Macy is very friendly and I am eager to work with her to find a suitable flat this summer. She is very prompt and provided me with the necessary guidance throughout our interactions in my flat search.

My experience with Leaders Lettings has been nothing short of frustrating and costly. The team demonstrated a complete lack of understanding of even basic letting practices. I was incorrectly asked to pay fees upfront when a tenant was found—despite the fact that such fees are typically deducted from the first month’s rent.

When I questioned this, they failed to proceed with tenant referencing and repeatedly misled me by claiming the process had already started. Upon requesting proof or a tracking reference, I was met with excuses and no transparency.

Escalating the matter did not help. The branch manager chose to defend the staff rather than address the issue professionally. Even more concerning, when I raised a formal complaint with head office, the regional director responded to a two-month-old email with an irrelevant and careless reply—clearly unaware that the complaint was already being handled. Instead of providing guidance, I was simply told to raise another stage complaint without any explanation of the process.

This level of disorganisation, lack of accountability, and poor communication is unacceptable. As a direct result of their mishandling, I have incurred financial losses exceeding £10,000.

I am now pursuing this matter further through the ombudsman and, if necessary, the county court.

Avoid this agency if you value professionalism and transparency.

Overall we had a good experience with leaders in Eastbourne when selling our house. Beverley was very easy to contact, always extremely friendly and helpful, and kept us updated. She did her best to make the process stress free. I felt that I could contact her directly whenever I had a question. I would highly recommend

Very disappointing experience with Leaders Cambridge branch and the property management team.

We had an extremely stressful and frustrating experience during our tenancy process. A 12-month tenancy was initially agreed, but this was later changed to a 4-month fixed term very close to the tenancy start date. This caused major inconvenience and uncertainty at a critical time.

There were also delays and administrative errors around the tenancy start date and key collection. Instead of a smooth and professional process, we were left dealing with confusion, poor coordination, and unnecessary stress. For a company handling people’s housing arrangements, this level of disorganisation is unacceptable.

What made the experience worse was the lack of proper ownership and accountability. Even after raising the issue formally, the matter has still not been handled in a satisfactory way. Customer care acknowledged the problems and apologised, but that has not translated into a proper resolution. It felt like nobody was truly taking responsibility.
One month no deposit payment charged for 3 days of staying.

The Cambridge branch staff and property management team were disappointing to deal with. Communication was poor, expectations were changed late, and the overall service fell well below what any tenant should reasonably expect.

I hope this doesn't happen to others.
