National Parks of Alaska Tour - July 2024

This was a comprehensive tour of six National Parks throughout Alaska, Katmai, Kenai, Lake Clark, Denali, Gates of the Arctic and Wrangell-St. Elias. We had an aggressive schedule that had us flying all over Alaska to see the sights. Coordination of multiple planes to accommodate our group of 26 was handled flawlessly. Accommodations were as good as each area provided allowing us an authentic local experience. This is an active schedule but when you are on a plane, bus or train, you can catch some rest if needed.
It is important to note that everything is scheduled for you, there is very little personal time for exploring destinations and activities not on the agenda. If you must start late in the morning and require a leisurely pace, this is not the trip for that.
I found this trip was an excellent value and I came away with a very great appreciation for the tremendous state of Alaska.

Everything that we did was top notch, from our hotel, coach bus, food, places we stayed, Jeremy our tour guide…. You name it we just had a fabulous time!!

The company makes sure you are taken care of in the most efficient, friendly and enjoyable way. The tour guides are super in bag handling, transporting us, getting us to the right destination on time and tending to our needs.

the trip was well planned. Group size was 34 which worked. I prefer smaller groups
Serving sizes of food were way too big. i know that is an Alaska tradition, but please work with your vendors to decrease serving size. too much waste. OR find a way to take left overs to homeless or food shelf. Encourage people to split entrees.

Before we even left our home, the communication from John Hall's was excellent. They kept us up to date with itinerary, what we needed to do next, suggestions for what to wear, I could go on and on. If we ever had a question, we called Jenny at John Hall's and she was able help us.
Then shortly before we left for our trip, we got a detailed "My Tour Information" booklet with pictures and a brief bio of our tour reps along with a daily summary of our itinerary. We found this very helpful and also a nice souvenir of our trip for future reference.

We had a great vacation With John Hall's Travel! Paul was an awesome tour guide, and Larry was a great bus driver with a real nice, comfortable bus. The motels were top notch, except for the Denali cabins, which were too small for two bigger people. The 3 meals per day was a lot, especially for somebody who only eats twice a day. But the food was there if you wanted it, and it was all very good! If John Hall Travel is available for our next vacation, we will definitely use them. They are a definitely a 5 star company! Thank you for an awesome experience!

The team at John Halls Alaska made our trip unforgettable. From the help we received while booking flights and getting travel insurance to the very last shuttle ride home - every team member made our trip one we will never forget.

The entire trip and all it included - especially Jeremy - was exciting, interesting, and well worth the investment! We enjoyed all of the meals, the hotels, the tours, the motor coach, and out travel companions.

John Hall delivered what was promised. Very professional, all inclusive services made for an enjoyable and stress free vacation. Our tour manager was excellent and very knowledgeable about Alaska. We saw a lot of Alaska in our 10 days. Unfortunately we were not able to enter Denali due to forest fires, but John Hall quickly provided a trip on the old Denali Hwy. that was excellent. They adapted quickly and professionally. The variety of excursions was excellent and the food venues fantastic. Will definitely consider future tours with John Hall.

We went to 2 seminars in The Villages, Florida and we were very impressed with what we saw!
Everything on our trip was just as wonderful as we had hoped. The only fault we found was over feeding us!!! Fabulous trip! Thank you!

This was the best money I have spent in a long time. It is not very often today to get what you pay for, it is much less common to get more than you expected. Just a terrific experience from start to finish. Eric was a fantastic guide and driver. Running the sled dogs on the glacier was an experience of a lifetime, worth every penny. You will be happy you took one of John Hall's tours.

Tour guide was fantastic. Only 17 people on a 50 person luxury motorcoach made for a very comfortable experience. JHA knows where to take you to see so many of the wonderful sights in Alaska.

The Southern African Safari trip was outstanding! Not only did we stay in 5 star accommodations, but we saw quite a variety of wild animals. The guides at the Shamwari Reserve were exceptional at locating them. Victoria Falls was a magnificent sight to see and our weather the entire trip was great! Another highlight was spending a few nights/days on the Zambezi Queen, cruising the river. All in all, we were in five different African countries and this was a trip of a lifetime!

Trip of a lifetime . Fantastic hotel accommodations , food was out of this world. Gained ten pounds and enjoyed every minute. Wildlife viewing was amazing and pictures don’t do it justice.
Tour leader was very professional and knowledgeable .

John Hall always does the best at running tours and their people are fantastic. Accommodating each individuals needs as well.
