich alles zusammenraten.
Und wenn man die AGB liest, merkt man, dass hier jemand keine Ahnung hat und dir als Kunden lediglich alle Rechte abzusprechen versucht.

DO NOT PURCHASE THE KINTO BOTLIT…
DO NOT PURCHASE THE KINTO BOTLIT DRESSING BOTTLES. I have long used Kinto products and really liked the Kinto Botlitt Dressing bottle...until the bottle top stopper literally crumbled in my hands after the first use. I reached out to Kinto's customer support to see where I could get (i.e., Purchase) a replacement topper. Over a course of Their support is slow to non-existent. Instead of trying to help, the only response from them is "We do not offer replacements or refunds on any items..."
If you want a quality product that lasts more than one use, do not buy any of the Kinto Botlitt products with a glass topper.

Mauvaise qualité et SAV inutile
J’ai reçu à Noël dernier un set slow coffee style pour deux tasses qui a fait ma plus grande joie. Le produit est bien pensé, et je pouvais retrouver mon café du matin si cher à mes yeux. Malheureusement, il y a quelques jours en voulant préparer mon café j’ai remarqué que la carafe était fissurée sur une grande partie. Incompréhension totale étant donné que j’y accorde le plus grand soin, je lave chaque élément à la main et rien n’est jamais tombé. J’ai contacté le service client en expliquant la situation, sur le site il est précisé que les produits ne sont pas garantis mais qu’en cas de problème dans les 6 mois ils peuvent potentiellement échanger. J’ai eu une réponse rapide et décevante : deux lignes pour me dire de racheter la carafe avec le lien du site. Au vu du prix des produits et mon utilisation je trouve ça scandaleux. Je suis dégoûtée. Je ne recommande pas.

I really wanted to like this brand and I invested in their spice jars. After 1 year if it not sealing at all I just had the epiphany that I should just buy some cheap ones on amazon because honestly they'll be 10x better.
Kronos glasses not dishwasher safe and CS refuses replacement
We bought the KRONOS glasses because the idea of double-wall seemed pretty convenient. However when washed in the dishwasher the water penetrates between the two “walls” and although the customer support has admitted a quality issue, nevertheless they refuse to send us a replacement. They claim that this is expected due to usage - this has happened to many of our glasses with usage between 1 and 2 years. Not recommended.
Excellent customer service and product
I ordered my rice pot cooker on January 18th which was a Saturday and received it on January 23rd . I am not quite sure why some people’s experience has been negative . After I read the negative reviews , I began doubting and bombarded the customer support many times and each time the customer support responded quickly assuring me that the order was confirmed and will be shipped . It is hard to trust website these days given the power of AI and scammers. However, I am very happy with not only the level of customer service , shipment quality and timing and above all the quality of top of the line Japanese product. Overall my experience was excellent .

kinto Rice cooker service client d’un autre siècle
kinto Rice cooker commandé pour la fête des mères. La traduction en français des instructions plutôt approximative.
A al réception, je me rends compte que le rice cooker ne s'utilise que sur feu au gas…
Déjà, ça parait hallucinant en 2024…
La mauvaise surprise provient des conditions de retour. 25€ à ma charge pour un article à 88€ pour renvoyer le colis aux Pays Bas.
C’est la 1ère et dernière fois que je commande sur ce site…
Mangelhafter Service, unsympathische Mitarbeiter
Service - mangelhaft. Weder Umtausch noch Adressenänderung bei einer hohen Summe und großen Bestellung möglich. Die Ansprechpartnerin, ist ebenfalls sehr unsympathisch.
Die Ware hat eine super Qualität.
Bestellen würde ich die Produkte bei einem anderen Anbieter.

Tja. Das Produkt entsprach nicht der Beschreibung. Nun habe ich es fristgerecht zurückgesandt. Der Prozess des Rücksendeverfahrens ist super aufwendig! Ich musste mehrere Fragen und Antworten lesen, bis ich an den Punkt gekommen bin, an dem ich dann eine E-Mail senden musste. Ich bekam dann die Anschrift und hatte rund 18 € für den Rückversand zu tragen. Auf meine Erstattung des Kaufpreises und der Versandkosten konnte ich warten. Nach ca. vier Wochen leitete ich ein Rückerstattungsgesuch über PayPal ein. Darüber habe ich bezahlt. Jetzt ist der Vorgang drei Monate alt und leider habe ich noch immer keine Rückerstattung des Kaufpreises und der Versandkosten erhalten. Meine klare Empfehlung - kauft diese Produkte am besten über einen Handelsplatz, der ordentlich aufgestellt ist, oder geht in ein Geschäft.

Disgraceful customer service
Disgraceful customer service. The inside coating of my travel tumbler peeled off, I emailed Kinto and gave all the details they required in the hope for a replacement as i had only had it 4 months. It was outside of the returns policy at the retailer and Kinto told me they dont supply the retailer I bought from which is Amazon. So you're saying that you don't supply Amazon? Will never buy another Kinto product again.

Quando são chamados à razão e se apercebem do erro, simplesmente retiram e nem sequer fazem um pedido de desculpas. A pior empresa do ramo a atuar em Portugal, e vocês irão aperceber-se assim que assinarem o contrato com eles.
Shockingly Poor After Sales Don’t Follow their own Refund Policy
Really beautiful products with a pristine website but customer service is woefully poor. I purchased an expensive cup which arrived late for Christmas and wasn’t that great in reality so requested a return/refund. Kinto chose to accept this but I had to pay high price for return then informed they would not cover customs leaving me to pay that too. In all I paid the same as the order just to return and after three weeks I received the same order back, without explanation. Not once did Kinto respond to my emails re. customs or progressing refund as per their own policy. I sent my complaint and they have not chosen to respond. I’m a one time customer but isn’t that what builds business? It certainly makes or breaks online reputation. Kinto will take your money gladly but in after sales they’re shockingly and unnecessarily poor.

Sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung da die Produkte von Kinto im Allgemeinen Wunderschön und Qualitativ Hochwertig sind.
